At long last, Eddie Murphy is reprising his role as street-smart cop Axel Foley in the fourth instalment of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, which is set to hit Netflix this summer. But, it isn’t easy being a middle aged action star. It’s been nearly thirty years since we last saw Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, and in a recent interview with People Magazine he admitted that the shoot was a “rough one”.“I did Axel Foley when I was in my 20s. I am not in my 20s anymore,” he said. At any rate, Murphy won’t be the only aged actor from the original to show up, with many of the classic Beverly Hills Cop cast members are set to join him in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. Here’s everything we know about Beverly Hills Cop 4!

Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy have joined the cast of “Reacher” as series regulars for the upcoming third season.
Season 3 of the Alan Ritchson-led action show is based on the seventh book in Lee Child’s bestselling “Jack Reacher” series, titled “Persuader.” In the novel, Reacher goes undercover to rescue an informant held by an enemy from his past.
Hall joins the series as Zachary Beck, who is described as “a formidable and successful businessman” as well as “a widow and single father of a 20-year-old son, Richard.” Zachary owns a rug import company that Reacher and his associates believe is covering for a more nefarious operation.
Cassidy has been cast as Susan Duffy, who is “an extremely intelligent and tough DEA agent from Boston with a sharp and sarcastic sense of humor.” Cassidy is best known for “The Man Who Fell to Earth” and “Lodge 49.”

'Historical horror' is not a term that's been especially popularized, but it's most effective when describing the delicious combination of historical events and fictional horror. This subgenre has been quietly enjoying a great run during the last decade or so: not only have there been several movies that brilliantly mix detail-heavy period settings with creepy goings-on but there have been a number of TV shows delving into historical horror with much success, such as Showtime's "Penny Dreadful."
Latest on the scene is AMC's "The Terror," a series that so far has been able to vary its period setting, themes, and even tone thanks to being anthologized season to season. After the first season, which was based on author Dan Simmons' novel "The Terror" (hence the series' name), the second season went on to tell an original tale set in and around the Japanese internment camps in America during WWII.

AMC has ordered Season 3 of the supernatural anthology series “The Terror.”
The third installment of the series will be based on the novel “The Devil in Silver” by Victor Lavalle. AMC has ordered six episodes, with the series slated to debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2025.
Chris Cantwell, who previously worked on the AMC shows “Halt & Catch Fire” and “Lodge 49,” will write and executive produce the season alongside Lavalle. Karyn Kusama is attached to direct the first two episodes and executive produce the series. Additional executive producers are David Zucker of Scott Free, Alexandra Milchan of Emjag, Guymon Casady of Management 360, and Scott Lambert of Anjulia Productions. AMC Studios will produce.
“’The Terror’ anthology series has already delivered to fans two unforgettable seasons of storytelling that blend real-world events and characters with a terrifying and mysterious supernatural element,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks.

Although Deadpool 3 will be the only Marvel Cinematic Universe movie released in 2024, the new year will see multiple Marvel projects kicking off production, including Thunderbolts. While speaking with THR, Wyatt Russell said that shooting on Thunderbolts should get underway in March or April.
“I’m so lucky to get to work with the kind of talent that I’m going to work with when Thunderbolts starts up in March or April,” Russell said. “I don’t know [exactly] when they’re starting yet.” The actor plays John Walker, who was appointed as Captain America’s successor by the U.S. government in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As we know, he made some questionable choices and was stripped of his title, but the final episode found him recruited by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine to become U.S. Agent.

[This story contains spoilers from Monarch: Legacy of Monsters episode six, “Terrifying Miracles.”]
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters star Wyatt Russell has had several opportunities to work alongside his father Kurt over the years, but the younger Russell insisted on establishing himself on his own first.
On the Chris Black- and Matt Fraction-created Monarch, the father-and-son duo share the role of Lee Shaw, a U.S. Army colonel and onetime Monarch agent who’s been tracking the emergence of MonsterVerse Titans since the early 1950s. The two Russells put a great deal of thought into their portrayals in order to ensure that Kurt’s version of Lee in 2015 felt like a logical extension of Wyatt’s character from the ‘50s.
Ultimately, the 37-year-old Russell is glad he waited as long as he did to collaborate with his father.

Strong jaw. Flowing hair. Megawatt smile. Effortless charisma. It’s not very difficult to see the resemblance between Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt.

In the first episode of Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, viewers were introduced to Lee Shaw circa 1959, back when he was an Army lieutenant tasked with “keeping alive” researchers Dr. Keiko Mira and Bill Randa (played by Mari Yamamoto and Anders Holm) as they go Muto hunting in Kazakhstan.
In that timeline, Lee is played by Wyatt Russell of TV’s Lodge 49 and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters may owe its greatest debt not to Toho, nor even the previous entries in the Monster-Verse, such as Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island. No, the most important movie for the new show from Apple TV+ is Soldier. Yes, Soldier, the 1998 sci-flick directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.
Because in Soldier, Kurt Russell played the same character as his son Wyatt, as the latter portrays the 11-year-old version of the lifelong warrior Todd 3465. The duo repeat that feat in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters by playing Lee Shaw at two points in the man’s life. The elder Russell plays Shaw in the present, as part of the research group Monarch, dealing with the revelation of monsters in 2014’s Godzilla. Good Luck Charlie‘s titular rugrat revealed herself to be all grown up — because that is how aging works, after all — in a delightful surprise reunion with her TV dad.
Airing for four seasons from April 2010 to February 2014 (and a favorite of the Mitovich twins), Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie in large part revolved around Teddy (played by Bridgit Mendler), the second-oldest child in the Duncan clan. Worried that she will be at college and not around much when her toddler sister grows up, Teddy recorded video diaries for Charlie, ending each imparting of wisdom with [see title of TV series].

If you were raised on a healthy dose of "Lord of the Rings" and "Game of Thrones," you may wonder when exactly the fantasy genre sold out for comedy. Of course, those adaptations have the occasional gag, but when compared to the comedic stylings of "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves," they are very somber affairs altogether. So what happened to the serious side of wizards and warriors? Why couldn't we get a "Dungeons & Dragons" movie that took this stuff seriously?
But look closer at both the gameplay and the culture, and you'll see that "Dungeons & Dragons" has always been rooted in comedy. Every time we sit down to play, we filter our own consumption of popular culture through character decisions. So let's talk about why humor is an integral part of "Dungeons & Dragons" and why "Honor Among Thieves" does a great job of translating that to the screen.

AMC is no longer moving forward with a second season of “Soulmates,” TheWrap has learned.
The sci-fi anthology series, which was created by Will Bridges (“Black Mirror”) and Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”) and based on their short film “For Life,” was previously renewed for a second season in August 2020.
“We were immediately drawn to the unique premise of Soulmates as it explores love and relationships from several touchpoints in a way that naturally feeds the zeitgeist, prompting conversations around human connection, relationships and happiness,” Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks’ Entertainment Group and co-president of AMC Studios, said at the time of the renewal. “These are stories and themes that resonate and feel almost timely given today’s climate in which so many of us feel disconnected or are coping with shifting relationship dynamics. We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Will and Brett who never...

Disney announced the main cast of Thunderbolts at last year’s D23. The film will see David Harbour returning as Red Guardian, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
