Julia is tricked into being lured by the homeless children to their squalor shack in the woods and the children crown her the "Snow Queen" in an effort to grant them one wish which they wish to use to make their big brother's illness disappear. There is one particular Constable Jackson (Kristian Bruun) at the station house whose favourite time is the Christmas season and spending it with his large family of sisters and brothers. Inspector Brackenreid assigns the enthusiastic Constable Jackson to lead the Policeman's Christmas Choir unbeknownst that Constable Jackson's voice is worse than that of a screeching train wheel.
The lonely Constable George Crabtree was intending to head back to his hometown Newfoundland to spend Christmas with his Aunts until he receives their telegram that they have alternate Christmas plans and will be travelling themselves. George has also completed his second comic book (short story) which includes illustrations of a genius thief who invents gadgets that allow him to become a super human being who can appear as well as disappear in a flash. Poor George, even his first edition comic has not sold well, so the street vendor will not accept George's second edition comic and as such George is left holding the proverbial "bag" of unsold comics.
There are mysteries to solve, a choir in dire need of a new Choir Director, and Julia is baffled by the three (3) day puzzle that her husband Inspector Murdoch has assigned her to solve to find out what Christmas present is in store for her. If you have watched, or intend to watch this episode, can you figure out what the clues Murdoch has provided to Julia are intended to reveal?
I give this special extended Christmas feature a perfect 10 out of 10 IMDb rating.
