The orchestra has embarked on their Latin American tour. At the last minute, Hailey is forced to do double duty which places a damper of what she hoped would be her "party until you drop" trip. Their final stop is Mexico City, Rodrigo's old stomping grounds, which is an important stop in the orchestra administrators meeting with Juan Delgado regarding sponsorship, and for Rodrigo in performing for his oft-mentioned mentor, Maestro Ignacio Rivera. Before their Mexico City performance, things take a turn for a few when Warren is mugged and his expensive violin stolen in the process. If his violin is unable to be found, a suitable one will have to replace it. Rodrigo calls in his old friend, Manuel, who Rodrigo says can find anything that has been stolen in the city. What ensues is a combination of a gangster movie and the Keystone Cops, all with a Mexican flair. What happens is not all as it appears on the surface.
