- TriviaThis was the first commercial three strip Technicolor live action short subject ever filmed. Filming took place at the Chicago World's Fair during the last two weeks of October 1933. There is also included in the short a black and white segment filmed at the Chrysler test track at the Fair, this footage was tinted yellow for it's original release. The short was presented at local theaters beginning in April 1934 by the Chrysler Plymouth Corporation. A fully black and white version was also released.

Perhaps you should look for a copy not on YouTube.
According to IMDB, "World's Fair" was the first commercial Three Color Technicolor film. The Three-Color process was the first that brought true color to movies. Previous color processes utilized two colors....and the results were odd by today's standards--with colors that tended to look blue-green or orange-red.
Unfortunately, the copy of this film I found was on YouTube and it had some serious issues. There was a focusing problem during much of the film...where the right side would flicker in an out of focus for parts of the short. Additionally, the colors appear rather garish...perhaps due to a need for the film to be conserved and cleaned. Also, the black & white portion has some noticeable slowdown issues.
So is this worth watching? Yes. While the narration is a bit dull, historically speaking it's amazing to get to see the 1933-34 World's Fair in Chicago (called the Century of Progress Exposition). Sadly, it's less an overview of everything (which I would have preferred) but is mostly an ad for Chrysler automobiles. Well worth seeing despite it being mostly an ad and with a lousy print.
