The Shape of Things: The Murder and Mayhem of Halloween 6 (2013)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Another highly entertaining featurette from Anchor Bay and Shout Factory's HALLOWEEN box set. This one here features make-up artists John Carl Buechler and Brad Hardin discussing the various aspects of their roles in the production. Fans already know that there were two different versions of the film and it's always fascinating hearing how certain cast or crew members were effected by this. Both Buechler and Hardin discuss what they were originally hired for and how this changed over time. Buechler goes into some good detail about a meeting he had with the studio head and then the producer's reaction afterward. As one goes through the various featurettes on the HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS release it because so easy to see why the film turned out the way it did. George P. Wilbur, who played Myers in the film, is also on hand to discuss his time on the film and why he was replaced during it. Certainly a must-see for fans of the film.
