Featured review
Jam-packed, but doesn't lose sight of the characters and emotions behind the twists and action.
Sarah and S bring the Castor/Lyda original back from England, and make a dangerous play. Alison enters the final leg of the campaign. Helena is part of an unexpected reunion. Delphine stumbles on something she shouldn't have. Rachel wonders where she is.
As you can see, this episode was absolutely PACKED. Yet, it didn't feel rushed. It was very well paced. The first three quarters of the episode were very intense, packed with action and twists. At first, I didn't buy the big twist. It seemed contrived, like there was no setup for it. But, as the episode chugged along, they really sold me on it.
Then, they did something very smart; they slowed down. If they had continued barrelling along at the pace they were, it would have been overwhelming. Instead, they took the last ten minutes to give emotional closure; happy (and sad) endings. And there were some sad endings. One in particular was painful. On the whole, a great way to end the season.
