First three episodes kinda got me excited. The show seems to lack some of the charm of the source material which is an amazing detective procedural mixed with superhero elements (like a Law & order in a world where avengers exist crossover).
minor SPOILERS Ahead:
This particular episode as a whole seems like a very bad slasher / B-movie. The main villain escapes and the human cops instead of calling for help some superpowered people decide to handle the situation themselves. Random characters are picked off one by one in very cliché ways while discussing completely irrelevant stuff in dark hallways. The blood too much and sort of unrealistic (I am talking mortal Kombat II kind of fake). Somebody learned realflow (one of the popular fluid simulation programs) and wanted to show off. How is he supposed to eat them like that its not actually explained and not shown... maybe to make it more frightening.
There is some real acting especially from the actors portraying Johhny Royalle and Wolfe and also there is an attempt to explain the past connecting those characters but still its not satisfying.
I don't mind that the 've changed the story from the graphic novels but this is a mess and very boring. Its a misstep in a series of increasingly fun episodes. Lets hope that it gets better. If not, people remember that you can always read the excellent comics instead! and also the production shows its low budget.
