I watched this film at the Arctic Science Summit Week 2023 (though I had to leave slightly early - sorry!). Kaisa's stories get under your skin, as does the film as a whole. I was very glad that I saw it. The film interweaves personal narratives and recollection with historical perspective and ancient stories passed down through the Skolt culture (which, like 'fairytales', are not always 'nice'!). In so doing, the film tells the story of the impact of 20th century events on the Skolt people, moving between different characters and types of storytelling, including different media (film and animation). I can very much recommend the film. Thank-you!
