Jamie Dornan revealed a truly unexpected way that he accidentally ruined a day of filming during a recent interview.
While on The Graham Norton Show, the 41-year-old Fifty Shades of Grey actor shared that he had to call off the final day of filming his 2012 TV series New Worlds after kissing a horse on the lips.
Read more about Jamie Dornan’s kiss and what happened after…
What happened? If you were unaware, Jamie is very allergic to horses.
“I like them as a species,” he explained, adding, “I just can’t get close.”
In fact, his allergies are so extreme that he needed multiple EpiPens while filming his first movie Marie Antoinette. There were even concerns that they wouldn’t be able to insure him for the movie.
Years after the trouble on Marie Antoinette, Jamie filmed with a horse again for New Worlds. All went according to plan,...

If "Star Trek" is about going boldly where no one has gone before, well, this latest episode of "Strange New Worlds" truly went for it. Luckily, it's difficult to imagine any other franchise feeling better equipped to suddenly drop a musical episode the likes of "Subspace Rhapsody" into the mix. (Feel free to check out /Film's review by Witney Seibold here.) But the thing about big swings is that they're always going to hit all the right notes for some fans (see what I did there?) while striking the wrong tone for others, leaving the creative team in the unenviable spot of having to figure out how far might be too far.
One such moment rears its cranial-ridged forehead in the grand finale of the episode, when the plot requires that as many people as possible break out into song in order to fix the subspace rift that threatens to overwhelm the entire galaxy.

This was the year that San Diego Comic-Con was supposed to collapse. After all, with Hollywood studios pulling out and stars not able to promote their work, all due to the double whammy of the actors and writers strikes, why would people even bother to attend?
Well, about 150,000 attendees did, indeed, show up. There were no mass hotel cancellations nor mass refunds issued for badges, which were purchased months in advance. And an interesting thing happened on the way to the Comic-Con apocalypse. There was a renewed focus on comics and other graphic arts, even as Hollywood showed up in a diminished capacity.
“This year, more than ever, it felt like the real focus was the talent behind the origins of a lot of their entertainment,” says Jimmy Palmiotti, a writer-artist who has worked for Marvel and DC and created the comic Painkiller Jane, which was adapted into a SyFy series in 2007.

In 1995, we screamed, “Hack the planet!” Today, my mom can watch any movie on her phone. When we walk around with computers in our pockets, fantasies about jacking into cyberspace and accessing vast amounts of information seem quaint, if not outright laughable. But it’s that very mundane nature that makes cyberpunk such an important genre, even in 2023.
The cyberpunk genre began in literature, first in stories published in the UK magazine New Worlds and later in novels from writers such as William Gibson (Neuromancer), J.G. Ballard (High Rise), and Philip K. Dick. These writers took a darker look at the technology of the future, showing how new inventions did nothing to change inequality and corruption, only reinforcing the worst parts of humanity.
For most people, cinematic cyberpunk is synonymous with 1982’s Blade Runner, an adaption of the Dick book Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" feels like a miracle. It's a "Star Trek" series in the age of streaming that not only appeals to fans of the franchise, but has caused a whole new generation of fans to fall in love with the adventures of the USS Enterprise. The series is both a delightful throwback and something new, mixing the things that made "The Original Series" shine with bigger budgets, sharper special effects, and a perfectly picked cast. The first season of "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" is potentially the best first season of any series in the franchise, with the highest score of them all on Rotten Tomatoes, and it already has a rabid fanbase, myself included. It almost seems like magic, bringing characters from the 1960s television series back to life with new actors and new stories set before the show that started it all, but it turns...

Following up his love-it-or-hate-it Climax, director Gaspar Noé secretly shot a new film this past spring and it’s among the additions to the Cannes Film Festival lineup, which also includes new work by Ari Folman, a Bill Murray concert film, Noémie Merlant’s directorial debut, and more.
As for the Enter the Void director’s latest, he shot Vortex over twenty days between mid-March and April 2021, with a cast including Dario Argento, Françoise Lebrun, and Alex Lutz, as well as a budget of 3.3 million euros, more than his last two features. Check out a roughly-translated synopsis below via his Le Temps de Trout Tout:
Gaspar Noé, son of the Argentinian painter Luis Felipe Noé, finished his film at the last minute because he shot it quickly and late. A quasi-documentary film about the last days of a loving old couple suffering from senility, played by Françoise Lebrun and Dario Argento.

Mild spoilers for Picard Season 1 ahead.
More than any of the new Star Trek series, Picard is the one that is the most stuffed with obvious Trekkie nostalgia. Yes, when Strange New Worlds starts showing some footage, we might feel differently, but because Picard is a sequel to the ‘90s-era of Trek, for this present moment, it connects with various generations of Trekkies at the same time.
On “First Contact Day,” Paramount+ dropped a minimalist, spare teaser-trailer, similar to the vineyard teaser for Picard Season 1. But this time, as we swept through Picard’s study in Château Picard, the trailer was basically nothing but Easter eggs. Here’s a full breakdown of what we caught and what it all might mean.
Château Picard is Not a hologram
Notably, the first shot of the trailer is of the outside of Château Picard, which seems to imply what we’re looking at...

In a move straight out of the Snyder Cut playbook, fans of Robert Rodriguez’s “Alita: Battle Angel” raised enough money prior to the 92nd Academy Awards to fly a banner over the Oscars red carpet urging Disney to move forward with an “Alita” sequel. The banner included the social media hashtags #AlitaSequel and #AlitaArmy. The banner was purchased by The Alita Army group, which crowdfunded $1,810 in January to be able to carry out the Oscars stunt. The group hit their goal on January 29 and donated all extra proceeds to Open Bionics, a company that develops affordable prosthetic limbs for amputees. The company has direct ties to “Alita.”
“When thinking of a good cause to work for, we remembered the partnership that the ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ movie design team had made with Open Bionics,” the group wrote in a blog post. “Together, they designed an affordable ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ themed cover for prosthetic arms.

The audience at Nashville’s famed Grand Ole Opry got one awesome surprise on the evening of September 25 when Bill Murray made an unannounced appearance to sing alongside country and folk music legend John Prine and The Steeldrivers. The appearance marked Murray’s Grand Ole Opry debut. The group sang Prine’s 1971 song “Paradise,” and Murray’s beaming smile as he belts out the chorus is priceless.
Murray has been a longtime fan of The Steeldrivers, the Nashville bluegrass band featuring fiddler Tammy Rogers, bassist Mike Fleming, guitarist Kelvin Damrell, mandolinist Brent Truitt, and banjoist Richard Bailey. The band is well known for being the launch pad for country music superstar Chris Stapleton. M. Night Shyamalan‘s Glass, the much-anticipated sequel to both 2002’s Unbreakable and 2017’s Split, is currently filming in Philadelphia. Following on from Bruce Willis’ shock cameo as David Dunn in the aforementioned pic, Glass will feature the super-strong hero facing James McAvoy’s “The Horde,” with Samuel L. Jackson also returning as Dunn’s old nemesis Elijah “Mr. Glass” Price.
And with Price coming back for more, so is one key location from the original movie. Unbreakable fans will remember that a depressed Mr. Glass went into a comic book store at one point where he found an issue of the fictional Sentryman comic. This inspires him to get back to work in convincing David that he’s a hero.
While talking to Star News Philly, Bill Fink – who owns Ontario St. Comics, the store seen in the film – revealed that Glass will also make use of his shop.

With the big screen version of “Star Trek” seemingly on hold (they announced “Star Trek 4” last summer, but there has been no word since), fans of the series have something to look forward to with “Star Trek: Discovery.” It’s the return of the franchise to the small screen, and hopes are high that the series will get back the roots of what made the property so beloved in the first place.

Halfway through the first five-year mission, Captain James T. Kirk has grown complacent, even bored. The thrill of discovery and adventure seems to have worn thin and he’s restless, ready for a change. Still in his thirties, young by 23rd century standards, he seems to be having a midlife crisis ahead of schedule. At much the same time, Spock yearns to join the remaining Vulcans in order to perpetuate the species, concluding this is his destiny.

NBC has decided to halt production on their new show “Mail Order Family” two days after it was announced. The decision came after the concept received backlash, with critics complaining that it was perpetuating stereotypes of Filipino women. A change.org petition was also created, stating that “exploitation and violence against Filipino women is not entertainment.”
“We purchased the pitch with the understanding that it would tell the creator’s real-life experience of being raised by a strong Filipina stepmother after the loss of her own mother,” an NBC spokesman said in a statement. “The writer and producers have taken the sensitivity to the initial concept to heart and have chosen not to move forward with the project at this time.”

Despite being generally well received by critics and fans alike, Star Trek Beyond is in danger of being viewed as a box office flop. The sci-fi adventure flick hasn’t finished its theatrical run just yet (it opened in China on September 1), but analysts reckon it’s going to have to rake in $350 million to recoup the budget and promotional costs, and since it currently sits at around $244.5 million, that’s going to be tough.
Of course, there’s always a decent chance it’ll find a bigger audience on home-media. Paramount has announced that Star Trek Beyond will be released to Digital HD on October 4, followed by a Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and 4K Ultra HD release on November 1st. Below you’ll find the full list of extra features, as well as the cover art:

Star Trek: Beyond is hitting Blu-Ray. We’ve got the details on the release.
So okay even I was a skeptic on Star Trek: Beyond but I’ve big enough to admit that I had a lot of fun watching the movie. I do love that these stories are still being told and loved how it’s been reintroduced for this new era. Well the home release is just around the corner and it’s got a lot packaged with it.
So first off in case we forgot this is the third movie in this new franchise telling and if you missed out there will be a three pack of all of the films. Now the Blu-Ray pack is going to have over an hour of extra content including.
o Deleted Scenes - Go Beyond the final cut of the movie with scenes you didn't see in theaters.

Last week, “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon invited Gop candidate Donald Trump onto his show, provoking widespread criticism online that Fallon normalized or softened Trump’s bigotry by treating him like any other guest. Now, other late-night hosts are taking on Fallon as well as NBC’s historically close relationship with Trump over the years. “Full Frontal” host Samantha Bee spent the first part of her show last night discussing Trump’s rise in the polls, America’s indifference to his racist and sexist sentiments, and then finally took on NBC. At Comic Con yesterday the first look at Star Trek Discovery, Bryan Fuller's new Trek TV show debuting in January 2017, made its appearance. If you haven't seen it yet, here's the footage showing a brief look at the new starship, the USS Discovery, emerging from a tunneled-out base inside an asteroid:
As should be suspected, right after the footage hit the internet, opinions started flying. Does it look too different from what we've seen of past Star Trek ships? Why is it a gold/bronze color instead of steel grey? If the registration of the Discovery ship is earlier (Ncc-1031) than the Federation's most well-known starship (the Enterprise, Ncc-1701), does that mean the Star Trek Discovery TV show will be a prequel to the original Star Trek series?
And as typical, hard answers weren't available. It's a first look, a teaser. And it falls upon fandom to begin speculating...
