Quotes

  • Mali : You can't beat them. Your other guys in there, they are dead. We'll be dead too if we hang around here.

  • Mali : Our subjects, human subjects were all mercenaries employed by Saisei that were killed in combat. We didn't see the harm, they were already dead.

Dillon : MALI, tell me what went wrong.

  • Mali : You haven't seen the result of this. Is uncontrollable death. It's not safe in anyones hands.

  • Mali : Does it make sense to you? To kill innocent people, so you can bring others back from the dead?

  • Mali : The serum wasn't about bringing them back to life... resurrecting flesh... control...

    Dillon : What? I don't understand what you're saying.

Mali : Our division was commissioned to research and develop a culture serum that would regenerate in the bloodstream of a dead person... effectively, instant repair of irreparably damaged cells and in fact bringing them back to life? It's a way to create a sort of 'super soldier' I guess...

Dillon : Bringing back the dead? No shit!

Mali : Yes... but that's not what this is. There is no bloodwork. There are no vitals. It failed, it didn't bring these mercenaries back to life... The serum was a flesh activator, they're walking dead.

    Eddie : Zombies!

Mali : Because they were mercenaries killed in combat, muscle memory has retained their highly trained skills. Not being human, they are clearly even more powerful.

Dillon : Which is why they evade our bullets, these freaks move like ninjas.

Mali : That's just it... They don't actually know what they want. The very nature of a zombie is a body of flesh but the mind controlled independently.

Eddie : What exactly do you mean controlled independently. Is that some kind of voodoo shit?

    Mali : Sort of... yes.

Dillon : Someone is controlling these zombies?

    Mali : It's my guess.
