“We’re not what we were.” “There is no good death.” “You want to see what’s going to happen to the ones you love.” Writer/director Josh Margolin squeezes surprisingly funny freshness from the musty themes of aging, death, and lost autonomy in his poignantly written “Thelma,” a seriocomic “Mission Impossible” remix that casts June Squibb as the titular action hero in a slow-moving but still quietly epic revenge flick about elder fraud.

A24 are delivering a special gift to Max this December, as Leo Reich’s acclaimed stand-up show Literally Who Cares?! hits the streamer. The comedian has already won over the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Off-Broadway with runs of the show, but this performance was taped at EartH in London. Consider checking it out – if A24 got involved in the project, you know you’ll definitely see something weird and special.
But if you’re looking for something more serious, add the new three-part documentary series Murder In Boston: Roots, Rampage & Reckoning to your watch list this month. It’s not quite high-stakes poker and we certainly can’t envisage Christopher Nolan devising a scene where 007 battles it out with a super villain over a game of bingo, but that isn’t to say that the game isn’t suited to the silver screen – emphasis on the silver…

It was a Step Brothers reunion over the weekend, as Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly joined Snoop Dogg on stage to sing the bonafide classic “Boats ‘n Hoes”, which was robbed of an Oscar nomination we tell ya!
To celebrate Snoop Dogg’s 52nd birthday at the Best Night of Your Life 2 benefit show, Ferrell and Reilly got on stage at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater in outfits similar to those they wore in the “Boats ‘n Hoes” video, prompting a major audience reaction, as can be seen in a video posted on TMZ. 52 isn’t normally a big-bash sort of birthday, but it’s Snoop Dogg, so every day is an occasion to party. And if you can bring back the team of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly – who haven’t appeared in a movie together since 2018’s Holmes & Watson – all the better. Snoop Dogg even showed off his cake,...

The Pink Ladies of “Grease,” the most colorful Rydell High students, are back on April 6 on Paramount+. However, this won’t be the same collection of young women from the original film — or even its cult classic sequel. This round, we see how the popular clique got its start. The girls now have a show of their own: “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” a salute to 1950s teens who refuse to conform to conventional standards. The new musical series shows us Rydell High before Sandy and Danny start strutting down the halls. The show stars Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, and Tricia Fukuhara.
Watch the “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” trailer:
Paramount+ is also producing an original series “Fatal Attraction,” based on the 1980s hit thriller. The TV version refocuses the lens, exploring a modern approach to women, infidelity, personality disorders, and coercive control. It’s...

Depending on your definition of “vulgar,” “My Year of Dicks” could be the first film with that type of word in its title to be nominated for an Oscar. (Up for debate: “Sausage Party” and “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.”) It’s a badge of honor, but Sara Gunnarsdóttir, the Icelandic filmmaker who directed the animated short about a teenage girl’s quest to lose her virginity in 1990, doesn’t understand why it’s such a big deal.
“This is such a weird word for me,” Gunnarsdóttir said during a recent interview with TheWrap. “I have the same feelings about the word ‘s—‘ because I’m like, it’s poop. We can say ‘poop.’ Why can’t we say ‘s—‘? ‘Dicks’ — like, why is this a bad word? There’s Dick’s Sporting Goods. I don’t get it.”

Like the movies, playing bingo is an enjoyable pastime for many and a trip to the bingo hall is a great way to have fun and catch up with friends. Playing bingo online is also a popular choice for at-home entertainment on sites like wink bingo.
The game is a part of British culture and has been around for decades. Bingo isn’t just a scene in bingo halls but also a popular aspect in movies, with many films featuring bingo scenes to add excitement and suspense to the plot.
Here are just some of the most memorable bingo scenes that have features in well-known movies:

More than 20 years ago, MTV debuted a little show late at night featuring a collection of gnarly dudes doing stupid stunts and pranking one another. That series, "Jackass," went on to be a global phenomenon, so far spawning four theatrically released films, the spin-off films of "Bad Grandpa," a handful of straight-to-video sequels, several spin-off shows including "Wildboyz," "Viva la Bam," and "Homewrecker," and more. The antics of a group of skateboarders and professional knuckleheads became an indelible part of pop culture. The road has been hard, and it has been long, but the cast members of "Jackass" have plenty of...

Ready to get kicked in the face by an annoyed donkey?
This is the question that many “Jackass” stars have faced over the years, first on the beloved MTV prank show and then in the series of increasingly ridiculous (and weirdly endearing) movies. The latest “Jackass” endeavor, “Jackass Forever,” is now upon us, full of oversized contraptions, precarious situations, and serious self-injury that makes you say “ouch” aloud even if you’re in a crowded cinema. The fourth theatrical film in the franchise is once again directed by “Jackass” co-creator Jeff Tremaine, just so you know that the quality hasn’t been diluted at all.
But where can you watch Johnny Knoxville and the boys give themselves concussions? Read below to find out!

Jackass, which began its life as a men-behaving-dumbly series on MTV back in 2000 has gone on to spawn four feature films (five if you include the 2013 spin-off Bad Grandpa). The movies—a collection of masochistic pranks, self-inflicted humiliations, and male camaraderie—have always been solid performers at the box office, especially in light of their modest budgets. Jackass Forever will be no exception. The film, which cost a bargain-basement $10 million to produce (and watching it you may wonder where even that much money went), is already solidly in the black after its opening weekend thanks to pandemic-weary audiences in need of a stupid laugh (Paramount had projected that it would open in the mid-teens). The R-rated comedy’s $23.5 million opening weekend came from 3,604 theaters, where it earned a $6,250 per-screen average. It’s not particularly shocking that the franchise’s fanbase ate it up with a spoon and gave it a ‘B+’ grade from CinemaScore,...

Anyone watching “Jackass Forever,” the fourth entry in a film franchise filled with painful stunts and pranks led by self-flagellating ringleader Johnny Knoxville, would assume that nothing is off the table. On the verge of turning 50, Knoxville hurled himself into a bullring and got knocked out by the animal, which led him to suffer a brain hemorrhage and broken ribs. In another scene, he steps on an oversized treadmill in full marching-band regalia, only to end up slammed into an adjacent building as blood dripped down his face. That time, it was cohort Steve-o who wound up unconscious. Their genitalia took a lot of hits, too, including the latest instance of their infamous “cup test.”
This is all a matter of public record, the centerpiece of the newest chapter in a pileup of gimmicks that stretch back 20 years. But Knoxville hesitates to specify the line he couldn’t cross on his most Paramount-funded excursion.

After a sleepy January mostly dominated by Spider-Man: No Way Home taking victory laps after its explosive December opening, February looks to be considerably more eventful. The star-powered slate includes a franchise follow-up (Death on the Nile) and a potential franchise starter (Uncharted) mixed in with a musical rom-com (Marry Me) and a comedy (Dog) to round things out, not to mention a potential boost to the specialty market once the Oscar nominations come out. The month should get off to a solid start this weekend with the latest Roland Emmerich disaster epic Moonfall and the return of the Jackass gang in Jackass Forever.
It may be a close match, but the weekend will likely go to Jackass Forever. Paramount is releasing the film on 3,600 screens and is expecting a gross in the mid-teens for the series’ fourth film (fifth when you count the associated Bad Grandpa). That would make...

It’s no longer a shock, or even much of a surprise, to see full-frontal male nudity in a reckless youth comedy. But in “Jackass Forever,” it’s not just that there’s a whole lotta full frontal; by the end of the film, the nutsacks of half the cast members have begun to feel like family. The movie opens with a “Godzilla” parody, in which the residents of New York run screaming from the sight of a hulking dino reptile. Except that the shots of the giant beast were created on a miniature mock-up of Manhattan, and the green lizard king — as we’re shown in a setup shot — is actually the penis and scrotum of Chris Pontius, bedecked with a fake head and platelets. When people talk about the glory of experiencing movies on the big screen, I’m not sure if having this thing in your face...

After two weekends without any major-studio wide releases amid Omicron fears, Paramount and Lionsgate will try to lure moviegoers back with Jackass Forever and Centropolis Entertainment’s Moonfall, respectively
Exhibition hopefully will see more traffic after the Northeast experienced cabin fever from winter storm Kenan last weekend. Rolling winter-into-spring breaks don’t go into effect until February 18, per Comscore’s school calendar; that’s when 22% of K-12 schools are off and 8% of colleges. This Friday, it’s just 1% K-12 off and 2% colleges. Having Ontario movie theaters in Canada reopened with concessions doesn’t hurt.
Right now it’s looking like mid-teen millions for the Jeff Tremaine-directed Jackass Forever at No. 1 in 3,590 theaters. The movie is tracking with males under 25, but younger females are showing some decent interest as well.
The reality-stunt franchise, first born on MTV nearly 22 years ago, has spawned three movies and a “Presents” comedy production, Bad Grandpa.

February is the shortest month of the year but that doesn’t mean it has to be any less filled with enticing film and TV options than any other month. That’s certainly true of this February, which begins and ends with a pair of ripped-from-the-headlines miniseries, beginning with the inside story of an infamous sex tape and ending with a boardroom drama from the ride share world.

Like Mike Myers, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, or really any horror hunk rising up back from the dead, Johnny Knoxville isn't quite ready to let the "Jackass" franchise die. The MTV show turned film series that also birthed a million other MTV shows, will break its 12-year hiatus when the latest movie in the franchise debuts in February 2022. Although the title "Jackass Forever" paradoxically sounds like a goodbye, Knoxville has no interest in closing that door. When he says "Jackass Forever," he sure as hell means it.

Hulu has ordered a comedy pilot from Steve Levitan and John Enbom with Keegan-Michael Key and Johnny Knoxville attached to star, Variety has learned.
In the pilot, titled “Reboot,” Hulu decides to reboot an early 2000’s family sitcom. Its dysfunctional cast is forced back together and now must deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.
Levitan is the creator, executive producer, and showrunner and also wrote the pilot story. Levitan and Enbom wrote the pilot teleplay. Enbom will serve as writer and executive producer on the series. Danielle Stokdyk will also executive produce. 20th Television, where Levitan is currently under an overall deal, will serve as the studio.
“Reboot” is the first announced project for Levitan since the ending of “Modern Family” in April 2020 after eleven seasons and 250 episodes. Levitan co-created the hit ABC single-cam sitcom, which won 22 Emmy Awards throughout its run, including five wins for best comedy series.

The “Jackass Forever” trailer dropped Tuesday and the stunts — which include 49-year-old Johnny Knoxville getting shot out of a giant canon — have made us nostalgic for the good ol’ days.
“When is the last time you got together with old friends to laugh your asses off?” the trailer teases, while promising the same “Jackass” mayhem, just with a silver-haired Knoxville this time. Bullfights, attacking snakes, exploding furniture and tongue electrocution are just a few of the stunts that the “Jackass” crew has up their sleeve, not to mention Machine Gun Kelly getting booted into a pool after in a bicycle slap stunt.
While the “Jackass” pranksters have been ever present in the public eye — even pulling off their own stunts during this year’s Shark Week — “Jackass Forever” marks the franchise’s first film in over 10 years, following “Jackass 3D” in 2010. When Johnny Knoxville and his “Jackass” gang return to the big screen this fall in “Jackass 4,” it will mark over a decade since the release of the group’s latest film outing. That would be “Jackass 3D,” which opened in October 2010 and became a comedy blockbuster with $171 million at the worldwide box office. Knoxville spent the 10 years in between installments resistant to making a fourth “Jackass” movie but coming up with stunt ideas for another sequel anyway.
As reported in a new GQ cover story on Knoxville: “Ever since 2010’s ‘Jackass 3D’ wrapped, Knoxville had been quietly turning ideas over in his head, jotting down brief descriptions of stunt concepts and emailing himself the notes with ‘Jackass 4 idea’ in the subject line. Finally he felt himself getting the itch and asked his assistant to compile those ideas into a document.”
“It was thick,” Knoxville told GQ about the “Jackass 4” stunt ideas book.

Paramount is set to release “Jackass 4” in theaters this fall, and it’s going to be batshit crazy if a new video (via Uproxx) from cast member Steve-o is any indication of what’s to come. The “Jackass” veteran revealed: “I might have actually talked a doctor into dressing up as a clown so that he could put a four inch needle into my spine and inject me with a drug that would paralyze me from the waist down while I was sprinting and before all kinds of terrible shit happened to me.” Footage of the injection is shown in the video.
Whether or not Steve-o getting paralyzed makes it into the actual theatrical cut of “Jackass 4” remains to be seen, but it’s clearly one of the wildest decisions the stunt comedian has ever made. Steve-o also informed fans that he was in the early stages of...

If you can't go on a road trip yourself right now, then the next best thing you can do is watch Netflix's new hidden-camera comedy flick, Bad Trip. Starring Eric André, Lil Rel Howery, and Tiffany Haddish, Bad Trip follows two friends on a prank-filled road trip to New York, and though it's undeniably hilarious, it's unclear how much of the movie is scripted and how much is actually real. But just like Borat, Bad Grandpa, and other unscripted comedy prank films, the pranks and the reactions are all very real - so real, in fact, that Howery feared for his life at one point and almost quit the movie.
During an interview with USA Today, André discussed that scene where Chris and Bud pretend they're bound together by a Chinese finger trap - but of course, it's not their fingers that are stuck. The two men go to...

Bad Trip is a new comedy classic from the minds of Eric Andre and Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine. The story follows Chris (Andre) and Bud (Lil Rey Howery) as they travel from Florida to New York to reunite Chris with the love of his life Maria (Michaela Conlin). Tiffany Haddish rounds out the cast as Trina, Chris’ sister, whose car is stolen for the trip. The movie co-stars a number of unwitting bystanders, called “marks” in the prank world, who find themselves appearing in scenes that seem perfectly natural until they become completely absurd. A mark’s response to the chaos created by the film crew is often kind and humane, with a few angry people sprinkled throughout. It’s their gentle reactions that make the movie special. Gone are the stand-alone prank vignettes of Jackass and The Eric Andre Show. Here the jokes land exceptionally well because the actors...

Comedian Eric Andre and director Kitao Sakurai discuss the intricacies and mayhem that went into their new prank movie, Bad Trip, on the latest episode of Rolling Stone’s The Breakdown.

Eric Andre is known for his extreme physical comedy, but one prank nearly got him killed during the making of “Bad Trip.” The prank comedy, currently the most-watched movie on Netflix, stars Andre and fellow comedian Lil Rel Howery as friends who set out on a road trip to New York City. The production set up prank set pieces in the vein of “Jackass” and “Bad Grandpa” to capture the live reactions of real people. One prank in which Andre and Howery pretend to have their penises stuck together and go into an Atlanta barber shop looking for scissors to separate them resulted in “the barber searching for a weapon and brandishing a knife, menacingly chasing the fleeing duo” (via USA Today).
“Part of my brain was like, ‘Wow, I could die right now,'” Andre told USA Today. “Another part of my brain goes, ‘This is going to be great footage.

It makes a certain kind of sense that Bad Trip, Eric André’s entry into the Gonzo Comedy Hall of Fame (see: Jackass, Borat, Bad Grandpa), starts in Florida. Not that the other 49 states of this fine U.S. of A. don’t have their share of goofballs, chowderheads, numbskulls, fuck-ups and jag-offs; it’s just that this particular Southeastern one has a reputation for American eccentricity that results in eyes bugging out, jaws dropping and shit going very wrong. Those “Florida Man” headlines are well-earned.

More films with Eddie Izzard and Judi Dench is something that the world needs. They starred together in Stephen Frears’ Victoria & Abdul in 2017 and now they reunite in the Andy Goddard-directed Six Minutes To Midnight which will be released by IFC Films in theaters and on demand starting today.
Written by Izzard, Goddard and Celyn Jones, Six Minutes To Midnight is based on true events from 1939. The film follows teacher Thomas Miller (Izzard) who has taken a last-minute and controversial role teaching English to the daughters of high-ranking Nazis at the Augusta-Victoria College, Bexhill-on-Sea – a finishing school on the south coast of England.
Under the watchful eye of their headmistress Miss Rocholl (Dench), and her devout assistant Ilse Keller (Carla Juri), the girls practice their English and learn how to represent the ideal of German womanhood.

In the vein of films like Jackass and Bad Grandpa, the new (ahem) comedy Bad Trip, follows best friends Chris (Eric André) and Bud (Lil Rel Howery) as they travel haplessly from Florida to New York in a misguided quest to reunite Eric with Maria (Michaela Conlin), the supposed love of his life. Along the way, of course, the pair are shoe-horned into one awkward misadventure after another while Bud’s prison-escapee sister (Tiffany Haddish) relentlessly pursues them after she learns they have stolen her prized Pepto Bismol pink car for their odyssey.

It only takes Eric André a couple of minutes to get naked in “Bad Trip,” and another half hour before he’s sodomized by a gorilla, which should give you a sense of how quickly this goofy hidden camera romp careens from zero to crazy and just keeps going. In director Kitao Sakurai’s quasi-scripted comedy, the comedian plays a klutzy reprobate who drives from Miami to New York in search of his high school crush, but the flimsy plot is little more than an excuse for André to screw with people up and down the Eastern Seaboard.
Anyone familiar with André’s aggressive ability to push people into cringe-inducing circumstances will find plenty of that anarchic spirit on display here, usually outpacing the story around it. But it’s also given proper context: André’s devious style and wit is matched by a bumbling turn by Lil Rel Howery as his best pal,...

With Oscar voting officially underway, members of the Academy are hunkering down and catching up on all the films from this year of extended eligibility. Inarguably the hardest awards season to read in modern history, there are dozens of interpretations of how the season will shake out and where AMPAS voters’ minds are within the race.
I believe there’s an “X” factor to this awards season that could potentially affect what pundits perceive the nominations could look like. In addition, there’s also a disagreement on what this “X” factor could be. Some argue: just look at the guilds, that’s the only Oscar voter overlap. Others say Academy voters are disconnected from the season, and anything is possible. The truth is, it’s somewhere in the middle — but my theory is that international voters can be the tilt for various films and performances.

Over a decade after their last cinematic outing and seven years following spinoff Bad Grandpa, the band is finally back together and shooting on Jackass 4 is underway. The fifth installment in the incredibly popular series was originally set to release in March of this year before production was halted indefinitely due to the Coronavirus pandemic, with Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the gang now set to return to our screens in September 2021.
Jackass may have peaked in popularity 20 years ago, but the franchise is one of the most profitable properties at Paramount’s disposal, having raked in close to half a billion dollars at the box office on combined budgetary costs of just over $50 million. The films have also been the subject of a surprising amount of critical acclaim, with the very first installment the only one that doesn’t hold a Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Despite the brand peaking in popularity close to two decades ago, Johnny Knoxville and the gang will be back on our screens next year when Jackass 4 hits theaters. Coming over ten years after their last outing in the 3D third movie, the fourth installment was originally set to be released in March before being delayed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, then eventually getting shifted all the way to September 2021.

Beastie Boys Story, released by AppleTV+ in April and nominated for five Emmys, tells the story of the band that was formed in 1978 by Adam Yauch, Mike Diamond and Adam Horovitz.
The film, directed by long-time collaborator Spike Jonze, was not your usual rock doc. It was told via a live show put on by Diamond and Horovitz (Yauch passed away in 2012) following the release of their memoir Beastie Boys Book.
Back in April, the film’s press tour was dominated by Diamond and Horovitz joking through interviews with a bit of context from Jonze, who first worked with the band in 1993 on their Time For Livin’ video.
But one of the people instrumental in the film who was not particularly visible was Jonze’s creative producing partner Amanda Adelson, who helped write the film in addition to producing it.

Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal wants to fight Johnny Knoxville. The NBA veteran expressed interest in hopping into the ring together with the famous stunt performer while appearing on a podcast run by Knoxville’s colleague, Steve-o, called Steve-o’s Wild Ride! When Steve-o took a liking to the idea, the boxer mentioned it would make an interesting segment for the upcoming Jackass 4.
“I want to box Johnny Knoxville, because I remember when he boxed Butterbean,” Shaq told Steve-o, referring to a scene in the original Jackass film where Knoxville challenged professional boxer Eric Esch to a fight inside a department store, and got K.O.’d almost immediately.
Apparently, the former NBA star had expressed interest in fighting Knoxville before, but said that, for some reason or other, the daredevil had never taken him up on the offer. Intrigued by the thought of seeing his friend get his lights punched out a second time,...
