The second game of the doubleheader played on Disco Demolition Night was forfeited by the White Sox to the Detroit Tigers.
Nancy Faust, the legendary White Sox organist from 1970 to 2010 and the first female organist in major league baseball, is interviewed and appears in archival footage. Among her contributions to baseball, she was the first to play individual walk-up music for each ballplayer and to play "Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye" when an opposing pitcher was knocked out of a game. Her rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th-inning stretch inspired Harry Caray to sing the song at every White Sox and Cubs game when he was broadcasting.
In a 2023 interview with Variety, Morgan Neville spoke about how he first became aware of Mike Veeck: "Eighteen years ago, I was driving around the south shooting a film, and I heard an interview on the radio with this character talking about his minor league baseball teams. He was so incredibly entertaining that I pulled my car over and waited for (the interview) to finish and wrote down this character's name, Mike Veeck. I sent him an email and just said, 'Hey. I don't know what it is, but I would love to meet you and maybe someday we could do something.' We ended up meeting up in New York. Then I sent him some of my documentaries, and we stayed in touch over the years. We didn't even talk about making a documentary then. It was just a mutual admiration society. But the thing I've responded to, which has not changed, is that Mike is just one of the all-time great characters in all the best ways."
