Humphrey and Martha prepare to enjoy a relaxing Christmas, but the village is threatened to fall into disarray after a series of burglaries, bizarrely though, the burglar is leaving items. Kelby arrests a boy calling himself Rishi Sunak, for pinching a sausage roll.
What can you say about this, a lovely, seasonal continuation to the surprisingly good first series. This seasonal special was truly cute and uplifting. The perfect way to begin The Christmas celebrations.
It was a decent enough story, but hidden underneath it, was the true message of Christmas, it served to show exactly what is important this time of year.
Maybe a little overly sentimental, and Humphrey was again perhaps just a little too clumsy, in an almost Carry on like fashion, but then it is Christmas.
James Fleet turned in quite a good performance as Ernest I thought, he's a fine actor. Sheila Reid as always, great comedy delivery.
Sweet and fun.
7/10.
