The cast never ate the food that was shown at the dinner scenes. Instead, they all ate pizza and drank beer after filming.
The "state your case" segment of each episode, where the contestants describe in monologue how they believe the murder was committed, exists solely for dramatic effect. It is not the basis for elimination from the game. Elimination is instead handled by an unaired written test, not terribly unlike that of fellow reality game show The Mole (2001), except that it calls for short answers rather than a multiple choice selection. The test also does not ask the contestants to name the killer; this too exists only for dramatic effect.
The scene where everyone sees Sheri "dead" for the first time has to be shot twice, because the first time Lindsey and Melina ran out of the house.
The mountain lion used in the fourth episode cost $5000 an hour to use.
In the 2nd episode one of the clues is a medallion that says "Saint Agatha Patron Saint of Fire." Saint Agatha is actually not the patron saint of fire, however, the show can be related to the novel "And Then There Were None" which was written by Agatha Christie.
