Amusing little short which is more impressive if you know how it was made

It is important to watch to the end of this film, not because of a post- credit scene but rather because the credits inform you that this short was made as part of the 48-hour Film Project. This means that all of this short was filmed, edited and delivered within 48 hours of the first shot – reading more about it, it turns out that the crew were only given the topic of "time travel" on the Friday night so it is all the more impressive that they went from nothing to this completed short in such a very short time.

The downside of it is that it isn't as fully fleshed out as it could have been, but still it works pretty well. The plot goes for laughs as we see the plight of Stevie "3-seconds" Palmer, a man who invented a time machine but only succeeded in traveling back 3-seconds, thus being just that little bit out of sync with the world around him. The first thing to note is that the idea doesn't make much sense if you think about it, so it is best just to go with it. Generally the film is Stevie failing to react to things until 3 seconds after they happened but then we get a second and third act quite quickly and these give the film resolution in a way. It is never hilarious but it is amusing nd it has a nicely comic air throughout, even if the choice of music is a bit obvious.

The performances are very good with natural delivery and good timing (an ironic thing to praise given the plot). The film looks good and is well directed throughout, which is again pretty impressive when you consider the pressure that the crew must have been under. It isn't amazing but it is a neat idea and makes for an amusing little short film.
