The horror of racism, misogyny and bad police
Marina, an upper-class girl, is dating a man in a bar located in a dangerous neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. Zeca is a black man who is making a grafitti nearby. Three misogynous and racist policemen go there to make what police is not supposed to do. A thrilling horror short film about horrors that take place in a Rio de Janeiro that is outside touristic sites: misogyny, racism, psycho policemen, rape culture. The film is very well directed by André Alves Pinto and acted, and has an outstanding edition and cinematography (Markão Oliveira is the cinematographer) that give it kind of a magic realism atmosphere, a little Terry-gilliamesque. The film is harsh, creepy, innovative and socially concerned.
