With reshoots ongoing on Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World, a ton of new set photos have been surfacing online over the past few days and the latest batch reveals star Anthony Mackie ("Sam Wilson/Captain America") suited up in his classic white-and-blue suit from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, essentially reaffirming that he'll be sporting multiple looks in the eagerly-awaited Marvel blockbuster.
As per a recent report, the additional photography isn't expected to be particularly extensive, and should conclude within another week or two. New action sequences were expected to be added, so based on what we're seeing in these photos, it looks like they might be shooting a new opening for the film, where Mackie sports his first Captain America suit.
He'll also wear a wingless blue-and-red suit in the film, something not too dissimilar from Steve Rogers' stealth suit, but it's not yet clear what...

The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito has finally been spotted on the set of Captain America: Brave New World in full costume. As you'll see in the X post below, his character is packing some serious weaponry!
With three knives on his chest and a large gun (axe?) holstered on his left-hand side, this mystery bad guy looks mighty formidable. Chances are he'll take aim at the McU's new Captain America, but just who the heck is he?
Truthfully, we don't know!
While set photos like this would typically let the cat out of the bag, nothing here identifies Esposito as a specific Marvel character. The actor has said he'll appear in a TV series after this big screen debut, so his playing an assassin - potentially hired by Mayor Wilson Fisk - in Daredevil: Born Again, for example, makes sense.
He could be a grounded version of the Serpent Society's...

It’s widely known now that the release of ‘Echo’ has established Netflix’s Defenders Saga as canon. The main motivation for this announcement was likely the upcoming release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ After extensive revisions, it has been decided that rather than being a reboot, the show will continue the story from Netflix’s previous series.
Given that the ‘Daredevil’ show was interconnected with almost all other shows, either directly or indirectly, the Defenders Saga must be considered canon. Among the most prominent shows and characters in the Defenders was ‘Jessica Jones,’ portrayed by Krysten Ritter.
Over the past few months, Ritter has hinted at her return as Jessica Jones multiple times. Initially, she shared a picture of herself with purple hair, reminiscent of the comic-accurate Jessica Jones during her time as Jewel. Later, she posted a photo wearing Jessica’s “Save Our Souls” shirt with a cryptic caption,...

It’s pretty common knowledge by now that the release of ‘Echo’ made Netflix’s Defenders Saga canon. To be fair, the biggest part that motivated the announcement was probably the upcoming release of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ Following extensive reworks of the show, it’s been decided that it’s not going to be a reboot of the show, but rather more akin to the continuation of Netflix’s show.
Since ‘Daredevil’ show was connected to pretty much all other shows, in a direct or indirect way, the Defenders Saga needs to be canon. One of the most notable shows (and characters) within the Defenders was Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter.
In the last couple of months, Ritter teased her return as Jessica Jones several times, first, she posted a picture of herself with purple hair, like comic-accurate Jessica Jones while she was operating as Jewel, and then she...

Nicolas Cage fans must have been overjoyed by the recent update of his hit Disney movie franchise National Treasure. After 17 years of the release of the second installment in the franchise, a potential National Treasure 3 is reportedly in the works which will bring back Cage as Benjamin Franklin.

National Treasure 3 will make the franchise a trilogy and the success of the upcoming movie will determine if more installments can be added. Directed by Jon Turteltaub, the National Treasure franchise was a commercial success although the response from critics was not celebratory. Still, the franchise deserves one more installment. Also, Cage’s return would create the astonishing buzz as Hugh Jackman did following his return as Wolverine.

Daredevil: Born Again recently secured a March 2025 release on Disney+ and fans remain eager to see which characters from the Man Without Fear's past join him in the MCU.
Jon Bernthal's Punisher has already been confirmed to appear alongside Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, though rumours of Krysten Ritter showing up as Jessica Jones are still swirling. Recently, the actress appeared to confirm that with an Instagram post which saw her decked out in Jessica's "Save Our Souls" t-shirt from the show.
However, her "Iykyk" caption might not have held as much meaning as some fans hoped.
Asked by Collider whether she realised the speculation about an MCU return that post would create, Ritter responded, "No, I didn’t. I have the shirt. It’s a great t-shirt. It's one of my favorites and I was wearing it. I was like, 'Oh, cute! Is anyone gonna recognize my shirt?...

The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito recently confirmed he's been cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He didn't give much away, but told fans at a convention that "It's a role you won’t predict" and confirmed, "It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards."
The actor has long been a fan-favourite choice to play Professor X or Doctor Doom (among others) and it seems his mystery character is neither of them.
According to Murphy's Multiverse, Esposito will make his MCU debut in 2025's Captain America: Brave New World.
The site reminds us that much of the movie was shot in 2023 before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes halted production. During the downtime, Marvel Studios executives decided The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follow-up needed an overhaul and writer Matthew Orton was enlisted to pen scenes for extensive reshoots.

Giancarlo Esposito recently confirmed that he had joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe... but not as the character he's been campaigning to play over the past few months, Charles Xavier.
During Ccxp back in May (via Collider), Esposito revealed that he will be appearing in a Marvel Studios project, but declined to reveal any more details. The actor did say that we'd find out "sooner rather than later," and the role is "better than you can imagine."
There was some speculation that Esposito might show up in the cameo-filled Deadpool and Wolverine, but according to Mttsh, he will be making his MCU debut in an upcoming Disney+ series.
Does this narrow down the character possibilities? Not really, since we have Agatha All Along, Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again, and the recently announced Vision series all on the horizon, as well as more Marvel Spotlight presentations such as Wonder Man.

We all remember Vision, right? He was created after Tony Stark almost doomed the world to be destroyed by a robot, then killed by Thanos and kind of, sort of brought back to life by his wife Wanda in "WandaVision," where he went through a whole identity crisis. He was everyone's favorite Marvel character for about five minutes when he said the whole "What is grief, if not love persevering" thing.
Well, now Vision is back, whether we want it or not. According to Variety, Marvel just ordered a Vision TV series for 2026, with Paul Bettany returning to star as the titular character. Additionally, "Star Trek: Picard" executive producer Terry Matalas will serve as a showrunner of the "Vision" show.

Marvel Studios is getting back into the Vision business. After years away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the emotionally devastating conclusion of WandaVision, Paul Bettany is getting rewired for a new series starring Marvel’s most endearing synthezoid. Marvel is developing the untitled Vision series for a 2026 premiere with Star Trek: Picard‘s Terry Matalas in the showrunner position. The door opened on a writer’s room this week, with the series being one of the first projects ordered at Marvel in quite some time.

Mike Colter starred in Marvel Television's Luke Cage from 2015 to 2018 and, like the rest of those heroes, his time as the character reached an abrupt end amid a wave of cancellations. That was Netflix's way of responding to the launch of Disney+, but after a couple of years of waiting, Marvel Studios is free to do what it likes with Power Man and company.
The Defenders TV shows are supposedly considered "canon" to the wider MCU and, with Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal reprising their roles as Daredevil and The Punisher in 2025's Born Again, could Colter eventually join them as Power Man?
The actor was always something of a divisive choice, and replacing the 47-year-old with a younger lead more in line with the comic book version of the character perhaps makes the most sense. For what it's worth, Colter remains open to playing Cage again, even...

That's meant for one-off, character-driven TV shows which can serve as standalone projects with fewer connections to the wider MCU. However, with Echo, that decision seems to have been made relatively last-minute seeing as it set the stage for Daredevil: Born Again.

Marvel has been coming up with a lot of new strategies to fix the mistakes they have made these past few years. One of the most creative solutions has to be the concept of Marvel Spotlight. Many fans were upset with how every single project in Marvel had a level of continuity to another, which made casual watching impossible.

Like any good superhero, Marvel Television has returned from the dead. The label is what the Marvel Netflix shows like "Daredevil" and the ABC ones like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." were made under. Marvel Television was rendered defunct in 2019 after Marvel Studios absorbed it. Now, though its operations remain under the studio's purview, its name is being used again as part of an effort to more cleanly delineate the projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios will continue to be the label of the films, while Marvel Television will headline upcoming Disney+ programs like "Agatha All Along" and "Daredevil: Born Again." Winderbaum continued, “As you know, as a comics fan, they’re designed to just pop in, find something that you like, and use that to enter you into the universe, and then you can explore and weave around based on your own preferences.”

Winderbaum continued, “As you know, as a comics fan, they’re designed to just pop in, find something that you like, and use that to enter you into the universe, and then you can explore and weave around based on your own preferences.”
Although all shows will still be part of the MCU,...

While Disney’s Bob Iger has noted that Marvel content on Disney Plus will be cut down a bit, it was also announced that the channel was actively developing Hawkeye Season 2. That’s in addition to already announced shows like Daredevil: Born Again, Agatha All Along, Ironheart, and several others, meaning that even if the content is being cut back, there’s still plenty more coming.
A lot of the shows have received pretty tepid reactions from fans, but some, like the recent X-Men ’97 are being raved about. So what’s the best Marvel show on Disney Plus so far? Take our poll and weigh in with your thoughts in the comments!

Privately-released Daredevil: Born Again trailer footage included a thrilling callback to one of the McU's most memorable moments from 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.
2021 saw Charlie Cox make his return to the MCU as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirming he would be the man to embody the role for this franchise.
After his years of work in Netflix's Defenders Saga was officially confirmed to be canon with the MCU (on top of roles in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo), fans eagerly await new updates on how his solo series will tie into the greater MCU as well.

Marvel Television, headed by Jeph Loeb under the watchful eye of Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter, closed its doors in 2019. At the time, Disney gave full control of the MCU to Kevin Feige, leading to Marvel Studios developing a slate of projects for Disney+.
While Marvel Television made a lot of missteps (we recently broke many of them down here), Marvel Studios quickly learned that developing TV shows wasn't as easy as they might have believed.
Approaching them like movies with "Head Writers" in place of showrunners (and pricey reshoots which fixed glaring issues in post-production) has forced them to go back to the drawing board. Following Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul, future small screen projects will be made like traditional TV shows.

Although Daredevil: Born Again features the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, the series originally didn’t have any other connection to the Netflix series. When Daredevil: Born Again was forced to shut down last summer due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and other executives grew displeased with the direction of the show and demanded a creative overhaul. According to Cox and D’Onofrio, that overhaul has brought “a lot” of crossover with the original show.
“It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot,” D’Onofrio told TVInsider. Since the overhaul, we’ve seen other members of the original Daredevil series return, including Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and more. Charlie Cox’s return to the MCU was first announced during the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. Daredevil: Born Again got an official confirmation at the event and the filming of the series began before the Hollywood strikes put a halt to the production. Since 2021, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin of Crime have shown up in various MCU TV shows.
We've seen the Man Without Fear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, with Wilson Fisk appearing in the latter and Hawkeye. However, these two haven't shared the screen since Daredevil wrapped up on Netflix six years ago.
That's set to change in Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again and, in an interview with TV Insider, D'Onofrio revealed that the revival originally featured no significant links to Daredevil.
"It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot," the actor said of crossovers between the two. Cox chimed in to say there's now "a lot" of them, presumably meaning Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Bullseye, and The Punisher were M.I.A. in the previous iteration of Born Again.

It’s been nearly six years since Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio starred in a series with Daredevil in the title, but in less than a year, they’ll be back to form in Disney+’s Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again. The series is currently slated to arrive in March 2025, and the stars will once again portray vigilante lawyer Matt Murdock, known by most as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, a.k.a. Daredevil, and crime boss Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin. While the actors have made several MCU appearances since their former Netflix series was canceled – most recently in Echo – Daredevil: Born Again will get back to putting Cox and D’Onofrio at the forefront. “It’s fun,” D’Onofrio told TV Insider at the Disney Upfront presentation in New York City on May 14. “The best thing about it is that we like each other and we appreciate each other’s work,...

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
Recently, we got a confirmation of the release date. The show is supposed to arrive on Disney+ in March 2025, with 9 episodes in total. Fans were disappointed with this information considering that the original outlines for the show promised 18 episodes.
Despite that, we have to mention that the show was rumored to be a two-part,two-season story, meaning that 9 episodes will be released in March and 9 episodes at some later date. Charlie Cox’s recent comments only support that idea.
Speaking to Deadline, Charlie Cox revealed his future in the MCU along with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and we gotta say we’re excited about it.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has become one of the most discussed upcoming MCU projects, fueled by both fan anticipation and a tumultuous production journey. From the hurdles of a SAG-AFTRA strike to clashes in creative visions between showrunners and the studio, the project has faced its share of challenges.
Recently, a release date confirmation was added to the conversation. The show is slated to debut on Disney+ in March 2025, comprising a total of nine episodes. This revelation left fans disappointed, especially considering the initial promises of 18 episodes outlined for the series.
However, it’s worth noting that rumors have circulated suggesting that the show was intended to unfold as a two-part, two-season narrative. This implies that while nine episodes are set for release in March, another nine may follow at a later date. Charlie Cox’s recent remarks further bolster this notion.

Last year, a creative overhaul saw The Punisher's Dario Scardapane replace Matt Corman and Chris Ord as Daredevil: Born Again's showrunner. Now, all signs point to the Marvel Studios series delivering the take on the Man Without Fear we've been waiting to see in the MCU.
TV Line caught up with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio at the Upfronts in New York yesterday and asked the former whether the retooling has brought Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk more in line with Netflix's Daredevil.
"Not exactly the same, but much closer," Cox teased. "And potentially much improved."
D'Onofrio added, "It’s hard to comment because I want to say so much about both the [Netflix] show and this show, and the change that happened, but in the end, the last few months of work we did was written beautifully and directed beautifully. Personally, I think it’s as intense as we’ve ever been.

Fans have been waiting for the Disney+ production, Daredevil: Born Again, since it was announced by Kevin Fiege during the 2022 San Diego Comic Con. Starring Charlie Cox as the titular character, the show is alleged to be a soft reboot of the Netflix series Daredevil, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. After numerous delays because of script changes, as well as the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the show is finally ready to land on the streaming platform.

Marvel has been known to be quite unjust towards specific characters in their collection. The perfect example of this would be Danny Rand, better known as Iron Fist. He is one of the most beloved mystical characters in the Marvel Universe. Despite this, the character has not had the best experience when it comes to live action.

Iron Fist made his debut in the world of comics in May 1974 in the fifteenth issue of Marvel Premiere. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, the character has become iconic for many different reasons.

Yesterday evening, we learned that Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ next March. That's later than expected, but the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes slowed things down, as did Marvel Studios' decision to creatively overhaul a series which wasn't working in its previous form.
TV Line spoke to Charlie Cox, confirming that a total of nine episodes were shot for the series. When Daredevil: Born Again was announced, it was as an 18-episode TV show, so something has clearly changed.
However, this appears to confirm claims from a few online scoopers who have said the series is being split in two, with the other 9 episodes now likely to serve as Daredevil: Born Again "season 2."
In a separate interview (which you can watch below), Cox also revealed that production has wrapped on the series. Given the expense associated with taking the show back to the drawing board, it's possible the rest of...

Last night during Disney's 2024 Upfronts presentation, we finally got release dates for Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as confirmation that Ironheart will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2025.

We've known for some time now that 2024 is something of a recalibration year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a rough past year for the blockbuster franchise. But with Wolverine & Deadpool just weeks away and X-Men '97 keeping the Marvel flag flying high on Disney+ right now, plans for Kevin Feige and co's big comeback are already well underway. And, during an announcement-laden Disney Upfront presentation yesterday, we got some big release updates for the studio's upcoming slate of Disney+ series.
Firstly, the House of Mouse — not Harkness — confirmed that they've been leading fans a merry dance with the titling of their upcoming WandaVision spin-off series, centred around everyone's favourite badass (and just plain bad) witch. It's not Agatha: House Of Harkness, The Coven Of Chaos, The Darkhold Diaries, or in fact The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe. Turns out it was Agatha All Along, well, all along — cheeky devils!

Marvel Television was originally a separate entity from Marvel Studios, spearheaded by Jeph Loeb under the watchful eye of former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter.
Before being shut down in 2019 (when Disney handed full control of all things Marvel to Kevin Feige), Marvel Television produced the likes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Netflix's Defenders slate, and even the likes of Cloak & Dagger, The Runaways, and M.O.D.O.K.
The vast majority of characters were off-limits to Marvel Television, with Marvel Studios' desires prioritised by Disney. For Feige, Loeb's outfit was an annoyance, particularly as much of what they produced - Inhumans, for example - damaged the MCU brand.
Marvel Studios has since discovered that producing TV shows isn't as easy as it looks. Last year, the decision was made to creatively overhaul Daredevil: Born Again and the studio's small screen output as a whole, with "Head Writers" finally replaced with proper showrunners.

Disney+ has revealed the release dates for its WandaVision spin-off, Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again.
After several, tongue-firmly-in-cheek title changes, Disney+ has finally given its WandaVision spin-off a final title: Agatha All Along.
The cast, including Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Patti LuPone, were promoting the series at Disney’s Upfront event yesterday, revealed the title and also when we get to see the series itself.
Agatha All Along will premiere on Disney+ on 18th September with two episodes, continuing with weekly episodes after that. There was also a trailer, but this hasn’t made its way online yet. We’ll make sure to share it once it does. However, IGN has detailed what the audience at the presentation saw, if you’re into that kind of thing.
“We can say that the coven is strong,” Hahn told Deadline at the event when asked for details about the new series.

Following the Agatha All Along reveal, Marvel Studios announced the premiere dates for both Daredevil: Born Again and Ironheart during tonight's Disney Upfronts presentation.
Born Again, which will serve as a relaunch of the cancelled Daredevil Netflix series, is set to hit the streaming service in March of next year. Star Charlie Cox confirmed that the season will run for nine episodes.
Ironheart is also set to premiere in 2025, but an exact date was not revealed.
Marvel screened the first trailers for both shows for those in attendance, but they haven't been released online (and likely won't be for a while). However, we do have updated logos, which you can check out below along with an interview clip (via Deadline).

Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness finally has an official title—for real this time—and a release date on Disney+.
The Agatha series has been through several titles over the years, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe. It turns out those constant title changes were the result of the titular pesky witch, and the actual title was unveiled during Disney’s 2024 Upfront Presentation: Agatha All Along. The first two episodes of the series will debut on Disney+ on September 18th.

The fitting title takes its name from the viral ear-worm song featuring in WandaVision from composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Admit it, you’re humming it right now.

After a two-year absence from the upfront stage, Jimmy Kimmel was back Tuesday to take aim at Bob Iger, P Diddy, CBS and the new Golden Bachelorette.
Introduced by Kerry Washington — who he said was the “last decent lead-in I ever had” — Kimmel had fun with an artificial version of Bob Iger on screen and another version of the Golden Bachelor franchise called The Golden Retriever: Love is a Bitch.
Here’s his monologue:
“Let’s hear it for all the talented stars who were forced to come here today because of a clause in their contract their agents didn’t bother to read. I am glad you’re all inside. I heard Amazon left you guys out on the porch. You’re lucky you didn’t get stolen.”
