Actress Kate Patel wanted to originally play the role of both Wendy Eastman and Willy Pickman and did a screen test in makeup and a skull cap. But it would have been a technical challenge. Meanwhile, producer Robert Rhine and director Chad Ferrin met with actor/comedian Harland Williams for the role of Willy. The script was a bit to extreme for Williams, and writer Chad Ferrin didn't want to soften the script. Then, Robert Rhine of Girls and Corpses Films happened to be watching Jake Busey in Starship Troopers and a light went off and Rhine suggested Jake Busey for the challenging role. After Busey met with Rhine and Ferrin, and approved the script, Rhine added additional financing for Busey.
