I have watched most of the episodes in this series. My daughter is very interested in how forensics is used to solve crime. Yes her pink hair, tattoos and piercings do make her look less professional. However, that being said my main comment is that she will make you sit through an entire episode with no conclusion. What would really add to her credibility would be if she was able to find evidence that exonerates these people. Now that would make this a hit show. Instead, I feel like I am just watching a documentary on why this person is still in jail or on death row. Ok so there are a couple episodes that have a great ending. This is mainly why I gave it a 5 instead of a one. But in the interest of "spoilers" I will not reveal which ones those are. You will have to watch and find out for yourself.

Finally, a true crime show that doesn't insult my intelligence with inane questions that have been answered a zillion times. The host actually has "boots on the ground" experience and cares about the cases that she's exploring! (I think I even saw her tear up once or twice!)
I was truly impressed at the courtroom footage of the show's host testifying in the trial itself. No arm-chair quarterbacking or re-contextualizing, we got to see the real drama from this tragic case.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes and the cases the show explores-I hope they can keep smashing these cases open for us!

I am disgusted and disappointed that you allowed that miserable family to go on lying. Casey Anthony's acquittal was the worst miscarriage of justice, after OJ. She was clearly guilty and only got away with murder thanks to a flashy phony lawyer, and a bunch of morons on the jury. The grandmother says in the show, that she wasn't going to lose her daughter and granddaughter and then lies and says she wouldn't lie to help to her. It is a filthy lie. That family had no right to act like a murder was just their family " problem". Casey should be rotting in jail at the least. Stop covering for them them and acting sympathetic. Won't watch this show again. Disgraceful. They are NOT entitled to ANY sympathy!!!

Firstly there is no correlation between the color of a persons hair and how good of a job they do at work. Alina is great and I believe she is a genuinely good person who got involved as a crime scene investigator to provide a voice for victims.
The best are the looks she gives. She does a great deadpan when she clearly feels like the other person she's speaking with needs to get a clue.
A fascinating watch. True crime is definitely a thing right now so we'll be needing more of this.

Although the show has some interesting views, it's all just pointless. It's basically Monday morning quarterbacking. It's basically a show of her pushing her opinion, weather right or wrong. She's also not a very good host, way to dramatic. I'd pass on this show.

This show is well made. Everything is good, camera, narration, lights, the interviews, all. But the most interesting thing about this show is that it shows you things as they are, as they happened from the human/neighbor eye, then investigators and the technical things appear. Only 2 episodes in and I can't wait to watch the other ones. Just from 2 and I feel like I have learned new things! Coup Contrecoup injury! Now I know what that is!

Crime Scene Confidential is the worst crime TV show ever. Alina Burroughs is so hard to watch and consider a professional anything, much less crime scene investigator. She has zero talent. Maybe if they hired a true detective or FBI agent it would be more entertaining.
I love true stories but this one has no point to it. It is like sitting through your worst annual review made by somebody who knows nothing about how to perform your job. Please ID take this off the air. Watching reruns is more entertaining then this.
Homicide Hunter has actual experience. Paula Zahn know nothing about crime but is a great interviewer. Evil Lives Here with actual victims. So many good shows but not this one.

First of all, I support personal expression but cannot take seriously a woman with pink hair, frosty lipstick to match her gross frosty nails, more makeup than they put on a corpse, piercings everywhere, and dressed like she's headed to the bar, at least not as a grownup, smart scientist.
That aside, I watched the Casey Anthony case from 2008 all the way through the 2011 trial and had nothing but mad respect for those detectives. Now this woman, who only did forensics and then worked some office job, is going to swoop in over a decade later and act like she's in a position to offer an opinion? (Where is Yuri Melich's TV show? The one guy who deserves the spotlight probably doesn't want it because he really is about the victims, not the cameras.)
I also agree with the other reviewer who said it was sickening to watch this woman sit and cry with Cindy Anthony. Cindy lied about doing searches for chloroform herself, to protect Casey. Gee, I wonder where Casey learned to lie so well and so often. That horrid family doesn't deserve an ounce of sympathy from anyone.
You can tell even from the promos that this show is just a love letter from Alina to Alina. What a slap in the face to real investigators and true crime journalists. Sorry but it's a no from me dawg.

This woman has not worked any crime that was solved. Her participation in most of the cases she presents as her own, was extremely limited. She likely spent very little time in the field, and cannot come to conclusions based on no evidence. She is a horrible host! Apparently, she is just terrible at every job she has ever had. This is a waste of time show. Nothing gets solved, and you have to look at her disturbing and strung out face.
What a waste of time this show is and Alina Burroughs is horrible as the host!

This is more of a show for her to give her opinions even when her opinions failed to impress a jury and the defendant does not get the verdict she feels the defendant should have received. Of the two episodes that have aired the first she was a CSI on the case, and the second she was not. However in the second she goes full throttle as an advocate for the parents who did not get the verdict they wanted. This is topped off by Alina Burroughs weeping with the father saying the jury got it wrong. So two shows she is implying that that the defendant should have been found guilty. Also when looking at Alina Burroughs history she did not get her master's degree in science in felony justice until 2022! It seems she needed the maters to allow her to legally go on the air to give her opinions. She also worked for 6 years in a unrelated field, before becoming bad host of this bad TV show.

While Alina is obviously an inteligent and gifted analyst and understands forensic and scientific evidence, watching the Casey Anthony revisit was maddening. First of all the hike world, except for 12 people in Florida, knows she killed that little girl. The 30 days of lies while getting wasted at the bar with party pics all the while utilizing "alternate means" to look for her daughter is beyond absurd. Lied about her job. Lied about the nanny. Lied about everything. What means did she supposedly use to look for the little girl when wasn't partying? The police didn't look in the car until the recorded 911 phone call that the mom made stating that the car smelled like a dead body. Her words. Course she had a change of heart though and said it was garbage. Everyone else smelled it. Are you kidding me? She drowned? With duck tape on her mouth? Really? The show asks the mom about the computer searches we know she didn't make because it's documented she was at work. Besides the show didnt mention she supposedly searched chlorophyll 84 times. You mean she made that mistake 84 times while clicking on links to various websites about chloroform? Really? "Fool proof suffocation?" Why not mention that on the show? Why make the mother look like victims who deserve peace when the mother is just as complicit as her murdering daughter. The show should truly have highlighted the FACTS instead of letting the family off easy. Really pisses me off that baby kíller is still getting notoriety and a platform when she's worse than OJ. WHO KILLS A 3 YEAR OLD? Should have really got them to answer the tougher questions instead of saying you hope they find peace and a shot at a normal life. They don't.

This cheap show is just a means to make a buck off of old tragedies. It is pretty despicable if you think about it.
The host is tiring. I get tired of being distracted by her teen age bizzare look at me look at me hair color. Grow up. Are you an adult or not? Are you a professional or not? The ring in the nose doesn't help with credibility, not that she show has any.
This is the absolute bottom of crime shows. There are amateur videos on YouTube that are better.
Watching this show makes you feel like an accessory to grave robbing.

Distractions

Let's face it we are a visual world these days. That said, unless you're 3 or a Barbie wannabe, a grown woman with pink hair is a huge distraction. It gets in the way of...well...everything. The show dilutes Alina's already failing credibility as an investigator. We don't hear her. We don't believe her. All we see is that horrific salmon pink hair atop an inappropriate woman on a mindless show. Please remove her and in her place give us something worth watching.
There are some great crime shows on Forensic Files but this is not one of them. We just get poor narration by a poor narrator. It's annoying. Distracting.

I want to like this show! But...The fact that there is nothing done about all this 'new' information is extremely disturbing on many levels and leaves me totally unsatisfied. It's like this great build up, all this damning information that was either overlooked or ignored by initial investigators -and you're thinking wow how could they have gotten away with that..well, that's exactly what happens, AGAIN!! There's no conclusion. I want justice! For the victims, for the families...all this new evidence and information yet nothing is done... Well I'm done-with this show, that is!!... I get so worked up that they don't take it that extra step and prosecute the seedy low life's I want to scream!! The pink haired lady I think is a fresh look-and she's very smart, BUT LADY-DO SOMETHING WITH ALL THAT KNOWLEDGE!!! Otherwise, like others have said, your pink hair is just distracting, unnecessary and unprofessional.
