I found this film difficult to follow at first, but once I got into it, I couldn't look away. This is a truly original film, and a work of art amongst the superficial offerings of most Hollywood (and Independent) films. Before watching, release all of your ideas about what a film "should" be like. There are no characters, plot, or dialogue, but a ceaselessly flowing stream of images, music, observations and ideas presented in a way I had never seen before. I've seen many movies that explore similar subjects as this one, but nothing has transformed the way I think or view the world as much as Ontologica! With a wry sense of humor, it takes viewers on a tour of reality (think Carl Sagan's Cosmos on acid) from humanity to the edges of the known universe. I was reeling with epiphanies as new ideas (and new perspectives on old ideas) were presented, and by the end of it, I was giddy with excitement and a profound sense of my place in Whole. I've now seen it three times, and have discovered more to appreciate with each viewing. That being said, don't watch this if you're easily offended, as it contains language, images, and subject matter that many will find off-putting.
