Missing Murray

Warning: Spoilers
This is the first episode post-Garland. Not feeling it thus far, although there had be high chaos on the set the week of filming. This was a Valentine's Day theme and while it had its moments (Emmy surfaced, Jeff's family "love" was cringe-funny), the show was lacking. Set aside Garland's action for a moment. The Goldberg's without Pops and now Murray has a steep hill to climb.

Just Another Network Show

Warning: Spoilers
All of these episodes have been the same for the last season. Erica does / says something bad, Geoff gets offended/ sad- they make up. Adam and Bria have a problem, Beverly meddles in it somehow, Adam offends Beverly, Adam has to apologize to them both.

The timing is so bad, the pace is horrible. No real drama, it is like they flandarized every character to the max. The Goldbergs was such an awesome show because of the fun plots and idea- and now it is just like every other family-based show. Those "whacky" one liners, everyone's acting is the same. They used to have diverse acting methods- you can't differentiate Erica's acting from Adam's. I mean, what was with Erica making fun of Geoffs family? Yeah it used to be funny but she just rags on him and he's a doormat. That's the joke. Adam's friends are those "whacky" characters that add nothing to the story and are just Disney Channel oddballs.

It's upsetting and the show used to be so special because a real talented guy was behind it. I bet now they use the same writers "The Conners" had. They're all the same show now. And of course, Jeff Garlin and George Segal being gone is had. Segal was tragic, and added so much magic. I can't speak on Garlin, but he was pretty much the last comedic character who got a few laughs. But again, he just got boiled down to "lazy dad who likes to eat".

I can't see this show coming back. It had a good run with its first few seasons, and this episode was the last straw for me.
