One of the grand hotel's security guards approached the film crew because he is a big fan of cinema and became a temporary film assistant.
The show is dedicated to the producer's grandmother, who passed away a few months earlier.
On the first day of shooting, a general strike broke out in Brussels and almost canceled the show; after significant logistical changes, the shooting went ahead. The positive side was that the production shot in an empty hotel.
The production is done within a few days: recording in the studio on Sunday, shooting the host's scenes on Monday, receiving the backing track on Tuesday, and shooting the playback clips on Thursday. Trailer on Saturday and the finished product a week later.
Initially, this show was born out of a love of Christmas and a desire to prove that high-value production can be done in Europe.
