Nicole Kidman is not one of the highest-paid actresses in the world for no reason. With her consistently incredible work in film and television, the actress has time and again proved that she can do anything and everything, no matter the genre. Whether it’s a thriller like Destroyer or a rom-com like Just Go with It, Nicole Kidman knows just how to do justice to her roles.

She has also worked as a producer on many projects including Taylor Sheridan’s spy thriller, Special Ops: Lioness. The television series stars Zoe Saldaña in the lead role as Joe, a CIA officer in charge of the Lioness program. Nicole Kidman also has a supporting, yet pivotal role in the series, which was custom-made by Taylor Sheridan himself just so he could get the actress to come in front of the cameras for the show.

Nicole Kidman has been an international treasure going on four decades. Whether you’re tracking her many wigs (“The Undoing” is our favorite), admiring her textured and committed performances, or just standing up and saluting before every AMC Theatres showing, you’re probably honoring her in some way.
While five best actress Oscar nominations and one win (for “The Hours”) have been adequate markers of her success and endurance, conversations have been brewing for years about a lack of recognition for her remarkable artistic consistency.
“How many times does Nicole Kidman have to prove herself?” asked author Anne Helen Peterson in a 2017 essay for BuzzFeed, one that examined how esteem is or isn’t doled out to women in Hollywood, using Kidman as a template.
“While male actors coast on the brilliance of a single performance for years, female stars have to reapply for greatness on a yearly basis, fighting...

Besides Adam Sandler’s baggy polo and basketball shorts, there’s something else that people find quite fascinating about him, and that is the impressive box office numbers he holds. Truth be told, he is indeed a pioneer of a certain type of comedy in Hollywood.

Well now, criticism may come and go, but Sandler’s got his finger on the pulse of his craft. Comic Nick Swardson is following up a disastrous performance in Colorado with a promise to “make it up” to the town where he was escorted from the stage 20 minutes into his stand-up set.
On Sunday at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, an admittedly inebriated Swardson, 47, was removed from the stage to the sounds of an angry crowd booing him after he stammered through what appeared to be a nonsensical opening during his headlining appearance. On Tuesday, the Grandma’s Boy actor issued a statement about the incident.
“Just casually woke up on TMZ,” he wrote on X, referencing the news website’s article about the tanked performance. “Travel tip: don’t drink and take edibles in high altitude. F—ing brain diarrhea. I’ll make it up to you Beaver Creek!”

Rachel Dratch used to be the ultimate "Oh, her!" comedian — the type of face and voice you'd always recognize, but whose name you might forget. Well, that didn't last long, because she was so memorable in tiny parts like "Southern Woman" ("Martin & Orloff") and "Female Mc" ("Winter Passing") at the outset of her career that she quickly grew into a beloved household name.
We know and love her now for her long tenure on "Saturday Night Live," where she helped create enduring characters like Debbie Downer, and in memorable roles in films like "Sisters," "Click," and "Just Go With It." Since she made her screen debut, Dratch has amassed an enormous 125 screen credits, and that's just counting individual projects, not episodes of TV, which would stretch into the multiple hundreds.
Those early years, where she was fighting for recognition with ounce inch of her comedic prowess, are well worth revisiting.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have a bond like no other in Hollywood. Their friendship dates back long before they costarred in "Murder Mystery" and its 2023 sequel on Netflix, as the actors first met at a deli and bonded over french toast in the early '90s. "We were friends before 'Friends,'" Aniston said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 2019, reflecting on her and Sandler's initial hangout more than 30 years ago. "We must have been like real family in another life."
The longtime pals famously played love interests in 2011's "Just Go With It," and the following year, Sandler spoke at Aniston's Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony, cracking jokes and declaring, "I love this girl. My wife loves this girl. The entire world loves this girl." Since then, the pair have remained closer than ever, hanging out with each other's families and praising one another in interviews any chance they get.

Adam Sandler is best known for his comedic roles, but if there's one thing he's serious about, it's his wife, Jackie. The couple first met on the set of his 1999 film "Big Daddy" and have pretty much been inseparable since. The Sandlers eventually tied the knot in 2003 and have since welcomed two daughters, Sunny, 14, and Sadie, 17 - both of whom star in Netflix's "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah" with the couple.
Through the years, Adam and Jackie have given fans some sweet glimpses of their longtime romance. On June 22, Adam celebrated their wedding anniversary on Instagram by posting a photo from their wedding day, writing, "Happy 20th my sweet Jackie! Your 'I do' was the best gift of my life." Los Angeles, Aug 12 (Ians) Britney Spears has said that she is now done with using Botox, and is perfectly happy with alternative cosmetic facial treatments.
In a new Instagram video, the 41-year-old pop singer — who recently reconnected with her sons — told her followers that she has found an alternative treatment to support anti-aging. She also derided Botox, calling it a ‘horrible’ medicine, saying that for her it has only made things a lot worse.
The closely-shot snippet showed the singer with a very bare and broken kind of face with her blonde hair falling over her chest as she ranted on the camera.
In her lengthy post on Instagram, she wrote: “Ok… I have a big forehead and I seriously need bangs but I feel like I can’t see sometimes with bangs!!! I’m sharing this because it actually really does work. Too many times, these so-called ‘best doctors’ do amazing Botox.

August has arrived, and with it, the last full month of summer-worthy shows and flicks, at least for 2023. From all the summer sensations to food weather, carnival fun and, of course, the lack of school, the streamer’s film slate will update with some appropriate flicks like “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2,” “Eat Pray Love,” “Despicable Me” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” respectively.
If you’re one of those who senses the change in the air as soon as the salty summer heat gives way to crisp fall fog, “Heartstopper” Season 2, complete with its cartoon drawings of leaves, waits for you starting August 3. “The Lincoln Lawyer: Season 2 Part 2” concludes the two-part followup to the legal drama starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. “Heart of Stone,” a big tentpole film starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, promises action-lovers a good time.

The American Film Institute is indefinitely postponing the AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony, dedicated to Nicole Kidman.
In a prepared statement the organization said Monday: “For nearly half a century, the AFI Life Achievement Award has convened artists and audiences in celebration of excellence in the art form. Due to the division in our community at this time, AFI has decided to postpone this year’s event with the goal to offer a celebratory environment worthy of our recipient.”
“Nicole Kidman has enchanted audiences for decades with the daring of her artistry and the glamour of a screen icon,” said Kathleen Kennedy, chair of the AFI Board of Trustees when the initial award was announced on November 22, 2022. “She is a force both brave in her choices and bold in each performance. AFI is honored to present her with the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award.”

As befitting its status as one of the world’s biggest companies, every now and then Amazon likes to take a big swing with its Prime Video originals. With its list of new releases for April 2023, the streamer is taking one of its biggest swings yet.
Though it’s not quite as vast or expensive as fellow Prime Video series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Citadel (premiering April 28) is a massive, massive undertaking. Starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, this spy series is described as “an expansive and groundbreaking global event comprising a mothership series and several local language satellite series.” This means that the Russo Brothers-produced project will eventually feature several spinoffs in multiple countries and languages around the world. Neat-o!

Review: There are two types of Adam Sandler movies: good ones and the ones he makes for Netflix. Since signing a massive deal with the streaming platform in 2014, Sandler has made eight films of varying quality, with all but two being lambasted by critics. Looked at by many as expensive vacations for Sandler and his friends, most of these comedies are nothing more than filler for Netflix to pad their library of original productions. When Murder Mystery premiered in 2019, the reunion of Jennifer Aniston and Sandler was a critical dud, but fans loved the blend of action and mystery. To quote the evil Noah Cross in Chinatown, “Politicians, ugly buildings and whores all get respectable if they last long enough.” The same can be said of Adam Sandler, who spent years as a piñata for critics as a result of such mindless comedies as Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. Now he’s an acclaimed actor, his name floated by Oscar prognosticators for such superb performances as the ones he gave in Uncut Gems and Hustle. He’s even joined the ranks of such illustrious comedic talents as Richard Pryor and George Carlin in winning the Mark Twain Prize.
But Sandler’s ultimately gotta be Sandler, and that huge deal with Netflix has to be fulfilled. Hence the arrival of Murder Mystery 2, the sequel to the critically panned 2019 comedy co-starring Jennifer Aniston that became the streamer’s biggest hit that year. The only reason Murder Mystery 2 or even its predecessor exists is as a star vehicle in the most literal sense of the word. The recipe is simple: Sign Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, put them in glamorous locations with lots of action and schtick, and then set it loose on a global platform – Netflix – that can easily sell these kinds of recognizable shenanigans in all points of the world. It worked in 2019, and it works again now, only this time with the action and stunts so ramped up they almost overtake the plot, such as it is. The template and characters were firmly established in the original which had our stars caught up in a murder in which they were suspects, but eventually save the day before the entire cast of characters wind up dead in the process.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston have tackled the rom-com with 2011’s Just Go With It and action with 2019’s Murder Mystery and its new sequel; now the longtime friends are eyeing a drama for their next collaboration.
“We were saying we would love to be able to do something serious together — not that this isn’t serious, but more in the dramatic side,” Aniston told The Hollywood Reporter at the Murder Mystery 2 premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday. “I just think he’s so exquisite as a dramatic actor as well and it’s not easy to swing back and forth.”
Sandler, who in recent years has received acclaim for his heavier roles in Uncut Gems and Hustle, confirmed he’s also in, saying of a dramatic project for the duo, “That would be great. She’s amazing, she’s a deep young lady, I would love to do something different with her.

The jury system can by trying, but “Jury Duty” — a doc-style comedy series coming to Freevee on April 7 — examines it through the eyes of one juror. The catch: The actual juror, Ronald Gladden, doesn’t realize the case is fake and everyone else is an actor. All the crazy machinations inside the courtroom are planned, and everyone is in on it, except for Gladden. Will this lone juror be able to find his way to justice despite all of the chaos surrounding the case?

Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore seem like the kind of costars you'd want to work with again and again - especially if you're Adam Sandler. The duo showed up to support their costar and longtime friend as he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on March 19. The star-studded ceremony - which took place at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington DC - was also attended by Idina Menzel, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, Ben Stiller, Pete Davidson, and Adam's wife, Jackie Sandler.
"As I look at this goofy award I'm holding, I just can't help but think this just may be the weapon used to bludgeon me, by an angry intruder," Sandler joked in his acceptance speech, per The Hollywood Reporter. He then went on to discuss how much he loves making movies with people he loves. "When someone asks me: those bad reviews you get - how does that make you feel?...

Jennifer Aniston covered her mouth in shock when she accidentally swore on a live taping of an English television programme.
The actress joined “This Morning” hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for a conversation about her and Adam Sandler’s upcoming “Murder Mystery” sequel, where she described an on-set occurrence as being one of “s**ts and giggles.”
Aniston didn’t realize that the show was live, thinking that her potty mouth could be “bleeped out,” however she immediately clued in when Willoughby and Schofield quickly apologized to viewers for the vulgar language.

Hulu’s list of new releases for March 2023 features an event long in the making.
On March 6, History of the World, Part II will finally arrive more than 40 years after Mel Brooks’ classic comedy History of the World, Part I. first premiered. Of course, Brooks never had any intention of adding future parts to his ahistorical film, but that yet makes the arrival of Part II so many years later even funnier. Described as a four-night comedy event, History of the World, Part II will release two episodes a day through March 9. Brooks returns to write and executive produce this series and will star alongside Nick Kroll, Wanda Sykes, and Ike Barinholtz. Guest stars include…everyone. Basically just everyone.

It’s ironic but unavoidable that the greatest annual celebration of film should be a television special — but that’s just how it is. March often means Oscar season, a time for cinephiles to boot up that small screen you use for movies and use it to see if they win any awards during a telecast.

Though the ceremony itself won’t be livestreamed on Hulu, it will be added the next morning, like regular ABC programming. In January 2020, the most popular movie on Netflix was “Don’t Look Up,” a newly released disaster comedy with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. But the second-most-popular movie was “Just Go With It,” an Adam Sandler flick from 2011 that had just started streaming on the service.
Timothy Dowling, who co-wrote the screenplay for that film, watched in anticipation as a movie he’d made more than a decade before inexplicably climbed the Netflix charts. But when his next residual check arrived, he received an unwelcome surprise. “I saw no noticeable change in the residuals I got,” Dowling says, referencing the money that film and TV talent receive when their movies or shows are broadcast, syndicated or appear on home entertainment platforms. He was baffled. “Clearly, Netflix paid money for this,” he says. “But is that money trickling down to the writer?”

Before we get to the "Murder Mystery 2" trailer, can we talk about Adam Sandler's career real quick? The popular actor simply owned the 1990s with a string of hilarious hits like "Billy Madison," "Happy Gilmore," and "The Wedding Singer," but a funny thing happened on the way to establishing himself as the go-to comedy leading man. A director by the name of Paul Thomas Anderson approached him for this little movie called "Punch-Drunk Love" in 2002, casting him entirely against type and giving him a career-best role that allowed audiences to see that he offered so much more than what they'd gotten used to. Of course, he'd follow that up with about a dozen more movies that we'd expect from him ... that is, until he enjoyed a bit of a renaissance period between "Sandy Wexler," "The Meyerowitz Stories," and especially the Safdie brothers anxiety-inducing "Uncut Gems."

How can Amazon Prime Video followup the first season finale of its biggest series ever in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power? The answer lies in its list of new releases for November 2022.
Understandably, Prime Video is probably pretty tired and won’t be opting for any more Middle-earth spectacle for awhile. In its place, however, are a couple of still intriguing Amazon Original series. British Western drama series The English is set to arrive on Nov. 11 to both Prime Video and BBC Two. Emily Blunt stars as a woman who heads to the American West in 1890 looking for revenge on the man she sees as responsible for the death of her son. Cool! Speaking of the English, the James Corden-starring Mammals also premieres on Nov. 11.
