- TriviaMadonna watched an advance copy of the episode before it aired, and then released a statement voicing her approval: "I thought the Madonna episode of Glee (2009) was brilliant on every level. The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony, especially when all those macho boys sang 'What It Feels Like For A Girl.' I also loved the fantastic performances of 'Vogue,' 'Express Yourself' and all the messages about the boys being respectful to girls. The entire cast was amazing. They're all so talented. I especially loved Sue Sylvester and Kurt Hummel's characters. Ryan Murphy did a great job bringing all these elements together. [Madonna's daughter] Lola loved the show too. I wish I went to a high school like that... if only."
- GoofsMadonna did not write "Like a Virgin", despite what Brittany says. It was written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly.
- Quotes
Will Schuester: Guys, you know, it's come to my attention that many of you haven't been treating the young ladies of our group very nicely lately. You're disrespectful, bullying, sexist, and, I hate to say it, misogynistic.
Finn Hudson: I have no idea what that means.
Brittany: When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a "misogynist".

It also felt that several key parts of the storyline were adjusted just so they could connect it to Madonna. Having 3 virgins suddenly want to have sex just so they could play "Like a Virgin" didn't really fit the flow of the season. Making all the guys act even more like misogynists than usual so they could empower all the girls was kind of offensive as well.
It almost felt like Madonna's agent was standing over their shoulders during this episode, trying to eek out every minute of promotion for his client.
Don't get me wrong, it was still enjoyable. But not up to the usual standards I've come to expect from Glee.
