- Sam Fisher: Remember what you told me, Anna? When this is over, everybody walks; I'm walking.
- Anna Grimsdottir: You can't. There's still too much left to do.
- Sam Fisher: Ask Lambert. I've done too much already.
- Anna Grimsdottir: Sam, please. I don't know who else I can trust.
- Sam Fisher: Trust? Funny you should say that. Goodbye, Grim.
- Sam Fisher: [Bashing the head of the terrorist against the wall] That's gonna change the way people look at you.
- Sam Fisher: [Bashing the head of the terrorist against the wall] Face, meet Wall. Wall, this is face!
- Victor Coste: [from trailer]
- Victor Coste: Like any man, when he's pushed to his limits, he's capable of anything. When someone strikes at the one's he loves, he will take any steps necessary. He's looking for answers, for the truth. He will stand by his convictions. The Sam Fisher you know is dead. The man who played by the rules, listened to the voice in his ear - he's gone. So watch your back, I can't stop him - no one can.
- [from trailer]
- Andrei Kobin: This is bigger than your daughter, this is bigger than both of us. The people who did this... you can't hide from them!
- Sam Fisher: Who said anything about hiding?
- [from trailer]
- Sam Fisher: I used to want them to forget about me - it made sense at the time. I'd lost my daughter, I'd shot my best friend, I'd seen the agency I gave my life to turn around and throw me to the dogs. So I made a deal: I wouldn't bother them and they wouldn't bother me, and we'd both let sleeping dogs lie. It was good enough for a while, when all I wanted to do was be someone else and forget everything I'd done. But that never lasts... You always come back to who you are, you always come back to what's important. I started asking questions, I started finding answers. When those answers took me back home, that's where I went. The only thing worth hunting is the truth, no matter where it's hiding. Maybe they did forget about me, maybe they didn't. They're sure as hell gonna remember me now.
- Victor Coste: [From trailer]
- Victor Coste: Understand this: the Sam Fisher you knew is dead, and we're the ones who killed him. We asked too much, pushed him too far, took away everything he had. And they tell ya what? It's all part of the job... Back when I knew Sam in the Gulf, he was different. He was never the sunniest guy around, but he was human, he was part of the team. *We* were a team. Sam trusts me, and I believe in his conviction. Anything he needs, I'll get it for him. They made him what he is: fixer, killer, the answer to all the questions you don't want to ask. But he's off the leash and goin' after answers. I know what he wants... and right now I'm glad I'm not you.
- Sam Fisher: I don't get the gun?
- Anna Grimsdottir: Here. Just make sure to aim it at the right people.
- Sam Fisher: [Pointing the gun at Anna] Oh I will...
- Victor Coste: Nice... my kids don't draw me pictures, or write or anything.
- SEAL: They don't write 'cause you can't read, man.
- Victor Coste: Laugh it up, but when I get outta here...
- Sam Fisher: Heh, you're going to kindergarten.
- SEAL: Ya know I hear they got entrance exams in kindergarten now, Sam. I don't know if Vic is gonna make it in.
- Guard: But boss, what if he climbs through the window?
- Andrei Kobin: Then you shoot him! What kind of fucking stupid question is that? Let's get this straight: nobody is going anywhere until Fisher is dead. Until he shows up all you gotta do is shut up and get ready to shoot. Are we clear?
- Guard: Yeah, boss...
- Andrei Kobin: I said SHUT UP!
- Victor Coste: The thing you have to understand is this: the Sam Fisher you knew is dead. America killed him, asked him to make one sacrifice too many, cross one line too far. A drunk driver killed him, some anonymous asshole who ran down his daughter and vanished. And she was the one thing that humanized him. And his agency killed him, set him up, turned him loose and told him to pull the trigger on his best friend in a dirty New York City basement. Irving Lambert died by Sam's hand that day... and so did Sam. So he left. He left America, left the life he knew, left mom and apple pie, left it all behind. He hopped off the grid and went walkabout, looking for a reason to go on living.
- Sam Fisher: Do not lie to me about this or I'll kill you. Do you understand? I. Will. Kill. You.
- Anna Grimsdottir: Sam, I've been lying to you about this for years.
- Sam Fisher: [Bashing the head of the terrorist against the wall] You're definitely are gonna have to pay for sex from now on.
- Receptionist: [Into Earpiece] I'm sorry, we're closing the office early for some routine maintenance. Please try again tomorrow. Thank you!
- [to Fisher]
- Receptionist: I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid the office is closed for the evening.
- Sam Fisher: I'm here to see Tom Reed.
- Receptionist: Mister Reed is currently unavailable, but if you would like to make an appointment Mister...
- Sam Fisher: Fisher. I used to work here.
- [Detonates C4]
- Sarah Fisher: I don't like the dark, it's scary. Turn on the light for me please?
- Sam Fisher: C'mon sweetie, there's nothing to be afraid of in the dark. Sometimes darkness is a good thing, Like, when you want to go to sleep.
- Sarah Fisher: I could go to sleep with the light on.
- Sam Fisher: When it's light, you can't see into a place that's dark, but when its dark, you can see what's around you much better.
- Sarah Fisher: Really?
- Sam Fisher: Really. So if there's monsters or bad people around, you can see them. And if you're in the dark, they can't see you.
- Sarah Fisher: I can't see you either, can you please turn the light back on?
- Sam Fisher: Okay, then how about this? There's one really cool thing I didn't show you yet.
- Sarah Fisher: There is? Show me!
- Sam Fisher: Okay, here it is: when you're in the dark and your eyes get used to it you can see all sorts of things around you really well, and then you can do stuff with them.
- Sarah Fisher: Like what?
- Sam Fisher: Well take a look at your mobile. You can see it really well right? If there were monsters standing underneath it, because I can see it, maybe I could make it fall on them and they'd go away.
- Sarah Fisher: And it would fall on their heads and they wouldn't be bad anymore?
- Sam Fisher: That's my girl.
- [Glass shatters elsewhere in the house]
- Sarah Fisher: Daddy what was that?
- Sam Fisher: Shh. Daddy needs you to stay in bed now. Okay? He's gonna shut the door and be back real soon alright?
- Sarah Fisher: Okay daddy I love...
- Sam Fisher: Shh, stay in bed.
