To add to the series sense of outrageous fiction, all episodes produced in what the producers called 16:7½ aspect ratio. The format was entirely fictional, and in reality it was achieved by adding additional letter-boxing to the regular anamorphic 16:9 aspect ratio. Effectively this created a 16:7 aspect ratio, but 16:7½ sounded better when promoting the show. This additional masking created a lot of difficulty for the segment producers, photographers and editors, as they had to mask off their cameras and editing monitors, to ensure that content stayed within the boundaries of the fictional format.
