Don’t expect to see Dylan Minnette on your television screens any time soon. The 13 Reasons Why star opened up about his decision to step away from his acting career in order to redirect his passion toward music in a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show.
“I was very fortunate to find success in it,” Minnette said of acting. “We’ve always worked a ton, and then I was on 13 Reasons Why, and it was really popular and definitely reached a peak in what I’ve had in acting.

Happy Model day! On Friday, Wallows released their third studio album Model, and celebrated its drop by sharing the video for the LP’s standout, “You (Show Me Where My Days Went).”
The Nina Ljeti-directed video sees the trio — Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston — throwing paint on walls, ripping off wallpaper, and demolishing the inside of an apartment, but with the destruction playing in reverse. At the start, the three guys stand inside a completely damaged apartment, and as the video continues, the room returns to its original state.

Sometimes, in life, certain people can’t help but be working late because they’re singers. And sometimes, on very rare occasions, their give a fucks go on vacation, and they have no choice but to Mountain Dew it for you. All three of these things happened to Wallows when they stopped by SiriusXM’s Alt Nation to perform an acoustic version of Sabrina Carpenter’s caffeinated pop hit “Espresso.”
But Wallows’ take on “Espresso” wasn’t a straightforward cover. Toward the end of the song, the band — made up of Dylan Minnette,...

“We are so excited to have you here and are blown away this is even happening,” I signed off on a hasty call to Coop Vidéo de Montréal, setting up an interview with Robert Morin, a French-Canadian director who had taken on mythic proportions to myself and co-programmer Sean Price Williams. Coop is the illustrious production company Robert Morin established in the late ’70s to spearhead the production of his unique, beyond-characterization catalogue of films.
Morin, 74, has directed 15 feature films (that I know of) and over 50 shorts, all of which have stunning power and humor and trace the journeys of outsiders who revel in their own independence.
A fierce defender of individuality and pure expression, Morin remains a staunch representative of his Quebecois heritage, one of those artists that eschew all attempts of categorization as “not enough” or “too meager.” This is a man so capable of expressing his identity...

The boys of Wallows promised arena rock on their new album Model — and they are sticking to their word. On Monday, the alt-rock band announced tour dates in the United States and Europe for their upcoming Model World Tour, which includes stops at NYC’s Madison Square Garden and LA’s Kia Forum.
“I can confidently say this is the first time that I’m really anticipating a tour announcement,” Dylan Minnette told Variety as they announced their tour dates, which include stops in Las Vegas, Boston, and San Diego.

Their album isn’t out yet, but the boys of Wallows are ready to play it live. In arenas.
Rolling Stone can exclusively announce that Wallows — the alt-rock band made up of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston — will release its third album Model on May 24. On the 12-track LP, the trio lets go of the “anxious tendencies” of their past music, resulting in what they believe is their lightest project yet.

In an effort to defend trans rights in the United States, the U.K., and Canada, dozens of artists have recorded cover songs for a new compilation that will raise money for organizations in those countries. Joanna Sternberg recorded Caroline Rose’s “Everywhere I Go I Bring the Rain,” Rostam interpreted Lucinda Williams’ “Change the Locks,” Wednesday took on Elliott Smith’s “Christian Brothers,” and Model/Actriz perform the Ting Tings’ “That’s Not My Name” on the 44-track Fader + Friends Vol. 1 compilation available on Bandcamp for one month, starting today.

Kellyanne Conway and the Fox News “Big Weekend Show” crew gushed over Martha Stewart’s appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – which inspired the former Donald Trump senior advisor to do some revealing of her own.
“I think she looks hot!” Conway said on Saturday’s edition. “And good for her for doing that, good for Sports Illustrated for putting her on one of the four covers … the old saying is true – now that I’m an old lady I want to say it – ‘Youth is wasted on the young.'”
Host Will Cain was talking about “The Golden Bachelor” coming to ABC this fall when he segued to the Si cover, making Stewart the oldest model to grace the cover in history.
Thrilled to be on cover of the @SI_Swimsuit issue! I hope this cover inspires you to challenge yourself to try new things. Pick up on newsstands May 18th!

Exclusive: A story about a Fiji surf paradise gone wrong by David Kushner, the journalist behind A24’s Zola, is to be turned into a documentary.
Kushner has penned Paradise Lost for Vanity Fair and the story is now being adapted by Anchor Entertainment, the production company behind HBO’s Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall, and Vanity Fair Studios.
The story follows Navrin, Woody, and Jona – two Aussie surfer bros and their local partner – who thought they’d found their own little slice of paradise in Fiji. That was until the deep-pocketed Chinese developer set up shop next door and started digging up the reef offshore. Then a Silicon Valley-backed scientist who swears he can build the perfect surf break got involved and the whole place became a stopover for the pandemic-era megayacht set.
The doc will be exec produced by Kushner, Ethan Goldman and Dan Baglio for Anchor Entertainment,...

Avril Mathie shows off her ripped physique while playing beach volleyball. Pic credit: @avrilmathie/Instagram
Professional boxer Avril Mathie is an Australian-born mix of beauty and brawn, and has a huge social media following, where she shows off her workouts, fitness tips, and a little bit of fun, too.
The former Miss Swimsuit USA reminds followers of how she won that title when she went for a jog Friday in Miami in her workout wear.
Avril is now based in Miami, which means she is living an outdoor beach life, which includes tons of opportunities to share her training but also to show off her sensational figure.
Avril wore a light gray spaghetti strap sports bra, accentuating her curves and also showing off her toned abs, the result of her hardcore conditioning.
She donned dark gray ribbed workout shorts for her time outside, which highlighted her sensational figure.

(Welcome to ...And More, our no-frills, zero B.S. guide to when and where you can watch upcoming movies and shows, and everything else you could possibly stand to know.)
Thanks to Mike Flanagan, I've come to associate the annual spooky season with the arrival of his latest Netflix horror series, starting with "The Haunting of Hill House" in 2018 and carrying on to "The Haunting of Bly Manor" and "Midnight Mass." That trend will continue in 2022 with "The Midnight Club," but it's far from the only Halloween treat from the streamer this year. There's also "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities," a horror anthology show uniting the talents of the "Pan's Labyrinth" filmmaker with those of many other revered horror storytellers.
"Each of the episodes has a whole world. They present you with different delights." So says del Toro in the "Cabinet of Curiosities" first-look. It's a statement that...
