10. Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing (1987)
Dirty Dancing is one of those movies that actually move people to write “most iconic movie couples” lists; not that we’re speaking from experience, of course. The sheer tension and dynamic between Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey gave an entire generation their idea of the perfect couple energy, and they looked stunning together.
9. Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
The touching and infinitely warm story told by Sleepless in Seattle captivated viewers around the world, but it was the chemistry between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan that really made it so great. The two stars famously have an amazing relationship and worked together on many movies, fueling fans’ hopes; albeit, they were just friends.

This weekend, the box office looked more like a Wasteland than the fruitful Green Place of Many Mothers.
“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” underperformed in its box office debut with $25.6 million between Friday and Sunday and an estimated $31 million through Memorial Day on Monday. Instead of ruling the box office as expected, it’s in a shockingly close race for first place with Sony’s animated “The Garfield Movie,” which collected $24.8 million over the weekend and an estimated $31 million through the four days. Neither could salvage the holiday weekend, which is the worst it’s been in nearly three decades.
It wasn’t just domestic audiences that failed to show up for “Furiosa.” The fifth entry in director George Miller’s post-apocalyptic series, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, is stalling at the international box office with $33.3 million from 75 territories, bringing its worldwide tally to $58.9 million. Kai Cenat is on a roll. After completing a marathon playthrough of the notoriously difficult video game Elden Ring, Cenat kept his hot streak going when he drew 400,000 viewers for a collab with actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
Hart teased his appearance on Cenat’s stream one month before the broadcast’s go-live date. He promised “big things” for the collab, and he did not disappoint Cenat’s 10.7 million Twitch followers. During a broadcast that lasted nearly four hours, Hart and Cenat presented comedic “gifts” and matched each other’s high-key energy. The affinity between the two entertainers comes as no surprise; Cenat, who has serious Hollywood ambitions, has been described as a Kevin Hart for the internet age.
Hart is not the first celebrity to appear alongside Cenat on his popular Twitch channel, and the streaming star is making sure to provide plenty more entertaining broadcasts for his ever-growing audience.

Back in 2012, the world saw the first film, based on Suzanne Collins’ dystopian novels. Since then, The Hunger Games fever has swept all cinema lovers, especially ones of the younger generation, and marked the new era of dystopian movie franchises.
It has also given rise to a number of attempts to mock all these authoritarian fictional worlds and their frightening rules, with one movie of this kind definitely standing out among all of them. Even though it was released 4 years ago and fell victim to the pandemic’s limitations, it’s still heatedly discussed by Redditors.
Its plot revolves around twelve people who wake up in a strange remote place unaware of where they ended up and how. It turns out they were kidnapped by a group of crazy elites to hunt them for fun. However, their game is about to be turned down by one of the hunted who...

Quarterly losses shrank at Lionsgate and revenues climbed as the company’s television business rebounded from the twin strikes that had shut down production for much of 2023.
Revenue at the company behind “The Hunger Games” and “John Wick” franchises topped out at $1.12 billion for the three-month period ending in March, up from $1.08 billion in the prior-year quarter. Lionsgate also reported a net loss attributable to shareholder of $39.5 million, which compared favorably to the prior-year quarterly losses of $96.8 million. It recorded a loss of 22 cent per-share for the period. In the year-ago quarter, Lionsgate had per-share losses of 42 cents. Lionsgate’s revenues beat Wall Street estimates of $1.11 billion.
The earnings report comes after Lionsgate Studios debuted as a standalone public entity on May 14, trading as a single class of stock under the Nasdaq ticker symbol Lion — a step toward the full separation of its studio business and Starz. Through the merger...

Lionsgate has released its first quarterly financial results since completing a spinoff of its studio business into a separately traded stock.
The Hollywood studio posted a fourth quarter net loss attributable to shareholder at $39.5 million, compared to a year-earlier $96.8 million loss, on overall revenue rising to $1.117 billion, against a year-earlier 1.08 billion.
That beat a Wall Street analyst estimate of $1.11 billion in overall revenues by $7 million for the latest quarter. Lionsgate posted an earnings per-share loss of 22 cents, compared to a year-earlier per-share loss of 42 cents.
Starz, which continues to drive into the digital space, ended the fourth quarter with 19.35 million domestic subscribers on cable, satellite and streaming platforms, down from 19.73 million customers at the end of the third quarter of fiscal 2024, due to a decline in linear TV customers. The company could resort to a lawsuit to try and keep NBA rights, but if it loses them it will have an extra $1.2 billion per year to spend.
The ball is about to head to Warner Bros. Discovery’s court. The company could face a big decision in the coming days, as reports circulated Wednesday that the NBA is about to leave Wbd’s cable channel TNT in favor of a new broadcasting deal with Comcast and NBC starting in 2025. Wbd has a complex set of matching rights in its current contract, and could even try to sue to retain its NBA package, but if it does end up losing the Association, it will have to consider what to do with the $1.2 billion per season it has been paying the league since 2014, and the even more billions that it was planning in spending moving forward. When The Witcher returns to Netflix with its fourth and penultimate season, it will be with a new actor playing Geralt of Rivia. As we're sure you're aware, Henry Cavill left the series shortly after season 3, with The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth tapped to replace him soon after.
While we've spotted Hemsworth in set photos, an official look at the Australian actor in the role has been shared by Entertainment Weekly (via SFFGazette.com).
That's accompanied by a teaser which we've also included below. It doesn't reveal much but is a suitably moody glimpse at what's to come which points to the actor being a decent successor to the Man of Steel star.
"His look has been in development for over a year, so it’s thrilling to finally share an official sneak peek of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia," The Witcher showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich tells them.

The first teaser for "The Witcher" season 4 is here, and Netflix clearly knows exactly what fans want to see: Geralt 2.0, newly recast as Liam Hemsworth.
News broke back in 2022 that "Hunger Games" actor Hemsworth was set to step into the role of monster-hunting legend Geralt of Rivia for the series' fourth season, and since then, fans have been waiting eagerly to catch a glimpse of Hemsworth's take on the hero. After watching the minute-long teaser below, we can confirm that he looks, well, kind of like Henry Cavill's Geralt. The promo takes the term "teaser" literally, showing plenty of footage of Geralt leading his horse through a pond before finally showing us his new face. The landscape is shadowy and blue, and we see several shots of the hero and his steed from different angles before, at the end, he turns around to face the viewer.

Attention, “The Witcher” fans: A new Geralt of Rivia has officially arrived, courtesy of Netflix’s first look at Season 4 of its popular fantasy series. The image unveils Liam Hemsworth as Geralt for the first time. Henry Cavill played the character during the first three seasons of “The Witcher,” and “The Hunger Games” veteran is now taking over the part for the final two seasons.
Netflix shocked “The Witcher” fans in October 2022 when it announced Cavill would be departing the show after the third season, which aired in summer 2023 in two parts. Cavill’s exit coincided with news that he would be returning to the DC Universe on the big screen as Superman, although the announcement was premature as plans for his Man of Steel return for eventually nixed.

X-Men ‘97 has left fans more excited than ever before to see a live-action take on the mutant team. Movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and The Marvels have offered a glimpse of what the heroes could look like in the MCU, with Deadpool & Wolverine set to do the same later this summer.
The difference there, though, is that those are the 20th Century Fox Variants of the X-Men; what Marvel Studios does with its long-awaited reboot will surely be completely different. And, if X-Men ‘97 is any indication, we’re in store for something truly special (the series has been praised for its compelling take on the heroes and the way their powers have been portrayed in new and visually distinct ways).

Exclusive: Following the success of its animated series X-Men ’97, Marvel Studios is now ramping things up on its live-action X-Men movie with Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes scribe Michael Lesslie in negotiations to pen the movie. The film is still in early development with no talent or director attached and no release date set. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will produce.
As Deadline reported last fall, this project became one of the first major writing assignments to open up once the writers strike had been resolved. Feige and his execs made it clear there was no rush and have taken their time meeting with numerous candidates since then. Late last week, the decision was made to go with Lesslie. It’s been almost ten years since The Hunger Games’ last installment hit the cinemas, but nobody from the main cast has been left in the shadows ever since.
Though Suzanne Collins’ widely famous franchise is expanding its universe and has recently got a brand new ramification titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the original movies are still a frequent binge-watch choice for many fans craving some nostalgia from the past years.
Back in the day, The Hunger Games was a huge success garnering more than $3 billion in total, and it definitely came as a big moment of fame for the franchise’s leading actors whose careers later on skyrocketed for good.
Years after the movie trilogy came to its end, all of them are still doing pretty good.

Director and showrunner Mike Flanagan has always been a "listener" when understanding the human condition.
While his genre of choice has been horror, and primarily psychological horror at that, he has made a career out of listening to what people have to say about religion, guilt, insanity, and death.
He is as much a spiritual guru as a movie director.
Even from his early works, like Absentia and Oculus, one could see Flanagan as a visionary and an interactive designer, determined to deliver the audience an experience they crafted, a game, a nightmare they could vicariously live through archetypical characters.
He became even more crowd-pleaser with his first two ghostly mini-series, The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
These epic haunted tales blurred the lines between guilt and fear.

Stephen King's books that have not yet been adapted fall into three groups: "no one tried to adapt it," "someone tried but couldn't adapt it," and "someone is trying to adapt it right now."
The Long Walk is just one of those books, and it belongs to both the second and third categories. Stephen King himself considers it to be one of his best novels. The author created it as a student, but could not publish it for a long time.
What is The Long Walk About?
The characters in The Long Walk live in an alternative future America. Once upon a time there was a global catastrophe, but the author deliberately hides the details from us. It is now a police state ruled by a dictator known as the Major.
On his initiative, a survival game is held every year – 100 young men, accompanied by military personnel, set out on a certain route.

Note: All movies on this list have 0% Critic Scores, Audience Scores of below 20%, and were released in the last 10 years.
10. Bedeviled (2016)
An idea of mixing together good old supernatural entities and modern mobile apps sounded good on paper — but the execution turned out disastrous. Bedeviled relied on its somewhat amusing premise too much to care about not incorporating every teen horror cliche you could think of, so no wonder only 20% of viewers liked it.
9. Cold Blood (2019)
A reclusive hitman finds an injured woman near his isolated house in the woods and risks everything to save her. Despite having Jean Reno as its lead actor, Cold Blood fails to create compelling characters or story and as a mystery thriller, it provides neither mystery nor thrills. Only 18% of viewers found this movie worthy of a positive review.

Julianne Moore says the film industry has “changed dramatically” since she started out in the early 1990s when it comes to female representation.
Speaking as part of Kering’s Women in Motion program at the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar winner said one of the most noticeable differences is when it comes to career longevity for actresses.
“Meryl [Streep] said this too the other day [during the festival’s opening ceremony], this idea that when she was 40, she thought it was all going to be over,” she said. “I think we’re now seeing women represented through all stages of their lives, which is very exciting.”
In the conversation, moerated by Variety senior entertainment writer Angelique Jackson, Moore noted that she is now seeing not just more female directors, but more women working as camera operators, grips and in the electric department. “Whereas before there were none,” she said. “But we’re still really far from gender parity.

More photos from the set of The Witcher season 4 have been shared online, and this time we have an actual first glimpse of Liam Hemsworth suited-up as Geralt of Rivia!
The recent third season of Netflix's fantasy adventure series was original Geralt actor Henry Cavill's last, as the Man of Steel star announced his decision to part ways with the streamer's adaptation of the best-selling novels back in 2022.
Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) will take over as the titular monster hunter from season 4 on, and a recent photo from the set featured his stunt-double Joel Adrian in-costume. Adrian looked enough like Hemsworth to fool a lot of people, but these snaps spotlight the man himself.
The photos show Hemsworth as Geralt doing battle with Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu), and appear to be recreating a scene from season 3 which saw the mage emerge victorious. There is also one shot of Geralt...

When Netflix launched "The Witcher" back in 2019, it was the streamer's attempt to kickoff a big fantasy franchise on the level with "Game of Thrones" or "Lord of the Rings." The move made sense. After all, not only are the "Witcher" video games very popular, but the Andrzej Sapkowski books they're based on offer a unique and different perspective on fantasy than other mainstream titles thanks to their Slavic mythology influence. This means the "Witcher" TV series and its spinoffs have a lot of rich source material to take inspiration from and change as they deem fit (something the main "Witcher" show has done a lot in the past). Netflix's "The Witcher" was also a huge hit, with the first season gifting us a viral hit song in "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga has sounded off on two hot topics.
Melissa stopped by Watch What Happens Live last night to dish about all things Rhonj and more.
In true Andy Cohen fashion, he couldn’t help but stir the pot with a couple of his questions for Melissa and his other guest, Meghan McCain.
There was certainly no shortage of topics for Andy to bring up with Melissa.
However, one that has been making headlines lately has been Jackie Goldschneider dumping Melissa and Margaret Josephs for Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin.
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will see the shift play out, but Melissa has addressed the topic now.
Rhonj’s Melissa Gorga sounds off on Jackie Goldschneider fallout
Andy asked via a fan question where Melissa stands with Jackie following all the Rhonj Season 14 chaos.

While it may feel like The Hunger Games franchise just arrived on Netflix, it will be leaving the streamer at the end of the month. Jackie Goldschneider has slammed her The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars, claiming the division has ruined the franchise.
Season 14 of Rhonj just kicked off, but it’s no secret the cast is divided now more than ever.
Cast members are either Team Melissa Gorga or Team Teresa Giudice, which, to be honest, is how it’s been for years.
However, the cast division is worse since Teresa isn’t speaking to Melissa or her husband Joe Gorga.
Jackie was Team Melissa forever, but during filming for Season 14, she changed alliances, reigniting her friendship with Teresa and Jennifer Aydin.
Hot on the heels of Margaret Josephs calling Jackie an “ingrate,” the latter has gotten real about working on the show now amid a split cast.

Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) will take over as Geralt of Rivia from season 4 on, and a new photo from the season 4 set gives us a first look at the updated costume the actor will don for the role.

Up until 2023, The Witcher was one of the best book-based storylines ever transformed into a live-action series, and one of the biggest reasons behind its tremendous success was Henry Cavill’s effortless performance as the Geralt of Rivia. But then Cavill was replaced, with Liam Hemsworth becoming the new protagonist of the lore — though not without earning much backlash from fans.
The Witcher.
That being said, one of the actors from the saga, Freya Allan, seems to be quite bothered with the hate Hemsworth has been getting ever since he was announced to be the new White Wolf, even though he hasn’t even performed as the character yet. The 2000s saw the action genre in a state of flux. The Matrix revolutionized everything at the end of the previous decade, The Bourne Supremacy would make shaky cameras standard practice in 2004, and the MCU would take flight with Iron Man in 2008. At the same time, Michael Bay reached his ultimate form with Bad Boys II, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Kill Bill made kung fu classy, and Oldboy changed the way we look at hallways.
Within those changes came a host of greats that didn’t get the same attention. Some of these movies represent the first steps in the development of those who would define the genre, such as Scott Adkins and Gareth Evans. Some find stars at the height of the powers, such as Donny Yen and Michael Jai White. And some are just cool, because that’s really all an action movie needs.

Ryan Gosling’s recently released film, The Fall Guy, has put Taylor Swift’s music in the 2024 movie and people are confused. With the film based on stuntmen and women who risk their lives every day for 2 minutes of action on-screen, a Taylor Swift song seems out of the blue.
But the music supervisor and producer Kelly McCormick (who’s a Swiftie) talked about the song’s importance in the film and how it plays out. Having Gosling as the sacrificial stuntman in the film who loses all, a Swift song from her album Red seems perfect.

The contender to watch this week: “Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg”
No, this isn’t a “Hunger Games” sequel. Anita Pallenberg was an actress, a New York It Girl, and a denizen of Andy Warhol’s Factory, but she is best known as an associate of the Rolling Stones. She dated founder Brian Jones and, later, guitarist Keith Richards, with whom she had three children. Some people have called her the band’s muse. Pallenberg’s life was not always as glamorous as it sounds, though, and directors Alexis Bloom and Svetlana Zill mine her highs and lows for a compelling...
