In the antiques museum scene, there's Indiana Jones' whip frozen in Carbonite visible in the shot when Mon Mothma looks at her new driver from the back room.
Cassian mentions fighting on Mimban when he was 16. This conflict was seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) (although Cassian serving as a cook was not seen) and took place in 10 BBY (ten years before the battle of Yavin). This lines up with Cassian Andor's age being stated as 26 in the 2016 guidebook "Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide".
This episode marks Genevieve O'Reilly's third live-action performance as the Rebel Alliance leader Mon Mothma. O'Reilly first played the character in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005), notably in a scene in which she and other senators were discussing the formation of the Rebellion. This scene was cut from the film, but was included in the "Deleted scenes" section of the DVD/Blu-ray. She then reappeared in the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), as leader of the Rebel Alliance on Yavin IV, which takes place almost two decades after the events of "Revenge of the Sith". The "Andor" series is set approximately five years before the events of "Rogue One". O'Reilly has also voiced the character in episodes of the animated series Star Wars: Rebels (2014).
The character of Mon Mothma was first played by Caroline Blakiston in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

The Rakatan invasion is mentioned by Luthen when referring to the crystal he gives Andor as a down payment. This species was a part of Star Wars Legends and first appeared in the game Knights of the Old Republic. They were said to have been around tens of thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin and were great interplanetary builders. This is the first mention of them in the new Star Wars canon.
The Brunswick Centre in London was used as the filming location for the Coruscant Apartment. It was digitally enhanced in post-production to make it appear much bigger.
