- A man asks a woman if she has any speed. She gives him some drugs and he leaves.
- The series is set in a society where heavy cigarette smoking was not merely normal and socially acceptable but was considered cool. Many of the main characters smoke cigarettes constantly.
- 2 characters are heroin addicts, graphic use/consumption is seen
- Many party scenes throughout the series feature characters consuming large amounts of alcohol.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- While the show has a lot of comedic moments in it, the overall plot touches on intense themes of child abuse, class struggle, and drug addiction. Sid Vicious's erratic and problematic antics also result in a series of misfortunes and tragedy.
