Tina Fey, the American actress known for “Saturday Night Live,” “Mean Girls,” “30 Rock,” and “Date Night,” stands at 5 feet 4 ½ inches (163.8 cm). This information comes directly from Fey, who corrected a common misconception about her height in an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, saying, “The Internet says I’m 5-foot-2. And I’m 5-4 and a half.”
She also mentioned her height in Glam in 2008. For context, the average American woman is around 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm). Therefore, Fey’s height is just slightly above this average, aligning her closely with the height of many American women.

Jane Fonda has taken to social media to remember her longtime “bestie” Paula Weinstein, who died on March 25 at 78 years old, as well as share how people can honor her late friend.
“I’Ve Lost My Bestie, Paula Weinstein. Paula was everything a friend should be — to me and to so many people. I’ve been sitting Shivah in her NY apartment with so many people who also think of her as their best friend and I’m feeling jealous, to be honest,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram on Thursday. “Paula could make all of us laugh harder than anyone else could. She was always good for a real belly laugh.”
Weinstein was a longtime Tribeca executive and producer who worked on dozens of projects throughout her career, including The Fabulous Baker Boys, The Perfect Storm, Analyze This and Grace and Frankie.

Weinstein died at her home in New York, her daughter, Hannah Rosenberg, told The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death was revealed.
“The world is a lesser place without my mother,” Rosenberg said in a statement. “She was a masterful producer and a force of nature for the things she believed in, including the many projects that spanned her illustrious career, the stories she fought to tell and the social justice causes she championed.”
In September, Weinstein exited Tribeca Enterprises, which she joined as executive vp in 2013, to work on political campaigns. She earlier was a vp at Warner Bros., an executive vp at 20th Century Fox and president of United Artists.

The two big original releases on Netflix this month are Spaceman and 3 Body Problem. In Spaceman, Adam Sandler plays an astronaut alone and far from home who desperately wants to fix things with his wife. When he discovers an enormous alien spider in the bowels of his ship, a conversation between the two gets underway, and Sandler has a chance to make some big changes. To be clear: this is not a comedy!
Meanwhile, new sci-fi series 3 Body Problem hails from Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Along with True Blood writer Alexander Woo, they’ve spun a tale that is set to blow your mind this March. Your mileage may vary, but it certainly looks interesting! And hey, we all love the show’s star, Benedict Wong.

Hailing from Apple Studios, the new series is created by Tropper who will serve as showrunner and executive producer under his overall deal with Apple TV+. Jon Hamm is getting his own Apple show — finally!
The Emmy-winning Mad Men grad, who previously “begged” Apple for a show of his own in a tongue-in-cheek ad for the streamer, will star in and exec produce the straight-to-series Apple drama Your Friends and Neighbors. The role marks Hamm’s first starring role in an ongoing drama series since AMC’s Mad Men wrapped its seven-season run in 2015.
Your Friends and Neighbors, based on an original idea by Jonathan Tropper (See, Warrior, Banshee), revolves around Coop (Hamm), a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat. The petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.

It’s a full-blown holiday Hamm-aissance. Jon Hamm will next star in Apple TV+’s new drama series “Your Friends and Neighbors,” which he’ll also executive produce. The show is based on an idea from Jonathan Tropper, who is also showrunner on the project.

After directing three “Night at the Museum” movies, Shawn Levy didn’t want to be confined to directing family comedies for the rest of his career. If you’re doing something successfully, he told IndieWire, it’s easy to be “pigeonholed” by Hollywood into that one thing.
But he’s been far from limited under the banner of his own production company, 21 Laps. Levy and his company have been prolific hit-makers since it launched in 2006, and he has produced and directed everything from indie darlings (“The Spectacular Now”), ambitious Best Picture nominees (“Arrival”), studio blockbuster satires (“Free Guy“), prestige limited series (“All the Light We Cannot See”), Stephen King horror movies (“The Boogeyman”), and the biggest Netflix show ever (“Stranger Things”), all of which depart from the family-friendly event movies on which he cut his teeth.
“You need to refuse to be limited by everyone else’s assumptions,” Levy told IndieWire during a recent interview.

"The windshield wiper blade starts to squeak. The rain has stopped." Don't forget your seatbelt. Enjoy this mesmerizing supercut video featuring "Adam Driver Driving". Edited by the talented Luís Azevedo, this supercut was released by Little White Lies and is meant to be a tie-in with the upcoming release of Ferrari. Believe it or not, 39-year-old actor Adam Driver has been in tons of films where he's driving. This features footage from: "Girls", White Noise, The Dead Don't Die, House of Gucci, This Is Where I Leave You, Logan Lucky, Paterson, While We're Young, and BlacKkKlansman. I love that he includes one of his poems from Paterson (one of my all-time faves) and the way he integrates the back-and-forth Gucci convo. Hilarious. Another great supercut from Azevedo, always editing some of the best cinema videos on YouTube nowadays. // Continue Reading ›...

“A Man Called Otto” (Sony/$14.99) was a flop as an adult-appeal awards contender, but it came out on top of VOD charts the week before the Oscars. Challenging its dominance is a strong performance by “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” (Crunchyroll/$9.99), which took #1 at Google Play while “Otto” led at Vudu and iTunes.
Netflix has an eye-popping nine theatrical releases on its top 10, including six studio sequels. Among those are four separate “Hunger Games” franchise entries, despite those films spending years in constant basic-cable rotation.
Neither “Otto” nor “Dragon” spent much time at a premium price. Sony quickly dropped the price of “Otto” from its initial $19.99. “Dragon,” from the Sony-owned Japanese anime label Crunchyroll, was introduced as a $9.99 purchase. It opened in U.S. theaters last August, the same week that “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village” opened to over $10 million.

The Pogues ruled the Netflix English-language TV charts once again. Outer Banks Season 3 reigned over the Top 10 for the second week in a row from February 27 to March 5.

March is a time for madness, whether it comes from basketball, Mercury retrograde, or a person’s home streaming habits. Netflix joins in on the chaos by updating its library with all three “Hangover” movies, a whole lot of workout content, “Magic Mike Xxl,” and much, much more.
On March 9, the streamer will premiere Part 2 of “You” Season 2, starring Penn Badgley, Charlotte Ritchie, and Ed Speleers. The five remaining episodes find Joe (Badgley) trapped in a volatile dance with London mayoral candidate and serial killer Rhys (Speleers), trying to prevent more murders but also not go down for the many he’s committed in the process. The trailer shows Joe and Kate (Ritchie) growing closer, more brushes with Kate’s wealthy socialite friends, and the return of Victoria Pedretti as Joe’s wife Love — or maybe the ghost of his wife, and of sins past.

Shawn Levy is a busy man. As a director, his credits stretch back to the 1990s and include everything from family friendly movies like "Big Fat Liar" and "Night at the Museum" to less family friendly movies like "This Is Where I Leave You" and, uh, that's pretty much it, actually. From "Real Steel" to "Date Night" and "The Adam Project," most of Levy's filmography is considered pretty safe, if not deeply snarky, viewing for the whole family. Well, for everyone 13 and up, at least. It's a lucrative cinematic window that statistically ticks the most boxes but it can also be incredibly limiting for certain stories ... and Levy knows this all too well.
While Levy has yet to direct anything near as hard R-rated as the first two "Deadpool" movies (even the R-rated "This Is Where I Leave You" is pretty tame compared to a Ryan Reynolds superhero franchise...

It’s been a decade since Lena Dunham was the voice of her generation. Or, well, a voice of a generation.
HBO series “Girls” revolutionized the TV landscape when it premiered on April 15, 2012. The series, created by Dunham, who also starred in, executive-produced, wrote, and directed the show, first debuted at SXSW before its TV premiere and eventual five Emmy Award nominations that year. Jenni Konner served as co-showrunner and producer while Judd Apatow also executive produced.
“Girls” stars Dunham as 20-something struggling writer Hannah Horvath, who has one foot in adolescence thanks to an allowance from her parents. After she’s informed she’s been financially cut off two years after graduating from a liberal arts college, Hannah embarks on navigating New York City by experiencing one mistake at a time.
Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, and Allison Williams play Hannah’s eccentric and at times codependent circle of friends.

“The Adam Project” is not the first time-travel movie to tell the audience they shouldn’t bother trying to work out the rules of the science behind the premise, but it is unabashed in its focus on emotion over the cerebral nature of the sci-fi plot. And as director Shawn Levy told TheWrap in a recent interview, that was the entire reason he wanted to make the movie in the first place.
A version of “The Adam Project” has been in development for nearly a decade, with Tom Cruise at one point attached to star in the story of a man who travels back in time and teams up with his childhood self and his since-departed father to save the future. When asked what finally shifted this project out of development hell with Levy at the helm and Ryan Reynolds in the starring role, the filmmaker was candid.

For its list of new releases of February 2022, HBO Max is bringing back one of its biggest original series.
The Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi epic Raised by Wolves helped launch HBO Max back in 2020 and now it’s finally back for another season. Raised by Wolves season 2 premieres with three episodes on Feb. 3. This season will continue the conflict between future atheists and theists on a remote planet, while two androids raise some kids.
February 2022 also sees the end of another, more recent HBO Max hit. Peacemaker airs its finale on Feb. 17. Thankfully that same day sees the premiere of another exciting original. Dream Raider is a Mandarin-language sci-fi thriller that carries some big Inception vibes.
There aren’t many original movies of note this month, but there are a lot of recent hits coming to HBO Max as library titles. Nightmare Alley arrives on Feb. 1, followed by The Many Saints of Newark on Feb.

Ryan Reynolds must have enjoyed working with director Shawn Levy on Free Guy, because the two are now set to team up on a time travel action-comedy, which given Levy’s track record, will no doubt be an effects-heavy blockbuster designed with a family audience in mind.
Now firmly established as one of the biggest movie stars in the world, Reynolds also seems to be making a play to feature in as many big budget projects as possible, and hasn’t starred in anything that cost less than $50 million to produce since 2016’s forgotten action thriller Criminal. While their latest team-up doesn’t have an official title as of yet, the concept has been kicking around Hollywood for close to a decade. In fact, back in 2012, Tom Cruise was circling the idea when it was called Our Name is Adam.

Did you know that the 1970s TV show “Kung Fu” was based on an uncredited pitch by Bruce Lee? According to Lee’s widow, Warner Brothers liked (and poached) his idea of a martial arts master wandering the American West but passed him over for the lead role in favor of David Carradine. Warner Brothers claims they’d already had the concept for “Kung Fu” in the works when Lee proposed his own series (called “The Warrior”) to the studio in 1971. Warrior is a period crime drama inspired by the writings and work of martial arts icon Bruce Lee that is set during the brutal Tong Wars in San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 1800s.

He’s on the lam from a powerful crime lord, but while he’s the top brass in town, he imposes his own brand of justice and practices crime. HBO has given a series order to the comedy “Mrs. Fletcher,” Variety has learned.
The premium cabler originally ordered the project to pilot back in April. The series is described as a dual coming-of-age story, exploring the impact of internet porn and social media on the lives of an empty nest mother (Kathryn Hahn) and her college freshman son (Jackson White).
In addition to Hahn and White, the series will also star: Casey Wilson as Jane Rosen, a married mother of academically gifted twins, she’s Eve’s close friend and a reliable source of emotional support and unsolicited advice; Owen Teague as Julian Spitzer, a high school classmate of Brendan’s who is a smart but underachieving skater who’s stuck in his hometown after graduation, trying to figure out what happens next; and Jen Richards as Margo Fairchild, a transgender woman who teaches Eve’s community college writing course.

“SNL” alumna Tina Fey has come a long way since her days on the sketch comedy show. Since her turn as an anchor of Weekend Update and head writer of the show, she’s gone on to star in movies and create one of the best comedy TV shows ever in “30 Rock.” In honor of Fey’s return to “SNL” to host the Season 43 finale this week, here are 11 of Tina Fey’s best characters, ranked from the least hilarious to the most: Liz Lemon of “30 Rock.”
11. Queef Latina — “SNL”
When Fey returned to “SNL” as host in 2013, she used her monologue to remind fans of her least-remembered recurring characters. They were, of course, all made-up characters that had never existed, but even the promo materials for some of them were amazing. Fey and “SNL” suggested the movie spin-off for her fake character “Queef Latina,” dubbed “Queef Latina Ruins Christmas,...

You might have heard the old Paul Simon song “Kodachrome,” a lyric inspired by the Kodak film, but now in the new similarly titled film that Netflix unleashes on Friday, it is a wholly different story altogether.
Kodachrome, which had its world premiere at last year’s Toronto Film Festival where the streamer won distribution rights, comes from writer Jonathan Tropper and director Mark Raso and finds itself at the crossroads of a world moving from analog to digital. But it transfers that notion to a very human and recognizable road-trip movie that becomes the final journey of an estranged father and son as they travel deep into Kansas to get the final rolls of Kodachrome film developed just as the last lab is ceasing that business.
That aspect of this fictional story is true. Tropper got the inspiration from a New York Times story detailing Kodak’s decision to...
