"A Cult Classic Underworld movie from KFI"
Cinematalky1 May 2021
This was Prem's first debut and built a breakthrough career for Darshan. Right from the start to end of the film, the director has boldly presented the scenes with realistic approach. The movie is not only about crime, but it is also a story about Kariya, a gangster who is hesitant to express his love, which was brilliantly showcased with the racy screenplay.

If you have not watched it yet, go watch it and find out why it was called as a Cult Classic.

Kariya, a horrible film

Warning: Spoilers
According to me, Kariya is an overrated movie. The script is so pathetic, and there is nothing sort of a good performance from any actor. In fact, Darshan looks insipid throughout the movie, and he was not the right choice in my opinion.

Screenplay is incredibly slow almost like a snail, and Poor direction from Prem. Storytelling and narration is also pathetic, and songs also don't add any charm to the movie.

Characters are developed very poorly that it is very tough to identify which character is coming and going. Editing is also poor but Cinematography from M. R. Seenu is very good, which is the only plus point in this entire movie.

I recommend sensible audience to avoid watching this movie.

My Rating: 1/10 Verdict: Trash.

A character can be any letter, number, punctuation, special character, or space. Each of these characters takes up one byte of space in a computer's memory. Some Unicode characters, like emojis and some letters in non-Latin alphabets, take up two bytes of space and therefore count as two characters.
