The other reviewer has no idea what they're talking about, they had evidence to connect him to the murder of one of them and considering they are part of the same friend group and the other two were found not too far away it is nonsense to claim that he was not the murderer. Overall this was a fantastic crime documentary series and told the stories extremely well.

I'm writing this review on behalf of the first episode. I really think that those cops didn't commit an execution they committed a murder.
That tattooed guy told them that he's innocent even after a successful escape. They had no evidence to link him with those murders but they still did.
He had a chance to kill that woman officer but he didn't do that. Even after knowing that he will be executed if find guilty, he didn't shoot at those swat officers.
So just do the math, I'm 90% sure, they executed the wrong guy.
