The army of penguins
This is a special feature off the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD release of Batman Returns, which came in 2005, and it deals entirely with the penguins, the army of them. This is made up of interview bits with crew(and a bit or two of DeVito and Burton, for a similar amount of time as Danny), clips from the film itself, inter-cut, and various footage from where they worked with the trained penguins, and where they worked *on* the ones that aren't real. They start out talking about the trained ones, how they got them to do what was required of them, how they outfitted them with the gear(I won't reveal what, here, as to not spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched the movie), then detail how they created the penguins, with Winston doing most of the talking(as well as a decent enough impression of De Niro, at one point), quite possibly for the entire feature, in fact. This is well-paced, and comes in at about nine and a half minutes. It's also well-edited and fairly tight throughout. This is worth watching for anyone interested in this aspect of the making of the film. I recommend this to anyone who falls into that category. 7/10
