Sam Taylor-Woods' young-John-Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy went down a storm at the London Film Festival, and is rapidly approaching its Christmas Day release here in the UK. So just to keep you going until then, we have a clip from the film to give you a taste of the music you can expect.Aaron Johnson (the upcoming Kick-Ass, but you may remember him from Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Or not) plays John Lennon, with Thomas Sangster (Love Actually) as Paul McCartney. This clip sees McCartney giving Lennon a guitar lesson as they begin their long collaboration, and yes, that's Kristin Scott-Thomas as Lennon's disapproving aunt Mimi. Happily, the pair sound more like Lennon and McCartney than they look like them - as you can tell from the soundtrack album, which comes out on Monday 14. And yes, they did their own singing rather than miming to Beatles or Quarrymen (the Beatles' predecessor) tracks.

Imagine going to work and being called a sex god by your co-workers, who also happen to be super-humanly beautiful. Now, while you’re at it, dream about being only 18 years old and having already earned enough money to buy a bachelor pad in the trendy part of East London. Sound like never-never land? Well, British actor Aaron Johnson calls it reality.
Fresh from his successful turn as Robbie (a.k.a. the school sex god) in Gurinder Chadha’s 2008 comedy Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Johnson will next be seen playing the ill-fated boyfriend of hot commodity Carey Mulligan in the upcoming drama The Greatest. The film revolves around a family coping with the loss of a son. “I play the son,” Johnson explains. “He dies, so I’m in it for about 30 seconds.”...

I have a huge passion for acting but I'm interested in variety, both in the characters I play and the kinds of films I'm involved with, says the 18-year-old British actor, Aaaron Johnson. There is always a constant supply of pretty faces aspiring to star in movies. But only a few of these pretty boys and girls can really make it big-time. I've heard a lot of buzz regarding Aaron Johnson for his role in the British teen flick, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963743/). That got me curious, and to my surprise, he's also the same young actor who played Eisenheim in The Illusionist. If a small role in the Edward Norton starrer impressed me, what more if its a prominent role? Here's more: Aaron recently appeared as Robbie 'the hottie' in Gurinder Chadha's movie Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging and at 18 has buckets of potential.
