- TriviaThe scene in Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming (1995) where Milhouse is in a jet pretending to fire missiles at his parents is where the writers got the idea to have his parents' marriage be in trouble.
- GoofsMarge says she's going to make "butterscotch chicken" for Bart upon their arrival home from the dentist. But yet, in "Blood Feud," Marge clearly states that Bart is allergic to butterscotch and imitation butterscotch.

Kirk Van Houten: I sleep in a racing car. Do you?
Homer: I sleep in a big bed with my wife.

I sleep on a big bed with my wife
Millhouse's parents get divorced as Homer tries to make more of an effort with his marriage.
This is a good character episode, but the comedy is slightly lacking for me.
I think there are only so many times you can see Homer make a big effort to prove his love for Marge or the children. The idea of the divorce to get remarried is good, but the rest of his arc feels like ground covered previously.
The Van Houten scenes are the best for me, with some nicely made (and fairly dramatic) moments between Luann and Kirk. However, I mostly watch the Simpsons to laugh and whilst it does have some good relationship humour it is not one I would rush to rewatch.
