Meg's sister, Celia Rivers, arrives at Drovers. Partly apprehensive, partly excited, Meg has always lived in the shadow of her glamorous, talented, singing sister. But Celia has arrived for a seachange, or a country change. Her career is drying up fast and she thinks Meg was the sensible one in putting down roots. Meg, on the other hand, is also taking a long hard look at her future and dreams. When she is offered a job in Melbourne, an opportunity that does not come along too often, she has to make a difficult and painful decision. As only sisters can, and do, they have a falling out over their disparate lives and Celia's self-centredness, resulting in Celia heading bush in a huff and becoming lost. The Drovers women, with Nick and Alex, set out in search of her. Celia eventually finds her own way home, but in the meantime Jodi has been in danger of attack from a feral dog. Finally a remorseful Celia can admit to Meg that her life has hit rock bottom.
