- GoofsThe smoke signals sent from Chief Swift Eagle to Tonto are obvious special effects, rather like a blown smoke ring, aimed vertically, not real smoke rising from a lifted blanket.
- Quotes
Narrator: Indians on the warpath: Indians versus white. Burning, scalping, ?, massacres. These things that led to bloodshed had finally left the West when our story opens. For the great white father in Washington has acted on the Indian's behalf. The pipe of peace has been smoked and solemn treaties made have guaranteed for the rights and property of the red man. by Gioachino Rossini
Played at program opening and during closing credits
There are Indian raids on supply trains bound for Indian reservations. The Lone Ranger finds out that a band of army deserters are carrying out the raid but making sure that Indians get the blame.
It is also a scheme cooked by a crooked agent. To lure Indians off the reservations, a law means that once they are found off reservation. The Indians would be sent to Florida.
This would mean almost certain death for the Indians. As Tonto has gone to the reservation, the Lone Ranger needs to save him just in case he goes off the reservation.
For an episode made in 1949. This rather daring, showing the whites as crooked and trying to frame the Indians.
