  Vigilante : [Drawing his guns]  I reckon you boys have a good explanation for what you're doing on "A" Deck.

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Can't slip anything past you. Take 'em down.

  [the Annihilator attacks] 

• Deadshot : [as his handcuffs are unlocked]  What if I don't want to go with him?

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Then you can go and take your seat, tough guy.

• Deadshot : [addressing Colonel Flag]  And you? Going in unarmed?

  Captain Boomerang : This one don't need no weapons.

• Deadshot : What do you want, exactly?

  Rick Flagg Jr. : You're gonna do something patriotic, convict.

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Groovy. Who do I kill?

• Deadshot : An expert with nothing to lose... this must be some nasty business.

  Rick Flagg Jr. : A little B-and-E, a little grand larceny. No big deal.

  Deadshot : Right. What's the target?

  [Flagg hands him a dossier] 

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Justice League headquarters.

  Deadshot : Always did want to die for my country.

• Priest : There's still time, Mr. Lawton. Are you sure you don't want me to pray for you?

  Deadshot : I'm sure. But if it comforts you, padre, by all means.

  [he's led into the electric chair chamber] 

  Deadshot : Huh. My chair's already taken. Guess we'll have to come back tomorrow.

  Warden : Who are you? What is this? You can't just come in here and...

  [he's handed a piece of paper and gives it a once-over] 

  Warden : Release the prisoner.

  Prison Guard : But...

  Warden : Release him!

  Deadshot : [his restraints are removed]  What if I don't want to go with him?

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Then you can go and take your seat, tough guy.

• Captain Boomerang : It's a blooming fortress crawling with superheroes. Even if we do get in, what chance do we have?

  Deadshot : That's what I'd like to know.

  Plastique : Yeah, you got that right.

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Listen to me; we've got one advantage: this tower's so big and there's so much staff on it, no one's going to notice us. Unless one of you does something stupid. Once we're aboard, Plastique and Deadshot will make their way down to the Watchtower reactor, where Plastique will create a diversion.

  Plastique : Blow up a nuclear reactor? Sweet.

  Deadshot : Do I just watch, or do I get to join in?

  Rick Flagg Jr. : You're there to provide cover, and that's all.

• The Clock King : Just three major obstacles. First, Captain Atom. His abilities include flight, super-strength, and absorption of radioactivity. Green Lantern; his power ring enables him to create objects by thinking about them. Then there's J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter.

  Plastique : What about him?

  The Clock King : Super-strength, flight.

  Deadshot : And he's a shape-shifter, and he can read minds. I've run into him before.

  Captain Boomerang : Heh! The chair's startin' to look better every minute.

• Rick Flagg Jr. : Floyd Lawton, AKA Deadshot, meet Task Force X. George Harkness, AKA Captain Boomerang, expert thief and inventor. Temple Fugate, the Clock King; planner, tactician, expert with locks and systems infiltration. And Bette Sans Souci, current alias Plastique, explosives expert.

  Deadshot : Mmm. I know. I've seen the pictures.

  Plastique : And that's all you're gonna see, killer.

• Rick Flagg Jr. : No unnecessary killing.

  Captain Boomerang : Oh, come on!

  Rick Flagg Jr. : You kill someone, they find the body, sound the alarm, and we're trapped.

  The Clock King : Or you take the time to hide the body so they don't find it. Time we don't have to waste.

  Deadshot : [yawning]  Speaking of the time...

  Rick Flagg Jr. : Plenty of time to sleep in the grave, which is where we could all wind up if just one of us misses his mark.
