The Office spinoff is officially in the works at Peacock, and former stars John Krasinski and Steve Carell have shared their thoughts on the project and whether or not they’ll appear. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his new film, If, Krasinski said he hasn’t heard from his old boss and Office showrunner Greg Daniels, but he’d be open to making a cameo on the upcoming spinoff if he received the call. “As of now, I haven’t been asked,” Krasinski shared. “But the truth is I’d do anything for Greg Daniels. It sounds like they have a really fun idea.” The spinoff, from Daniels and Nathan for You co-creator Michael Koman, is set to revolve around a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters. Steve Carell Weighs in on New ‘The Office’ Series: “I Will Be Watching But I Will Not Be Showing Up”
Steve Carell is giving his thoughts on the recently announced follow-up series to The Office.
“I will be watching but I will not be showing up. It’s just a new thing and there’s really no reason for my character [Michael Scott] to show up in something like that,” Carell told The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere of his new film If on Monday. “But I’m excited about it, it sounds like a great conceit. I love the idea — I guess it’s set in a failing newspaper company, and I worked with Domhnall Gleeson, who is one of the leads; I did [2022 series] The Patient with him and he’s an excellent actor and a super nice guy so I think it’ll be great.”

The traditional pilot process may be dying out but that’s not stopping the glitz and glamor of the TV Upfronts in New York.
Traditionally, broadcast networks would be scrambling to make dozens of last minute decisions on a crop of new shows as well as heavily negotiated renewals as we head into the week of Upfronts. However, that is now largely a thing of the past as ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW continue with their year-round development strategies.
This year’s Upfronts should be slightly smoother sailing than last year’s event, which was affected by the writers strike.
But that hasn’t stopped the majority of these networks – excluding CBS and The CW – as well as some of their streaming rivals in the shape of Amazon and Netflix from using the week of Upfronts to tout their latest wares and show off their talent in front of advertisers.

Looking at the crop of new scripted series selected by the broadcast networks for 2024-25, one cannot help but reminisce about the 20th anniversary of what may have been broadcast television’s greatest season ever.
The 2004-05 season introduced several genre-defying series — all but one based on original ideas — whose impact on TV storytelling is still being felt: Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, House, The Office and Veronica Mars. Remarkably, one of them, Grey’s Anatomy is still around, having just been renewed by ABC for Season 21, along with another show that premiered that same season, animated comedy American Dad!.
Aside from the fact that the current economic realities of the TV business will likely never support another drama going to 21 seasons, broadcast networks will also likely never take chances on so many unconventional ideas: a sci-fi drama on a deserted island that set the tone for modern genre fare, a...

Merchant was the creative force behind the UK Office alongside Ricky Gervais and will be an executive producer on the untitled new Peacock series from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman.
It will be set in the same universe as The Office and will star Domhnall Gleeson (Ex-Machina) and Sabrina Impacciatore (The White Lotus). Production begins in July.

Following on the success of the “10 Years” series which features Thailand and Hong Kong editions among others, comes the latest iteration which sees five Burmese filmmakers coming together to conceptualize on the future they envision for their country. The anthology series of five short films is a visual package of this combined thought space, packaged in stylistic arthouse omnibus which is “10 Years Myanmar”.
Ten Years Myanmar is screening at Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival
The first film is “A City of Bougainvillea” by Thaiddhi. A blossoming love between a young couple sees them enjoying sweet nothings atop the city heights. But there is an uncomfortable silence in the air- for the boy might not even be real. The movie that starts of the anthology is perhaps the most poignant one. A morose and dark take on identity and belonging, which is rife with symbolism and leaves a lot to interpretat.

Not every TV show can hit a home run right out of the gate. Often, they need time to settle into a routine or win over audiences, especially when they are more character-driven. Normally, things start to shake out after the pilot episode, which is where we usually see the growing pains of a show trying to figure out exactly what it is. But every once in a while, there's a show -- sometimes even one that will go on to become legitimately great -- that needs a little more hand-holding.
Maybe the characters aren't gelling the right way, the showrunners are attempting to retool the series in real time, or they were simply experimenting stylistically. Whatever the reason, it's not impossible for a show that requires some extra time to cook to become beloved by audience. With a theme reminiscent of that time when Michael Scott dated Pam’s mom in The Office, Netflix’s A Family Affair is delightfully unhinged with a hefty dash of sizzling chemistry. Starring Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman and former Disney heartthrob Zac Efron in a whirlwind — albeit slightly inappropriate — romance. A Family Affair also stars Joey King, who plays the mortified daughter whose mother dates her ex-boss. A Family Affair was initially scheduled to be

The WWE is playing a game of programming musical chairs. "The Witch" and "The Green Knight" star Ralph Ineson is known for playing imposing, sometimes otherworldly figures (also: a love-to-hate-him character in the UK version of "The Office"), so it's only natural that he'll be playing a supervillain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. News broke yesterday that Ineson has been cast as Galactus, the planet-eating god figure whom Jack Kirby and Stan Lee first introduced during a Fantastic Four run in the '60s. Galactus appeared in "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" in 2007, but this time around, the character will return to a much more interconnected Marvel world beginning with Phase Six kickoff "The Fantastic Four."
Ineson may have just nabbed a major role in the long-running superhero franchise, but this actually isn't the first time he's appeared in an MCU film. A full decade ago, Ineson popped up briefly in "Guardians of the Galaxy," playing a Ravager pilot.

‘Fantastic Four’ is currently the hottest upcoming MCU movie only a few months ago the release date and cast were announced, confirming what we’ve known for quite a while. Pedro Pascal will be MCU’s new Reed Richards, with Vanessa Kirby taking on the role of Sue Storm. The Thing and the Human Torch will be played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn respectively. Julia Garner will be playing MCU’s version of Silver Surfer.
Filming is expected to begin this summer, and due to the release date being switched, ‘Thunderbolts*’ lost its July 2025 spot being moved to release earlier than expected on May 2, 2025. Despite the main cast being confirmed, there was not a speck of news regarding the movie’s possible villain.
All of this changed today when it was announced that Ralph Ineson will be playing Galactus in the upcoming movie, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Exclusive: Saturday Night Live star Ego Nwodim has been tapped as the female lead opposite Adam Pally and Stephen Curry in the single-camera Peacock comedy series Mr. Throwback. Her casting is not expected to impact her duties on the NBC sketch comedy series, which is in the same corporate family.
The Mr. Throwback mocumentary, from Happy Endings creator David Caspe and writing duo Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman, centers on Danny (Happy Endings alum Pally), a down-on-his-luck memorabilia dealer who looks for redemption by reuniting with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA great Steph Curry.
Nwodim will play Kimberly, Steph’s childhood friend, business partner, manager and essentially his overall handler. Kimberly, Steph, and Danny all grew up together, and while Kimberly is happy to see Danny pop back up in their lives, he’s not about to let Steph get taken advantage of by any of Danny’s schemes.

The summer movie season is in need of a hero. Can the director of "A Quiet Place" and the star of "Deadpool" come together to be those heroes? That's the question we're faced with the release of Paramount Pictures' "If," a new, original, family-friendly picture that promises a magical blend of CGI and live-action involving lots of imaginary friends. So, can Krasinski pivot from mid-budget horror to big-budget family films while maintaining the same level of success?
"If" is currently eyeing an opening in the $40 million range when it opens on May 17, per The Hollywood Reporter. Early tracking had the movie falling between $38 and $42 million, though some believe it can go as high as $50 million. That would be an unqualified win for an original movie of any kind right now. That is assuming that the film does, indeed, fall in line with those early expectations. For what it's worth, Box...

In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office’s legacy still lives on in the hearts of its fans, who still discuss the sitcom’s hilarious characters and the hidden details giving much insight on them.
Among them there’s obviously the series’ most mysterious onscreen employee, whose charismatic nature makes the fandom love him a lot despite his relatively small screen time. Creed’s background is partially revealed by one-off liners delivered by him, but one scene brings more understanding of his past that can both amaze and horrify you.

If you had told me back in 2009 or so that one day the guy who played Jim on "The Office" was going to helm one of the most successful horror movie franchises of the 21st century, I would have first been very impressed to learn that time travel was real, then immediately questioned what sort of future you came from where this was a possibility. And yet, in 2018, John Krasinski did exactly that, joining forces with the creative duo of Bryan Woods and Scott Beck to deliver, "A Quiet Place."
Set in a world where mysterious creatures hunt by sound, forcing what's left of humanity to go silent, "A Quiet Place" is centered on a family fighting for survival. The film was a massive success at the box office, inspiring the sequel film "A Quiet Place Part II," which saw the family moving on without their father after he was killed in the previous film,...
