Jessica Chastain interviewed Emma Watson for Interview magazine, and Watson spoke about the importance of keeping her personal life private.
She, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were children when they were cast in the Harry Potter series, and the actress said that outside of the fictional world of the films, what happened to them in reality "was kind of a fantasy story in itself."

Someone stop that hot runner! Ktla 5 Newscaster Wendy Burch grabbed a nearby runner for an on-camera interview about reports of shark sightings in Dana Point, California, and was clearly flustered by the guy's ripped body and Australian "accent." So when the interview was over, she did what was necessary and jokingly chased him down. The "Aussie" runner - who was actually identified in Facebook comments as an (American) UCLA student and pole vaulter named Riley Turner - said that beach-goers shouldn't worry about the sharks. "I mean, the sharks are always going to be there," Turner says, in a wavering Australian accent.

6. After Vanda? New DirectionsWeekend 6 - March 7 - 9The films explored over the course of the past five Harvard-Gulbenkian programs have boldly, brilliantly anticipated and defined new directions explored by 21st century world cinema. Aesthetically, politically and formally, the films of Reis-Cordeiro, Rocha, Dias, Viegas and Mozos have each in their own way pioneered new modes of narrative cinema, at times radically intermingling of fiction and non-fiction while always searching always for a new relationship between sound and image, between poetry and politics. In Tras-os-montes and Mudar de vida, we see clearly anticipated the brand of “docu-fiction” so important in world cinema today. In Dias 48, nuanced meta-cinema becomes a way to interrogate the political meaning of the image at its most profoundly level. In Viegas’ Gloria and Mozos Xavier, meanwhile, we discover a new kind of cinematic sensorium—an emotional tactility—as well as an alternate concept of film history told...

A review of tonight's "Masters of Sex" coming up just as soon as I make this coin disappear... "I knew it, because it's my story, Francis!" -Bill "The Story of My Life" is an episode packed with autobiographical anecdotes, sometimes with the storyteller recognizing that their story isn't what they thought it was, sometimes with the listener having that epiphany. But it's an episode that would probably be even better described if it used the title of last week's "Mirror, Mirror," because so much of the hour involves characters recognizing how much their situation is exactly like that of the person facing them. So it takes Bill going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with Frank to realize that he wasn't the only Masters boy to suffer so horribly at the hands of Francis Sr., just as it takes him listening to Lester's plea to get out of the study to admit to Virginia that he,...

Listen up, Directioners! One Direction has released their latest tune, "Story of My Life"—the second single from the boybander's forthcoming album Midnight Memories. The song, which features all five British hunks, including Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, is a follow-up to their smash-hit "Best Song Ever" and is a mid-tempo love ballad with a bit of a folk feel. And in typical 1D fashion, the lyrics are about a special lady: "The story of my life I take her home, I drive all night to keep her warm and time is frozen, the story of my life I give her hope, I spend her love until she's broke inside, the story of my life,"...

Lyricist behind some of the greatest pop hits of the 20th century
By contrast with his songwriter partner Burt Bacharach, whose suavely youthful looks belonged in a 1960s Martini ad, the lyricist Hal David, who has died at the age of 91, resembled a president of a suburban Rotary Club: a conservative, suit-and-tie figure from an earlier generation, modest and unassuming in conversation. But it was David's words as much as Bacharach's melodies that captured an audience for such songs as Anyone Who Had a Heart, I Say a Little Prayer, Walk on By, (There's) Always Something There to Remind Me, Alfie, Trains and Boats and Planes, (They Long to Be) Close to You, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head and Do You Know the Way to San Jose?
Their period of greatest productivity, between 1962 and 1968, coincided with the heyday of their partnership with Dionne Warwick, the gospel-trained singer who gave voice to their finest collaborations.

Cinema Lounge Roundtable: An Interview with the Filmmakers - October 2010
In many ways a short film can be a greater challenge than a feature simply due to the fact that, in a short, every moment counts. Each month we are committed to bringing you collection of diverse, impactful, and entertaining shorts and this month's line up is no different. This month's stories from an old man's daily pilgrimage, a middle-aged man's foray into the "viral video" craze, and the discovery of what happens after love, to a modern re-telling of Jean Paul Sartre's short story, an encounter with an important stranger, and charismatic drag queen's unfortunate one-night stand. This month filmmakers Jonathan Ade, J.J. Adler, Kent Hayward, Ben Garchar, Brandon Auman, Pierre Ferriere, and Lena Waithe discuss their films and the process of getting them made.

But we know what's at the top of your minds right now: Robert Beck is not a very pimp-sounding name. Funny you should think that, as his street pseudonym was Iceberg Slim, much more apt for the scene. All kidding aside, Beck's story is an amazing one. Born in 1918 into poverty in Milwaukee, the book says he was astonishingly bright (an Iq of 175) and attended university for a short time before dropping out to become a pimp on the streets of Chicago at the ripe old age of 18.
