Actor Peter Mygind had to have a tattoo changed before appearing in the series. It had an L for Lise, the name of his real-life wife.
The photographs presented as Iben's works are in fact works of Tine Harden, an award-winning photographer for Danish newspaper Politiken.
The series was created by 'Adam Price', as credits reflect, and by Søren Sveistrup. However, Price took a position at another network and Sveistrup continued as the sole main writer of the series.
Allegedly, the series was originally intended to be a sitcom entitled "Nikolaj og verden" (Nikolaj and the World) about a young man forced to rent out rooms in his big house after his wife leaves him.
Main writer Søren Sveistrup is responsible for the general character development of the series as well as the general plot of each episode. Episode writers deliver complete manuscripts based on the main writer's synopsis.
