It has been rather much written about this movie in Swedish newspapers, but yesterday opening night we were only about 20 people watching. That's a pity, because this picture is well worth seeing.

The plot is about the painting girl, there the former boyfriend has let her down and her mother has committed suicide. The film starts with the girl trying to do the same. She is afraid of big feelings and doesn't dare to commit herself to the new boyfriend, the rather nice jazz musician Elvis. She is supported by her Godmother, who is like a sister, although she is rather much older.

The girl is really well played by Johanna Sällström. Marika Lagercrantz is the Godmother. She has in some ways made the same performance for many years now, but she is making it quite all right. You care for the characters and you are really glad about the happy ending, that might sometime occur even in real life.
