“It’s still really surreal,” admits Toks Olagundoye about her starring role on the Paramount+ series “Frasier.” The actress was “very much” a fan of the original series that ran on NBC from 1993 to 2004, because it was “really well written and so well directed.” She especially loved that the show had “such a great mixture of high comedy and realism,” pointing to the late John Mahoney‘s character Martin Crane as her favorite character. Now 20 years after that show wrapped, the performer is a series regular on its return. Watch our exclusive video interview.
Olagundoye plays new character Olivia, the head of the psychology department at Harvard University, where Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) now works as a lecturer upon his return to living in Boston. What drew the actress to the part, aside from her love of “Frasier,” was “the fact that we’re in a comedy that hasn’t seen...

It’s that time of year again. The chestnuts are roasting, the eggnog is nogging, and some of us are getting ready for a house full of people that will turn this holiday season into a stressful one. So what do you do when you want to get into that merry spirit but also feel a slight bit of homicidal rage at your mother-in-law who just won’t shut up?
You put on some violent, blood-drenched action films that still capture that yuletide spirit. While others may embrace the holiday season with hilarious comedy, a hearty drama, a romantic rendezvous, or even Ernest, you can sit back and partake in one or all of the movies we here at JoBlo deem the top 10 best Christmas action movies.

Ho, ho, holy comeback. Nicole Franzel pulled off not one but two comebacks on Thursday’s “Big Brother Reindeer Games” to become the holiday spin-off’s inaugural champ — and save Christmas, of course. The “Big Brother 18” winner took down Season 23 champ Xavier Prather in the semifinal despite have a 30-second delayed start and then defeated Season 24 winner Taylor Hale in the final after being well behind in the first two of three rounds. But the final round, during which they had to stack 32 snowflakes, leveled the playing field.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details on who won the competition.
CBS’s Big Brother Reindeer Games, a six-episode spinoff of the reality series featuring holiday-themed competitions, held its grand finale tonight.
The two-week show, which launched Dec. 11, kicked off with nine Big Brother veterans vying to make the final four. The show was hosted by former Big Brother HouseGuests Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell, and Jordan Lloyd. The objective: save Christmas.
As might be expected from the title, the Christmas theme was everywhere. The house was named Santa’s Lodge, and its entryway was decorated with flying reindeer and gold-wrapped presents. The living room has a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and wreaths, and the kitchen, aka “Mrs. Claus Bakery,” was adorned with gingerbread men.
The battle threw aside season’s greetings and became fierce. In the end, Nicole Franzel was the winner over former Miss Michigan Taylor Hale, copping the show’s $100,000 grand prize.

Not to be hyperbolic, but “Big Brother Reindeer Games” has delivered some of the best and most exciting comps and comp results in franchise history in just three episodes so far. In the second episode, Cody Calafiore, as the Naughty and Nice challenge winner, got to pick his teammates for the Jingle Bell Brawl and assembled a comp beast dream team of his Season 16 cohorts Frankie Grande and Nicole Franzel, in addition to Xavier Prather, leaving Danielle Reyes, Josh Martinez, Britney Haynes and Taylor Hale on Team Underdogs.
But anyone who thought Cody’s super squad would dominate was very, very wrong. Even with Taylor having to decorate an extra tree as her disadvantage punishment, the underdogs breezed through the comp — and at one point were two trees ahead of Cody’s team — and pulled off the upset to secure safety. But the Season 22 champ, who was eliminated in Santa...

Big Brother has been on the air for over 23 years, delivering wild twists, quests for power, and drama.
This year's entry -- Big Brother 25 -- was the show's longest to date, clocking in at 100 days- long, resulting in one of the biggest duds in its history.
If you were in the market for twists that went nowhere, the game being randomly paused for a week thanks to a twist, and evictions not sticking, it was the season you've always been waiting for.
As a fan since the beginning, I want to forget about Big Brother Season 25 because it went on too long and didn't have the excitement of prior seasons due to the terrible pace.
While there were rumors that CBS could be prepping a Legends season for the winter as the network struggles with a lack of shows due to the strikes, we're getting something different.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Frasier revival Season 1 finale “Reindeer Games.”] Everything that could go wrong did go wrong at Frasier’s (Kelsey Grammer) Christmas party: too many trees and too few chairs, over-whisked eggnog, an elementary school quartet, and a live goose. But the Frasier season finale also featured a very welcome return in Peri Gilpin as Roz, just when Frasier needed the boost the most. But this wasn’t the original story that the executive producers, Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, had planned for her. For that and more inside scoop, read below. This finale had some really sweet moments while remembering Martin, from the dancing Santa to Frasier’s “I really miss you” to the toast. Talk about taking the time for that the way you did, especially because “I really miss you” was such a quiet, perfect moment. Chris Harris: Yeah, it’s one of the great advantages of being on Paramount+ is ...

It’s not nine lords a leaping but nine alums competing again in the “Big Brother” house. “Big Brother Reindeer Games” unveiled its full cast on Thursday and it’s probably who you might’ve expected.
The cast features five “Big Brother” champs — Cody Calafiore, Nicole Franzel, Taylor Hale, Josh Martinez and Xavier Prather — in addition to Season 12 America’s Favorite Player Britney Haynes and reigning Season 25 Afp Cameron Hardin. Rounding out the cast are “Bb” legends Frankie Grande and Danielle Reyes.
The inclusion of Britney, Frankie and Danielle isn’t too surprising since they were the ones who activated the multiverse on Season 25 with the Time Laser and unleashed “Reindeer Games” when they attempted to fix it on the finale last month.

Season one of the Frasier revival ends this week, with the tenth and final episode, “Reindeer Games”, arriving just before Christmas. And while Kelsey Grammer isn’t quite sure what season two of Frasier will bring – tossed salad and scrambled eggs, perhaps? – he does see the series going well past that.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Kelsey Grammer – who made his debut as Dr. Frasier Crane in the season three premiere of Cheers – was confident that Paramount+ will continue their support of the show. “I believe we have a home at Paramount+ for several years to come, and we certainly have several ideas for it.” He added that the Hollywood strikes, which stalled numerous projects but thankfully have settled, has played a role in the development. “It’s just what’s fleshing out, and we’re not sure yet because the writers went on strike, then the actors stayed on strike,...

The "Frasier" revival show has wrapped up its Paramount+ run with a Christmas installment that, at times, manages to recapture the "Frasier" magic which has mostly eluded the series thus far. Earlier episodes have provided significant nostalgia hits by giving us a touching tribute to the late Martin actor John Mahoney, and a special guest appearance from Bebe Neuwirth as Frasier's ex-wife Lilith. But showrunners Joe Cristali and Chris Harris have saved the best for last.
The tenth and final episode of the new series, "Reindeer Games," not only sees the writers try their hand at a classic "Frasier" farce, it also features the return of Peri Gilpin as Roz, Frasier's former radio producer from the original series. Not content with just one major nostalgia hit, the episode also opens with the titular doctor sitting mournfully among his late father's Christmas decorations, which feature two specific items that appeared in previous "Frasier" episodes.

[This story contains spoilers from the season finale of Frasier, “Reindeer Games.”]
As the credits roll on the season finale of the Frasier revival, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Frasier Crane — the role he originated 39 years ago on Cheers — frustratedly conducts a string quartet of not-yet-classically trained child musicians through a rendition of “Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs.” How a bunch of kids ended up performing the series theme song is a classic Frasier conundrum.
In the episode, “Reindeer Games,” a series of mix-ups ensue as Crane “frasiers” hosting an elegant holiday dinner party (yes, “frasier” becomes a verb in this episode). The problem: He’s mistakenly hired an elementary school string quartet, ordered 24 Christmas trees and a live goose, and made the egg nog so thick that one of guests asks, “Is this flan?”
The comedic timing of each mishap plays like an orchestra, thanks to Grammer’s stellar directing. “Reindeer Games” is the third episode he’s helmed for the Paramount+ revival series,...

This article contains spoilers for the "Frasier" reboot season finale.
With this latest episode, the holiday-themed "Reindeer Games," the first season of Paramount's "Frasier" revival has finally come to an end. It's felt both too short and dragged out, refreshingly joyous and embarrassingly flat, an important addition to the modern TV landscape and an unnecessary one. As we viewers (and we at /Film) anatomize the revival's hits and misses, it's important to pause and reflect on the complicated and synecdotal final bang the season went out on. That would be the return of Peri Gilpin's Roz.
"Reindeer Games" comes as close to classic "Frasier" farce as any episode this season, save a few gags, like Eve's (Jess Salgueiro) convoluted play in episode 6, "Blind Date," June Diane Raphael's guest appearance in that same episode, and a smattering of references to deep cut original series lore. During the season finale of “Big Brother 25,” perennial host Julie Chen Moonves made a big announcement about an upcoming spin-off series. “Get ready for a brand new show from the ‘Big Brother’ universe. It’s called ‘Big Brother Reindeer Games,'” teased the Chen-Bot. “It’s a new game and a new set of rules, as legendary ‘Bb’ players return to compete to be the last one standing. Six action-packed holiday-themed episodes with special appearances from ‘Bb’ favorites — Jordan Lloyd, Derek Xiao and Tiffany Mitchell — as Santa’s Elves.”
Surprisingly, the “Big Brother Reindeer Games” cast members will not live in the “Bb” house and will not vote each other out. Instead, everything will be centered about competitions. In other words, get ready to hear “Let’s go!” a lot. All six episodes will be pre-taped prior to its debut on December 11, which means there will be no live shows and no live feeds.

‘Tis the season to expect the unexpected. “Big Brother” is launching a new holiday-themed spin-off next month called “Big Brother Reindeer Games.”
As seen on Thursday’s “Big Brother 25” finale, alums Frankie Grande, Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes broke into the house again to try to close the multiverse with the Time Laser. While they accomplished that, the house became festooned in holiday cheer because now they’ve unleashed “Reindeer Games.”
A six-episode series that will air over two weeks in December, “Reindeer Games” will feature nine “Bb” legends — including someone from Season 25 — competing in, per CBS, “the most holiday-riffic, challenging and unpredictable competitions.” They will be guided by three alums, aka Santa’s Elves, Derek Xiao, Tiffany Mitchell and Jordan Lloyd, who essentially serve as hosts (there’s no official host). Each episode includes three competitions, culminating in Santa’s Showdown, which determines who will be eliminated at the end of the hour.

She was banned from NBC Radio-her name couldn’t even be mentioned-for over a decade. West even guest starred on a 1964 episode of CBS’ “Mr. Ed.” West has inspired several female performers over the decades including Madonna and remained true to herself up until her death in 1980 at the age of 87.
West didn’t look at any other actress of the day. Sources say she was 5’ to 5’ 2” (rumor is that she wore eight-inch platform heels on stage...
