Of course, this will pit Jason against Sonny. And things are already extremely rocky between the former besties on General Hospital. Now, because Jason is protecting Dex, he will make himself a target.

Prong have announced their 13th studio album, State of Emergency, arriving October 6th. Coinciding with the news, the thrash vets have dropped the single “Non-Existence.”
The track is apex Prong, holding to the band’s tried-and-true brand of grooved-out thrash. Tommy Victor’s guitar tone is steely, cutting through the mix, and there’s a pop-punkish bounce to the chord structures and shout-along vocals. For Victor, it harkens back to the band’s 1996 album Rude Awakening.
“‘Non-Existence,’ with its techno-style noise guitar that’s omnipresent on this album, is a bit like my retrospective glance at Rude Awakening,” he remarked in a press release.
Victor worked on the LP with producer Steve Evetts and sought to create a record that explored his varied taste in music while retaining the idiosyncrasies of the long-running project.
“It’s a very ‘Prong’ record,” Victor mused. “I think it’s totally genre-transcending and definitely...

In a series that’s almost entirely composed of outrageously shocking over-the-top monster shenanigans – as it comes from the twisted genius of showrunners like Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement – it’s pretty tough narrowing it down to the most jaw-dropping scenes and situations on display. But since I consider What We Do in the Shadows one of the best horror sitcoms ever made, I decided to step up to the challenge and wade into the carnage.
Alas, the fourth season of clueless vampires, geysers of blood, gloriously filthy dialogue, literally inhuman sex acts, death, dismemberment, and depravity has reached its end. In an attempt to hold off my sadness at having to wait a while for Season 5, I sorted out my favorite moments from the mockumentary show – based on the equally classic feature film – about a group of constantly bickering vampires sharing the same crumbling Staten Island house.

In 1976, a crudely published fanzine devoted to the experimental film scene made its debut. It was called Idiolects and the first issue offered a definition of its name: “An idiolect is the language of an individual at a particular time.” That definition certainly could be applied to both the filmmakers covered in the zine and to the writers who contributed articles.
Although not an official publication of New York City’s Collective for Living Cinema screening society, Idiolects was closely tied to the organization, offering a “temporary” publication address of 52 White Street, New York, 10013 in the indicia. That was the Collective’s then permanent screening space in 1976 after having bopped around Manhattan for several years prior.
In addition, the Living Cinema was formed in the early 1970s by students who had studied filmmaking at Binghamton University in upstate New York and then moved to New York City. While Idiolects #1 gives no clear main editorial voice,...

A number of killer bear films have been released or releasing this year. From Into the Grizzly Maze (2015) to Backcountry (2015), Grizzlies are hungry for man and beast. The latest killer bear film is titled Unnatural. The first trailer for this film was posted on 28Dla in early May. Now, the film has been picked up to participate in After Dark Film's 8 Films to Die For. As well, the film stars James Remar ("Dexter"), Sherilyn Fenn (Rude Awakening) and Graham Greene. Chicago – The “Prince of Pain” was in Chicago recently. Richard Lewis, the overtly introspective and hilarious stand up comedian, has written a new book – “Reflections From Hell” – and appeared at Chicago’s City Winery, plus sold out two shows at the legendary Zanies comedy club.
The Brooklyn-born Lewis began performing stand-up comedy in late 1970s. After making numerous appearances on David Letterman in the 1980s, he landed on the sitcom “Anything But Love” in 1989, which ran for four seasons. Other TV projects include “Daddy Dearest,” Showtime’s “Rude Awakening,” and a recurring role (as himself) on “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Films include “Robin Hood: Men in Tights,” “Once Upon a Crime” and “Leaving Las Vegas.” He popularized the phrase “The _____ from hell,” which contributed to the title of his new book, “Reflections from Hell.”

NBC kicked off Law & Order: Svu‘s 15th season with two back-to-back episodes. This recap only covers the first of those hours.
As one would hope, the 15th season premiere of Law & Order: Svu resolves the cliffhanger with which the 14th season finale left us. But, as absolutely no one would hope, before that happens, we’re forced to watch Olivia get tortured for an hour. Here’s the blow by (sometimes literal) blow.

Hammer has risen from the grave as a brand new company that releases some pretty amazing horror films notably, Let Me In and Wakewood. They also released a remake of The Woman in Black recently that left me underwhelmed. While Hammer may be shaking out the rigor mortise, Synapse Films is taking full advantage of renewed interest in some of the works from Hammer Productions former glory. On the coat tails of their Blu-ray release of the Twins of Evil comes a new DVD package of the television program Hammer House of Horrors. As a fan of Hammer I am overjoyed to see this get some new packaging. As a lover of horror these tales are perfect for October and great for some of the teens in the house (if you’re teens can stand boobies and blood).

An unconfirmed Achievement list for Assassin’s Creed III has been leaked online, revealing a little bit about the game’s plot and some new features.
Assuming the list is accurate, the leaked Assassin’s Creed III Achievements do contain a few spoilers for the upcoming game. Consider this fair warning.
The best news is that the game’s multiplayer Achievements make up only 80G (spread out over five Achievements) of the total 1000G. Reaching level 20 and unlocking one hacked Astergo video seem to be the two that will be the most time-consuming, so those who prefer single-player won’t be missing much.
As for Assassin’s Creed III‘s single-player Achievements, it appears that you will visit a stadium and skyscraper during the modern-day portions of the game, before traveling to the Abstergo laboratory. Exactly what happens at all three locations is not known, however, at some point you...

Legendary UK film studio Hammer didn't only dabble in films; Hammer also created thirteen one-hour shorts to be shown on television as Hammer House of Horror. These episodes aired on ITV during the fall of 1980.
I watched Witching Time to get a feel for the release as well as the series. It's a funny thing to pop in a DVD of a made-for-tv series and find the episode shows full nudity before the credits even roll, as is what happens in Witching Time. The UK has always been more open about such things than the supposed 'Land of the Free', and this was certainly true in 1980. That's not to say the nudity shown in Witching Time is overtly lascivious - it's fairly restrained, actually - but it is a reminder how lamely conservative our own "oh please, think of the children" television is.

With the notable exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers-mercenaries, Yakuza convicts, death squad members - human "predators" that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators. The clip is cool. I'm realy stoked to see this movie. Anything is better than the last two debacles they shoved on us. At...

One month after brother Corin Redgrave died from an illness (and a year after niece Natasha Richardson), Yahoo reports that actress Lynn Redgrave has passed away at the age of 67. Currently, there is no word on the cause, although it is noted that Redgrave was treated for breast cancer in 2003.
Although she often fell under the shadow of older sister Vanessa, Lynn Redgrave had her share of acting triumphs. A veteran of Broadway, television, and cinema, the actress took roles in almost 100 screen projects, from which she earned two Oscar nominations. The first was for her starring role in the 1966 film Georgy Girl, which made her "a 1960s sensation," and then for her excellent supporting turn in Bill Condon's Gods and Monsters in 1998. Like her siblings, Redgrave took on a myriad of Shakespearian roles, but she was also known for her small-screen work, from Centennial to Rude Awakening.

When people ask me to ramble off the names of my favorite bands, there’s a few that I always mention. Faith No More. Helmet. Clutch. And Prong.
Prong first hit my radar in the early 1990’s. I was in high school, and MTV still played music. A weekend staple was always Headbangers Ball, and it was through that show that Prong first hit my ears during the era of their 1991 Epic Records release Prove You Wrong.
The music was powerful, heavy, yet uncluttered. The bass groove was infectious, the drums precise, and the guitar and vocals of front man Tommy Victor was the icing on the cake. Being a sophomore in High School at the time, I had my dad take me down to the local “CD Exchange” in search of the band’s earliest works.
After months of searching, I’d been able to go back to the beginning.
