Gdh 559’s How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, already the biggest film at the Thai box office in 2024, has now surpassed 2 million admissions in Indonesia, making it the second biggest Asian title at the Indonesian box office of all time.
The family drama hit the milestone on May 27 after 13 days on release through Indonesian distributor Falcon Pictures.
It is now the biggest Thai film, surpassing Thai-Korean horror The Medium’s 700,000 admissions in 2021, and the second biggest Asian film in Indonesia, only after Korean supernatural thriller Exhuma, which scored 2.6 million admissions earlier this year.

Mysterious cloaked ships have been bothering Helldivers for some time now. Similarly, Helldivers 2 players have also struggled with adapting to newer updates that come with new planetary hazards. Meanwhile, developer Arrowhead has been trying their best to make the game flawless with newer patches.
Helldivers 2
Likewise, the game received another patch recently, which made considerable changes to the game.
Helldivers 2 new Aerial Gunships
Helldivers 2’s alien robot faction, Automatons, will now have access to new aerial gunships. These were launched with a recently completed Major Order. These gunships are causing mass destruction on the battlefield by firing deadly red lasers from the sky.
Aerial gunships
Fortunately, the aerial gunships can be destroyed. However, for that the players will need to have adequate powerful weaponry at their disposal. Some heavy-duty Stratagems such as the Expendable Anti-Tank as well as the recently released Quasar Cannon seem to be appropriate for facing aerial gunships.

Players may make this new planet their favorite. Helldivers 2 players are hopefully getting one planet with a lush green environment, just like the ‘Space Vietnam’ or Malevelon Creek that Automatons took over on February 2024. Although it was entirely overrun by the merciless robots, rumors were that players may get a chance to liberate it at some point in the future,
All the events were revealed to be controlled by Game Master Joel. Since the name came to light, players are more than aware of the in-game conditions, as they now know that they don’t know what hell Joel would let loose while they are busy liberating a planet. For now, it seems like he’s about to throw a primordial planet towards them.

Battlefield and Call of Duty have been at odds for decades. Even though Battlefield was the first to enter the first-person shooter fray, Call of Duty has racked up a far bigger fan following, on account of the former’s recent games dropping the ball in certain aspects.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
However, the Call of Duty series has made its own missteps, too, most recently in the form of Modern Warfare 3‘s disastrous reception. Before there were dramas on television, there were dramas on the radio. With no visuals to present to their audience, radio series had to conjure up entire worlds out of carefully scripted narration, homespun special effects, and the sheer vibrance of their actors’ voices. Done right, whether back then or in modern podcast fiction, the effect can be magical, with the soundscape creating an experience that can be just as immersive as, if not more than, a story you watch on a screen. Heck, in 1938, Orson Welles nearly caused a...

What is the point of a video game expansion? Too often, the point is to make some extra money without having to make an entirely new game. That’s not necessarily a sin, but the worst video game Dlc expansions too often showcase the worst of gaming. Yet, the best video game Dlc expansions show all the things that concept should be.
The best Dlc expansions do more than give us an excuse to dive back into the games we already own. They revive, reinvigorate, and, in some cases, even redeem their base experiences. We all benefit from learning from our best and worst moments. Well, that’s also what the greatest expansions do. They benefit from the knowledge of seeing what came before and realizing how much more there still is to do.

Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta has made an unusual inroad into Vietnam with reality show “Let’s Feast Vietnam,” which launched on Netflix this week in parts of Asia.
The 10-episode “Let’s Feast Vietnam” (aka “Hành Trình Ky Thú”) is part cooking competition and part-way travelogue. It also borrows something of the ‘reels’ short video feature that makes social media apps so addictive, in that contestants are required to produce video clips along their journey.
The show involves 14 content creators from six countries who embark on a voyage through the Southeast Asian nation, encountering beautiful landscapes, learning culinary arts and being required to take on challenging missions.
Destinations include the historic capital of Hanoi, the natural wonders of Ha Long Bay, buzzy commercial capital Ho Chi Minh City and pearl island Phu Quoc.
The contestants are accompanied by various celebrities and influencers who act as commentators along the way.

Days after Vietnam banned Warner Bros’ upcoming Barbie due to a scene depicting a map of the South China Sea with the “nine-dash line” that is contested by its government, the Philippines is now weighing whether it will follow suit.
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board of the Philippines on Tuesday posted a notice to its website reading: “We confirm that the Board has reviewed the film Barbie today, 04 July 2023. At this time, the assigned Committee on First Review is deliberating on the request of Warner Brothers F.E. Inc. for a Permit to Exhibit.” It did not explain the reason for the statement.
The controversial “nine-dash line” represents China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea. Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei all have competing claims. The U-shaped line was repudiated in an international arbitration ruling by a court in The Hague in 2016, however, China refuses to recognize the ruling.

Greta Gerwig‘s Barbie will not be released in Vietnam. The country has banned commercial screenings of the film due to a scene that shows a map of the controversial “nine-dash line” in the South China Sea.
The U-shaped nine-dash line is a boundary China has used to claim territories in the South China Sea. This line is challenged by other nations in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam, which says the territorial declaration violates its sovereignty. The U-shaped nine-dash line is a boundary China has used to claim territories in the South China Sea. This line is challenged by other nations in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam, which says the territorial declaration violates its sovereignty. Some of the contested areas are potentially rich in energy sources like oil and natural gas.

The eagerly anticipated ‘Barbie’ movie, produced by Warner Bros and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has been prohibited from distribution in Vietnam. This unexpected turn of events is due to a scene in the film displaying a controversial map depicting the Chinese territorial claims, also known as the “nine-dash line,” in the South China Sea.

It’s only March, and the action in 2023 has already been amplified to level 100. Marvel has been dominating the genre for the latter half of the last decade, but recently a lot of new players have entered the game with new franchises, top-quality choreography, and interesting storylines that have driven audiences to theaters. Of course, the best example is the “John Wick” franchise, which has surpassed expectations and brought a new generation delight for hand-to-hand combat and bulletproof tailor-made couture suits. In the last three months alone, we have seen large-scale action movies from Bollywood (Pathaan), Vietnam (Furies), Hollywood with chapter 4 of the aforementioned John Wick, and now South Korea has joined with the highly anticipated “Kill Boksoon.” Notably, this one comes closest to “John Wick” in style, plot, and even the couture suits (which are a perfect reason to watch this film). As a fan of Hallyu entertainment, I...

Where do the Leap Hosts go when Quantum Leap’s Ben Song jumps into them? That’s a question many have been asking since NBC’s continuation premiered back in September.
In the original series starring Scott Bakula as Sam Beckett, those being leapt into would enter an empty waiting room that featured a white table and a single door to exit. They were then interrogated for information that could help Sam during his leaps.

Quantum Leap Episode 1
Quantum Leap has leapt back onto the screen. The much-awaited sequel to the three-decades-old original series spent much of its first hour acclimating newbies to the time-traveling world of “putting right once went wrong” while keeping viewers hooked with a few fast-paced surprises and more than a few curiosities.
The scene is set with a love story. A beautiful couple, newly engaged, celebrating with friends and colleagues, and so enamored that they plan to abandon their own party, post-haste, and go share a bottle of bourbon together under a pier. Yet, their plan is waylaid when Addison Augustine (Caitlin Basset) makes one last round of small talk while Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) receives a secret, urgent text from another woman, whom he quickly takes off to meet, leaving his fiancé and his friends in his dust. Unlike the original leaper,...

Upon a rewatch — made difficult because episodes are only available for purchase or on the “premium” level at Peacock — the original 1989 pilot for Quantum Leap is an impressive thing.
Owing in no small part to it being a two-episode premiere, creator Donald P. Bellisario is able to go nearly the entirety of the first 45 minutes without an iota of exposition. Scott Bakula’s Sam Beckett wakes up in the body of a 1956 test pilot with no memory and he has to figure out his situation, as well as why he keeps talking to a man (Dean Stockwell’s Al) that nobody else can see. Sure, eventually things get explained, but there’s a long stretch in which the episode just lets audiences figure things out or flounder. No 2022 pilot, especially no broadcast pilot, would ever demonstrate a comparable level of confidence.

Peter Farrelly’s “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” isn’t so much a bad movie — though it’s certainly that — as an inexplicable one, a comedy/drama set in the Vietnam War that somehow believes it’s saying anything that hasn’t been said a million times already about that conflict, and far more skillfully. Its script feels like it was written in 1972 as a Donald Sutherland vehicle, shelved because it was too edgy, then dusted off last year and shot as-is.

In the original Quantum Leap series, which ran from 1989 to 1993 on NBC, Herbert “Magic” Williams (played by Christopher Kirby) was just a soldier in the Vietnam War when Samuel Beckett (Scott Bakula) leaped into him in the Season 3 episode “The Leap Home, Part 2 (Vietnam).”

In 1970, Jimmy Cliff found himself at a crossroads. At the age of 26, the Jamaican singer-songwriter was already one of the pioneers and rising stars of reggae, having enjoyed top 10 hits in the UK with his joyous hymn to unity “Wonderful World, Beautiful People” and a spine-tingling cover of Cat Stevens’ “Wild World”. He was in London, preparing for an extensive tour, when he received an offer to star in a low-budget movie back home. “I said, ‘You know, I’m really glad to be here in Europe’,” recalls Cliff, now 78, his voice still rich and mellifluous as it sings down the line from his home in Miami. “It’s not wise to run all over the place and do something like that.”
Perry Henzell, the writer-director who wanted the musician for his film, flew to Britain to change Cliff’s mind. “He said one sentence to me that stopped me in my tracks,...

Robert De Niro will star in the Warner Bros. mob drama Wise Guys from director Barry Levinson, Deadline can confirm. The project reunites the duo following their collaborations on the Emmy-nominated HBO TV movie The Wizard of Lies, which had De Niro playing Bernie Madoff, and Magnolia Pictures’ 2008 dramedy, What Just Happened, as well as the director’s earlier films Wag the Dog and Sleepers.
Wise Guys is a period piece tells the story of Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, a pair of Italian Americans running two separate crime families during the mid-20th century. Genovese tried and failed to assassinate Costello in 1957, though the latter wound up taking his leave from the mob after being injured during the attempt on his life. We hear that De Niro will be taking on both key roles in the film eyed for release in theaters.

Warners’ first original feature of the Warner Bros. Discovery era is here … and it’s a period mobster drama fronted by two Hollywood veterans.
