With Christmas just one week (and one day) away, we wanted to ask you, the people, what your favorite Christmas Movie is? It doesn’t have to be the movie you think is the best, just the one that you eagerly anticipate watching every year. Is it the timeless tale of an angel getting its wings in It’s A Wonderful Life? or perhaps the under-appreciated (and genuinely hilarious) R rated The Night Before is how you kick off your holiday season?
Do you look forward to seeing Jack Skellington discover the true meaning of Christmas in the Christmas Movie Classic The Nightmare Before Christmas or watching Kevin McCallister take down the Wet/ Sticky Bandits in Home Alone 1&2 or perhaps seeing Clark W. Griswold struggle to have the perfect family Christmas in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is more your speed? Whatever film fills you with yuletide glee, we would love...

Ojai, California may not be the obvious location for a real-life horror film, but the secret reality is the community has been living a nightmare and no one is hearing their screams.

Regenerate Ojai filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell reveal that over five million pounds of pesticides are used per year in Ventura County. That is the highest per acre and per capita in the entire state. The community has the most kids exposed to the worst chemicals of any county in California.
The pastoral setting, home to celebrities, farmers, and families, lends itself to keeping the community in this hamster wheel of hope and despair because behind the rolling green landscape...

We have a list of the new Hulu movies and shows arriving in October 2018.
Happy Huluween!
Hulu is blessed to have a name that sounds roughly enough like "Hallow." That means it's basically honor-bound to bring the heat for Halloween. Thankfully for the October 2018 new releases, Hulu is bringing us the spookies that we need. The Blair Witch Project, The Others, and Child's Play all arrive this month. And if you're looking for some more wholesome creepies, The Nightmare Before Christmas should do. And if that weren't enough, Hulu is debuting its own horror show - anthology series Into the Dark.
For those shamefully unable to get into the Halloween spirit, Hulu is bringing in some other fun film options. Galaxy Quest, Music and Lyrics, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective should help out with that.
Then of course, are the usual and typically deep TV offerings.

26 years ago today, the Griswold family cemented their place in the pantheon Christmas movies. The third installment of National Lampoon’s “Vacation” comedy series features plenty of holiday hijinks ensuing — including a squirrel in the Christmas tree, a sled ride made dangerous by an experimental substance, and a bit of kidnapping — as Chevy Chase’s Clark Griswold tries to keep it all together in front of his siblings. Fun fact: “Christmas Vacation” was one of two Christmas movies released in 1989, the other being John Hancock’s “Prancer.” Johnny Galecki, a.k.a. Rusty Griswold (now better known as Leonard from “The Big Bang Theory”) appeared in both of these holiday movies. Other notable December 1 happenings in pop culture history: • 1887: The first Sherlock Holmes story, “A Study in Scarlet,” was published in “Beeton’s Christmas Annual” • 1903: “The Great Train Robbery,” notable for many firsts in filmmaking, had its...

Dorothy Tristan wrote and stars in the latest film from Academy Award® nominated director John Hancock,"The Looking Glass," set to open in New York at the Cinema Village, and in Los Angeles at the Fine Arts on October 23, 2015.
“I was very moved by the film. Dorothy gives an extremely touching performance, one that is definitely worthy of an Academy Award nomination,” said film critic Kathleen Carroll.
The official synopsis reads: "After losing her mother, troubled 13-year-old Julie must go to Indiana to live with her grandmother, Karen. Karen, a former star of stage and screen, now facing the end of her life, wants desperately to connect with her granddaughter in a meaningful way and pass on all she knows before it's too late. But the two of them—each stubborn in her own way—butt heads at every turn. Soon, Karen makes a remarkable discovery: Julie’s powerful, unique singing voice. Will the sudden discovery of Julie’s talent be enough to bring the two together and allow Karen to pass on her legacy? This beautifully shot film shows a tenderness in its treatment of family matters such as depression and low self-esteem. In watching the story unfold, the watcher is touched at the beauty and sadness of the rebellious young girl. Our hopes for her finding herself and allowing her voice to be shared with the world engages as the movie unfolds. This is the sort of film families with pre-teen and teen girls and boys would enjoy together. Then one talks of 'family entertainment,' this is the film that fits for a pleasurable movie day"
Married for forty years, "The Looking Glass" finds Dorothy Tristan and John Hancock collaborating for the seventh time. Since 1994, when their house was destroyed in the Malibu fire, they’ve been living and working in La Porte County, Indiana, and turning that little corner of the Midwest into a filmmaking hub.
Dorothy appeared in the director's “California Dreaming” and wrote “Steal the Sky,” “Weeds,” “A Piece of Eden” and “Suspended Animation.” She also did the final polish on Hancock's Christmas classic, “Prancer.” Tristan began her acting career in theatre, playing Charlotte Corday in the national touring production of “Marat/Sade.” She was Helena in “Midsummer Night’s Dream” and Lady Macduff in “Macbeth” at Stratford, Connecticut. She played Blanche Dubois opposite Jon Voight in “Streetcar Named Desire.” She had leading or supporting roles in a number of major motion pictures including “Klute,” “Man on a Swing,” and Aram Avakian’s “End of the Road” with James Earl Jones and Stacy Keach.
Hancock’s feature film credits include “Bang The Drum Slowly,” “California Dreaming,” “Let’s Scare Jessica to Death,” “Baby Blue Marine,” “Weeds,’ and the Christmas classic “Prancer,” starring Sam Elliott, Cloris Leachman, Abe Vigoda and Rebecca Harrell, which he shot "The Looking Glass" on his family’s fruit farm in Laporte County. His current production, , brings him home again, physically and emotionally. He says he “tried to catch the sense of returning to this place where you grew up, and falling in love with what you were not truly able to see before.
The story hits close to home for Hancock and Tristan. “Dorothy and I have reached a point in our lives where we’ve thought a lot about what we’ve accomplished, and what kind of legacy we hope to leave behind once we’re no longer here,” says Hancock, 76.
“You always hope you’ve had some type of impact on people, that what you did with your life meant something to people. That’s what this story is about: reaching out to those closest to you and imparting on them all your knowledge, all your life lessons so a part of you lives on.
“You’re preparing the next generation for greatness. That’s true not just for the characters in the film, but for Dorothy and me, that maybe we can inspire a new generation of filmmakers to create movies that mean something to people.”...

Chicago – Actor Sam Eliott will make you smile. The distinctive voice, his famous mustache and his character presence in a film or TV show increases any potential in the production. He recently was in Chicago with director Paul Weitz, as they teamed up in the film “Grandma,” starring the incomparable Lily Tomlin.
“Grandma” has a very unique premise. Tomlin is the title character of Elle, who is visited by her granddaughter Sage (Julia Garner). The girl is seeking an abortion, and her feminist poet grandmother seems like the right fellow traveler on her way to the procedure. Sam Elliott portrays Karl, Elle’s ex-husband – she left him for a same sex partner – who harbors a resentment toward circumstances in their relationship. The two meet along the way to the clinic, and the resentment boils to the surface.

Maybe these child stars are the smart ones — the ones who escaped Hollywood before their fame trains collided. They're the ones who could offer Amanda Bynes some advice. Before anyone calls these former stars has-beens, consider paying regards to their success at finding stability. Still, we miss you guys! The world isn't the same without Kimmy Gibbler and Ferguson Darling.

Previously on Flavor of Love 3: Prancer won the Total Package Contest, but all that really mattered was a mysterious phone call from a man threatening to come to the house and beat some people up unless Myammee paid him the $1,000 she stole. It was probably a prank by Rayna, but Myammee got eliminated anyway, as did Bunz because she has kids to take care of. Flavor Flav finally had enough of Shy's halitosis and begged her to eat a mint or something.
Flavor Flav announces the girls will be making a Flavor of Love 3 Girls calendar. Prancer thinks this is every girls dream. Yes, I'm certain if Hillary Clinton becomes president, her one great regret will be never posing suggestively for a calendar. Helping out are former Flavor of Love contestants Buckwild (who has her own clothing line) and Saaphyri (who has her own brand of lip chap, whatever...

Previously on Flavor of Love 3: The women performed plays for a group of children. Despite flashing her buns to the kiddies, Bunz stayed and Bee-Ex was eliminated because Oprah once gave her a date with Usher. So Bee-Ex went from going on The Oprah Winfrey Show to win a date with Usher to starring on Flavor of Love 3 to make out with Flavor Flav.
Myammee, clad in just a bikini, pays Flavor Flav a late night visit. He needs her to wait a second so he can drop the kids off at the pool and overdose the room with air freshener. I'm no doctor, but I think he has Ibs. Bunz gets a phone call from home saying bills are piling up, which concerns her. Then Rayna calls the house and makes a series of threats against the girls still their and Flavor Flav himself.
The next morning, Flavor Flav...

Previously on Flavor of Love 3: Shy continued her audition to be the next Tiffany Pollard (which is sad on many levels). Bee-Ex was on Fear Factor and Grayvee likes to eat pig's feet, which is worse, so Grayvee was eliminated. Hotlanta tested negative for herpes, which Flavor Flav celebrated like he just got his G.E.D.
After the elimination, Flavor Flav takes Bunz away for a night cap, making the other ladies angry because…I guess this week it's Bunz' turn to be the scapegoat? Meanwhile, Sinceer, Thing 1 and Thing 2 are still hating on Bee-Ex for being on Fear Factor. The next morning they get their challenge, which is to dress up in a costume and write a bedtime story about it. And you thought the Brothers Grimm were gruesome.
Shy is teamed with Myammee and Bunz, which sets her off. Bunz is the narrator, because having two...
