Tyler falls through the ice and is forced to take his pack off which sinks to the bottom of the lake. He manages to get to the shore and finds dry matches to light a fire and dry his clothes. He later starts walking and now has his pack on his back.
When Rosie is dumping Tyler's equipment out of his plane before taking off and leaving him, Tyler runs after him as he taxis down the ice. Rose then takes off, leaving Tyler. Since Tyler has run forward, all the equipment should be behind him (and us), but in the final shot of Rosie flying away, the stuff is in front of Tyler and stretching into the distance.
Sitting in his tent. a wolf comes sniffing around.and sniffs at Tyler's boots by the opening, the camera switches to Tyler then back to the wolf and the boots have gone.
The lead claims the wolves eat mice, which he proceeds to eat, but they are voles, not mice (which don't occur in the arctic).
According to Tyler's background narrations, it is early April when the snow melts and the lake is completely unfrozen by early May. In reality, snow in the Arctic doesn't melt until June.
In separate scenes there can be heard the sound of crickets chirping and peepers singing (frogs); neither of which occur in the arctic.
