Joe E. Tata, who portrayed the endearing Peach Pit diner owner Nat Bussichio on all 10 seasons of the original Beverly Hills, 90210, has died. He was 85.
Tata died Wednesday night, his daughter, Kelly Katharine Tata, announced on a GoFundMe page. Earlier, she wrote that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2018 and that he had been moved in April to the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills.
In what has to be some kind of record, Tata played henchmen to three supervillains — Frank Gorshin’s the Riddler, Burgess Meredith’s the Penguin and Victor Buono’s King Tut — on the 1966-68 ABC series Batman.
He also appeared in the ’60s on a trio of Irwin Allen-produced sci-fi shows — ABC’s The Time Tunnel (once as Napoleon) and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and CBS’ Lost in Space...

Valerie and Tristan - Foxtrot - Dancing with... by televisionpromos
Valerie Harper, legendary television star and recent battler of brain cancer, is sure to be a favorite on "Dancing With the Stars" this season -- the audience gave her a standing ovation before she danced -- will it be warranted?
For her debut dance, Harper and partner Tristan Macmanus did a fox trot and it turns out Ms. Harper is quite light on her feet. It's nice that the scads of votes she's bound to get won't be completely sentimental.
"It's good to be alive and it's even better to be dancing," says Valerie, after her performance and another standing ovation.
The judges were very complimentary while still offering some constructive criticism.
"You were radiant ... you move very, very well, you're light on your feet. ... Hold your balance a bit more," says Bruno. "Thank you for being on our show.

"Dancing with the Stars" Season 17 features some of the show's biggest celebrities ever. But can they dance? The season premiere will answer that question. From Valerie Harper to Bill Nye to Snooki, they're all taking the floor.
Follow along in this live blog.
First up in the new season:
Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd - cha-cha
Hard to say if this dance was good, what with the slow tempo and the fact that it's the first dance of all.
Len: "Sail along, that was fabulous!"
Bruno: "You lost time for a moment."
Carrie Ann: "I see a lot of potential."
Scores: 7+8+7 = 22
Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani - foxtrot
If you only look at the bottom half of Leah Remini's dress, you'll be impressed. Above that, there is a bra. As for the dancing, Leah looks kind of like she is mocking the entire proceeding. That's kind of cool...

It's good to be alive - and it's great to be a Roseanne fan! Coming off a slow news week, the single most important news since Roseanne went off the air in 1997 just came in during the weekend: Roseanne Barr will reunite with her on-screen husband, John Goodman, for her upcoming half-hour comedy Downwardly Mobile on NBC. Downwardly Mobile centers on a proprietor of a mobile home park, who's like a surrogate mother to all the unique people who live there in this challenging economy. While Roseanne herself stars as the park owner, Goodman sadly won't be teaming up with her as her husband, but rather play a man who works at the park and has a buddy-buddy relationship with her. So far so good. The show was created by Roseanne herself along with Eric Gilliand who was an executive producer on Roseanne. He and Goodman aren't the only ones bringing back the Roseanne magic,...

My son plays some pretty obscure online games. You have to leave the beaten track to find them. About six months ago he was playing one in my dungeon office at home, where I was using hypnosis to coax ideas out of a blank piece of paper. We had this conversation.
Him: Did you do this ad for (Respectable Upscale Client)? With the blind chameleon?
Me: Yup. We did that.
Him: Oh.
(Twenty minute pause.)
Me: Why do you ask?
Him: It's boring. Oh snap--gotcha! High five!
Me: What site are you on?
Him: Pimped-Out Mutants Slaughterpit 6.
To my son, fourteen with a gentle soul, all games are a version of the same game. Chess, NBA, Slaughterpit. He's interested in the pattern more than the scenario, a valuable life skill. One thing he's not interested in is anything I'm interested in. So what was the Respectable Upscale Client doing in a neighborhood like Slaughterpit?...
