- Granny the Old Witch: I am the keeper of the Hell Pond. I was asked by the captain.
- Osumi: Captain?
- Granny the Old Witch: That's right. The captain who controls the entire army of soldiers at the castle.
- [Queen Izato sneaks into the dungeon and unlocks the key to Osumi's cell. Osumi, shackled, is sound asleep. She looks around before stepping towards the prisoner]
- Queen Izato: [shaking his arm] Sir. Sir. Please wake up, sir.
- [She shakes his arm a little harder]
- Queen Izato: Sir! Wake up, will you?
- [She removes her veil and gently shakes the wooden frame Osumi is encased in]
- Queen Izato: Hey, wake up, sir. Hey.
- [Osumi doesn't respond and simply continues to snore. Izato caresses the side of the sleeping prisoner's face]
- Queen Izato: Hey, wake up. Hey.
- [She brushes back his hair with her other hand]
- Queen Izato: Hey, wake up!
- [She kisses him. Osumi sleeps on, blissfully unaware]
- Queen Izato: Hey, get up...!
- [She leans in to whisper something into his ear when she hears mocking laughter]
- Hermit the Old Wizard: You can't fool me.
- [the Queen backs angrily against the cell entrance and reveals herself to be Granny the Old Witch]
- Granny the Old Witch: Come out, old man!
- Osumi: That's why he makes his men wear that kind of a costume, isn't it? I mean those two who came to get the water.
- [Osumi drags Spuria into the court and confronts the king]
- Osumi: It's one thing to be a tyrant, but what a shame that the nation's king is a thief.
- [the witch confronts the wizard after being unable to wake up Osumi]
- Hermit the Old Wizard: Even if heaven and earth are torn asunder, that man will not wake up until sunrise.
- Granny the Old Witch: [suspecting the wizard put Osumi under a sleeping spell] Did you do this, old man?
- Hermit the Old Wizard: [laughing] Sort of.
- Ensai: You're a strange man. You won't tell me why you're coming with me. You won't tell me your name.
- Osumi: Really?
- Ensai: To be honest, you seem really weird to me.
- Osumi: Really?
- [Cut to later. Ensai is studying a map. Osumi comes over with water]
- Ensai: I'll ask you again... Why don't you think it over?
- Osumi: Really?
- Ensai: The caravan will turn back once they've made their trades in Pesil, but I intend to go as far as India via Gandhara to obtain Buddha's relics. I don't know how many years it'll take me or even if I'll make it home alive.
- Osumi: Really?
- Ensai: All you say is "Really, really" to whatever I ask. Your name is Really from now on.
- [Osumi almost chokes on his water]
- Ensai: Right, Really?
